Hugh Keevins: Rangers star Ian Black may drive a Bentley but......
JTP replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Writing about the car a guy drives to make a (not so great) point. Really Hugh? Journalism from the gutter at it's finest. -
With the current board in place I'd like the security come what March.

Where would he meet 35,000 people? Eh excuse me lads but can I borrow Ibrox and the tannoy for an hour haha
-
Fixed that for you stb

I fully expect him to Ian. Although I believe he only arrived today and he's already had a meeting with the fans. Lets give him some time.

King to set out pay-as-they-play scheme to Rangers fans

To be honest I couldn't care either way. The damage as far as I'm concerned is done. They are unfit for purpose.- 78 replies

"More details will be released in the coming days" Guess they just wanted a quick message to do the rounds. Some would moan if they didn't, can't win them all eh.

An assumption yes probably. However IF the assumption is correct then it has been proven they did not look in the correct places. Therefore they failed as a board. Infact I'd go as far as saying the head of the investment committee should be sacked for it.- 78 replies

How much time do you think he has? The quickest way to do it is surely via the fans groups? I'm not part of any fan groups either but I rely on their output hence I've read the statement above probably an hour after the meeting finished.

Securing Ibrox and MP will wipe out the fears of selling/lease back so that's a huge selling point itself.

If he lets Chuck take the minutes will you jump on board?

King to set out pay-as-they-play scheme to Rangers fans
JTP replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Let me answer this one in the way in which most Rangers fans right now are annoyed about the whole saga. The point here is that the board DID NOT TRY and get a cheaper loan elsewhere. Rather, they have been found out with their payday loan attempt. Pathetic all round I'd say. They now leave themselves no option but to accept the cheaper loan as a means of getting back onside somewhat with fans.- 78 replies

The board have already ushered King out the door once. This time can you forgive him for stocking up on the ammunition?- 78 replies

Be interesting to note when our "annual premiums" fall for renewal. By that I mean our employee's health insurance and such like. Pretty sure these will be annual premiums as opposed to monthly payments. Can only imagine our insurance for players would be quite a chunky number.- 78 replies

I'm a tad disappointed. I was expecting him to ride home on a white horse. Suppose a white car will have to do.- 78 replies

We will have one recognised (decent) centre half in Mohsni. Assume Jig stays there as our two. We are an injury away from struggling as IMO Perry, Faure, Hegarty are poor replacements. That then leaves us with two recognised strikers in Daly/Clark assuming Little leaves aswell. Shiels I suppose can play up there too but with his injury record can you count on him for a full season? That's a CH and a striker required straight away. Guess how do you gamble with injuries? It's impossible.

I'd imagine losing the ones who are out of contract (Cribari, Hutton etc) and bringing in freebies on the same wages. It can be done. Or worst case, selling the likes of Wallace which I hope doesn't happen.

£80k Ouch. Were the builders using the Seville calculator?

This is the worst part for me. Add up what these guys have contributed and then think about we need to pay them all for ANOTHER year is just quite frankly shocking mis-management (by whoever agreed their contracts).

I read that first post and "new kit" and was like WTF. Why bump this?

We could always ask Glasgow City Council to throw some heavily discounted (or shall we call it free) land to us and quickly (the very same day) secure some borrowings on it. What's that? Someone has already done that. Oh well ............

We've seen charges like this before (McCollco etc) however i feel this one may have the most promise yet. I can only hope.
