  1. Andrew Lapping said " Rangers need to be punished for their arrogance, tax evasion and downright bullying " These people are mental .
  2. Im sure they did but was later denied by the SPL .
  3. We could also be found not guilty .
  4. I think it's almost a giving certainty the powers that be will be working on another cunning plan that will further damage our club and appese their master from the darkside. Or maybe im just getting paraniod...
  5. Probably because they are in it for to completely different reasons and have completely different visions on the way ahead for the club, and also lack of trust in Mr Green from the Smith team .
  6. or the CCWEYWACBTWLW Premier division Celtic can win every year without a challenge because thats what Liewwell wants premier division
  7. I could be wrong but I think I read somewhere that Green said he will own 2 million worth of shares as payment for his work , I think thats what he referes to when he said that .
  8. TIME FOR UNITY NOT FOR WALKING I can understand totally why a lot of our support would like to have Walter Smith and Jim McColl on board at the Rangers FC. I personally would like nothing better than for this to happen, however I will not be part of any demo or march against the new owners of our Club, who incidentally have done nothing wrong, let’s not forget they were the only ones who stood up and put the money where their mouths were to try and get us through a CVA and also to save the Club from liquidation when all others failed to do so. I can think of 100 others like the SPL the SFA, HMRC, David Murray, Craig Whyte, BBC, the Press, most of the SPL Clubs and their Chairmen, to be honest the list goes on and on and on, these are the people who have done damage to our Club and some more than others and some are also waiting to sink the boot into us given the chance. These are the people we should be marching or demonstrating against, not our own Club, I say again I can understand how some fans would like Walter Smith and Co. to guide us forward into a new Era, but I feel sure this could still happen if all parties involved were to get round the table and join forces to make us even stronger than we were before, at the moment all we are doing is playing into the hands of our enemies. It is with this in mind I would urge everyone to keep calm and pick our battles against our enemies and not against our own Club. Before anyone says it, or thinks I am saying this because I work at the Club, I can tell you this has nothing to do with it, I am and voicing my opinion as a Rangers Supporter first and foremost. 9. Another set of supporters blinded by jealousy.
  10. Sounds similar to a policy from across the city know as "Celtic minded" a policy that lead to them chasing a very successful manager out the door ( wee Gordon )
  11. Would also depend on what sanctions the SPL hit us with, for example if they decide to deduct us 25 points for 2 or 3 seasons and steal 75% of our Tv money for 3 seasons like has been mentioned, and with no chance of European football we would be playing in the SPL for no more than pride, while at the same time allowing ourself to be shafted. If that was the case we would be better dropping down the divisons and bagging the titles, while getting a much needed break from the toxic atmosphere of the SPL.
  12. Allow us to rebuild away from all the hatred and bile of the SPL .. A fresh challenge . Sometimes it's just better to take a step back to move forward in the long run.
  13. I was part of the Hampden protest but will not take part in this Rally . IMO If Sir Walter and his team put the right money on the table Mr Green will sell , no amount of pressure from the fans will change that.
  14. Picked this up from RM so dont have a link to the original article. ALLY McCOIST last night admitted he was hours from quitting Rangers but “stepped back from the brink” after crunch talks with Charles Green. McCoist confirmed the Record Sport story that he was set to leave the club after a row on Wednesday with newco chief executive Green. The manager believed he’d been put in an impossible position when told by a former director that Green was planning on getting rid of him. But after an early-morning meeting yesterday the pair agreed to end the feud which led to McCoist deciding he would remain in his post. And last night McCoist confirmed our story. He said: “It’s fair to say I didn’t deny that line at any time. “At first, when I was told there might have been a move to get me out my reaction was natural. I was furious. “I did confront Charles Green about it on Wednesday. I was looking for answers and that meeting didn’t end well. “I was then left with no other option but to contemplate my future believing that I wasn’t part of the plans. “It was clear we had to sit down and talk about all of this and we had another meeting yesterday. “I’ve reassessed my position and taken a step back from the brink. “As things stand at the moment I am still manager. “At critical times we all have to consider our futures but having said that the most important thing is not my future or what happens with Charles Green. “The most important thing is the future of my club. “Right now that is all that matters. So let’s all just see what happens but it must always be the right thing for Rangers.” McCoist’s fury erupted on Wednesday but everything changed a day later when a wealthy and powerful consortium headed by his mentor Walter Smith broke cover declaring they wanted to buy out Green’s group. Green paid only £5.5million for the assets of the old club after it was pushed into liquidation by HMRC but suddenly, despite his bluster, he found himself under pressure he didn’t expect. Rangers fans made it clear they wouldn’t be buying into his scheme, his day of triumph was undermined and he had to deal with the McCoist fall-out. In an attempt to claw back some credibility with the fans Green tried desperately to rubbish Record Sport’s story – with The Sun only too willing to swallow the line because they’ve been so far off the pace for more than a year – and then pressed for a meeting with McCoist yesterday. They met at 7.30am at the Glasgow offices of the club’s lawyers and McCoist agreed to stay on. Smith’s group, which includes bus tycoon Douglas Park and Jim McColl, regarded as one of Scotland’s wealthiest men, have been told they’ll have to come up with £20m to purchase the club, which is in keeping with Green’s outrageous statements. Even though he is given to hyperbole Green knows he can’t succeed without the fans and they have made it clear they won’t buy season tickets and they want him to deal with Smith’s group. Last night this consortium were still confident of buying Green’s people out believing the fans will line up behind them in ever greater numbers in the days ahead
