Rangers Administrators Sold Players Contracts To The Newco Wed 11th Jul 2012 15:41 The twist to whether Steven Davis is elegible to sign for Saints took another twist today when the administrators for the old Rangers stating they sold the players contracts to new owner Charles Green. Just what that will mean to Saints purchase of Steven Davis at the moment is uncertain and it could be a legal wrangle that will be solved quickly or it could run and run, certainly the administrators of the old Rangers Duff & Phelps are satisfied that they sold the contracts to the newco under TUPE regulations which protect employee terms and conditions when parts of a business are sold to another company and if this is the case then Saints could have a legal battle on their hands, or at least would have to negotiate with Rangers newco over a transfer fee for Davis. The big question though is how this issue is written into the contract, I would imagine there is some sort of break clause in as its highly possible that Saints negotiated wages and signing on fees etc based on the fact they were getting the player on a free, if they now had to pay a substancial fee for Davis would they feel that signing the player would be a good deal, that is the question we will soon find out. Certainly new owner Charles Green and Duff & Phelps seem confident in their legal position and indeed Green sent out letters to football clubs across the UK warning them of the legal position. Perhaps the strangest stance is that of the PFA, they have advised their members at Rangers not to transfer to the newco, strange because normally they would be fighting tooth and nail in these situations for their members rights to have their contracts paid in full when clubs change hands as in the situation at Portsmouth, its seems thet the PFA likes to run with the foxes and hunt with the hounds and is not afraid to offer its members conflicting advice when it suits them Why would the PFA give members conflicting advice, what would they gain by players walking out and not joining the newco?

Have you heard some of the venom and bile spat at Rangers supporters by other clubs supporters. That's what football supporters do , we are no worse than any other group of supporters. Why should we change to appease other clubs supporters who will hate us regardless of what we do . Do you think if we stop singing the sash and Derrys walls, stop waving the Union flag and singing rule Britannia that other clubs supporters will start to like us, or a few years down the line a new generation of supporters of other clubs will grow up not to hate Rangers ? Of course they won't and all the time the Timmy propaganda machine and their mhedia monkeys will be churning out more lies and spin, the Aberdeen fans will be telling their kids all about the big bad Rangers. Like wise with supporters all over the country. We are the most successful club in the country, envy and jealousy will breed hatred . I honestly think there's nothing we can do to change that except keep fighting our corner, get our own PR machine on the go and fight back that way. Maybe other people need to change and become more tolerant of what large numbers of Rangers supporters regard as their traditions and heritage.

People hate us because the mhedia have been stitching us up for decades and nobody has stood up to them and challenged the lies , only recently the fans have taken it on their self to do so with groups like Vangaurd bears . The general public have bought into the decades of mhedia lies and spin, when our fans HAVE done wrong every incident has been blown out of proportion and dragged out in the full mhedia glare. Timmy web sites are sending out 24/7 propaganda against our club and have been relentless at it for years, you can include the bbc as part of the Timmy propaganda machine. No wonder people hate us because very rarely have lies about our club been challenged from within the club . The Timmy propaganda machine is top notch . We lost the PR battle a long long time ago .

I did read the thread , i'm asking you what I should change when I turn up to support my team, what is it that i'm doing that makes people hate our club ? I turn up watch a game of football sing a few songs then go home . Most other fans do exactly the same thing

We should change because people don't like us. That's on a par with the Killie fans groveling to Celtic that they are sorry for not doing as they were told .

So what should we not do at matches that will make people start to like us again ?

No league, no SFA membership, half the squad walked out, and constant bullshite from people pretending they want to buy the club and trying to turn fans against him will be more of a concern to Green than signing a subbuteo contract. It's a non-story as far as i'm concerned, something that can be sorted by signing a document. Not an issue unless you want it to be .

This Regan guy is a headcase , It's a concern that a man as twisted as he appears to be has the power to effectively kill off a 140 year old club by refusing us membership of the SFA. I just get the impression that he came here to Scotland intent on causing as much damage to our club as possible . Paranoia ? maybe, but his actions don't help, and the fact that Liewell was the man to bring him into Scottish football add to that way of thinking.

I think Green has a lot more to worry about than signing a subbuteo contract.

Misleading headline as usual, because it then goes on to say Richard Wells, sales director at Subbuteo maker Paul Lamond Games, said: “We agreed a licence and the team was ready to go. “But we’ve had to apply for a new licence with the newco Rangers. “The contract is ready and waiting to be signed — but it’s probably not the first thing on the management’s mind right now.” So Subbuteo never dumped Rangers, only Rangers have not signed the agreement yet . Another non-story put out to get a further dig at Rangers , must be said that this one is really scrapping the barrow.

I think you will find that Aberdeen fans declared us the enemy a long time ago, because that's what they wanted to do. Nothing we could have done would have changed that, and nothing we do in the future will change that. I wouldn't want that to change anyway because outwith Celtic there's not a more vile group of supporters in the country than the sheep molesters.

This must never be allowed to happen. They will finish us off for good if they ever get a foot in the door.