  15. Getting away from the poison of the SPL for a few years could do us the world of good .
  16. I have not voted because im unsure what the poll is asking , is it to vote on what we think will be the SPL decision or vote on what we would prefere the decision to be ?
  17. If Div 1 is what the SPL numptys decide will be our fate then I would expect the team that finished 2nd in Div 1 would move up to the SPL and take our place , no club would drop out.
  18. Would be Div 3 then, IMO there's no chance they will vote us back into the SPL unless we have our hands tied for a few seasons
  19. SPL with heavy sanctions or Div 1 I think
  20. Exclusive By IAIN KING Published: 20 minutes ago WALTER SMITH has drawn up a two-year blueprint for his mission to rescue Rangers. comment on this story. SunSport can reveal that Smith and his consortium will launch their takeover bid within the next 48 hours. Accountants representing the group â?? which is bankrolled by Scotlandâ??s richest man Jim McColl and motor tycoon Douglas Park â?? will open talks with current owner Charles Green. The offer will not be near the £20million suggested by the Green camp. But Smith & Co hope the Yorkshire businessman can be persuaded to take a tidy profit and quickly step aside to allow the fansâ?? choice to take control of Gers. Meanwhile, Smith is on holiday in France contemplating his next move in the bid to secure the future of the club. SunSport can reveal: Smith will not be chairman or a director of football of the new Rangers, should his group wrest control. Ally McCoist will remain as boss over the next two seasons and wonâ??t be held hostage to results. Smith may not even take a seat on any football or business board. His main concern is to put the right people in charge to ensure Gers never again fall into the shameful state they are in now. Should his â??Dream Teamâ?? bid fail, there is no chance of Smith returning to Ibrox as part of the Green regime. The Group will invest significant money in the infrastructure of Ibrox and Murray Park. Smith will battle to encourage new investment into Gers and when that has been achieved he will step down. Smith, the only man the Rangers fans trust to unite their shattered club, has been courted by every regime and failed bid since Whyte bought over Sir David Murrayâ??s 85.3 per cent majority shareholding in Gers for £1. He has stayed on the sidelines though, and is only involved now because he feels McColl and Park have Rangersâ?? interests at heart and are not in this to make money. The consortium want to organise crunch talks over the weekend and begin the process of trying to land Rangers. But Green holds all the cards now as McColl and Park waited until the 11th hour to make their move. Now Smith and his backers face a nervous weekend as they prepare to start negotiations with Sevco. He was offered a boardroom position by shamed former owner Whyte but declined it. Green will get the same answer, so turning down this offer and trying to keep Smith in the loop is not an option for the new owners. Now the test for Green will be if he wants to fight a bloody battle with the fans or bow to pressure and accept the offer that is looming. Read more: http://www.thescotti...l#ixzz1xubxsozv
  21. Rangers football club still exsist, the company who owned them is no more , the football club lives on.
  22. As far as im concerned it's not even open for debate, Rangers football club was here for 27 years before the company, and it will be here long after the original company has gone . New company but the football club is still the same football club that first kicked a ball in 1872.
  23. I dont think its fair to judge Ally after his first season as manager, esp giving the situation the club was in . Also I think it was Calscot who post some facts that showed that Ally actually had an above average record in the league when compared to previous managers.
  24. Give Ally another chance mate ...Im happy with that.
  25. I hope if this goes ahead it does not backfire on us .. IMO not buying ST is a risk . How can we be sure Green will sell to Sir Walter ?
