  1. Is the timing of the further £1m loan coincidental, following the letter from the RST to the Stock Exchange, or was this done to match the terms offered by Brian Kennedy? I generally don't believe in coincidence and I am not about to start now!
  2. I hope Hardie gets another opportunity at first team level before too long. Seems to be a goal machine at U20's.
  3. I was watching Sky Sports this morning and when listening to Sandy Easdale, I was astonished at the level of contempt that he demonstrated towards the fans. He was asked a question about the fans having concerns, was this loan the best deal for Rangers etc. and his answer was along the lines of "we're doing the best we can, if the fans don't like it, they can do one". Has there ever been a level of disconnect between any company and their paying customers (as that is exactly how we are perceived by the shareholders), as there is at present day Rangers?
  4. "This initiative is a fantastic way for our fans to get closer than ever to their Club". Do you not think it would be more appropriate if it was the other way around i.e. the club trying to get closer to the fans? The benefits on offer leave me absolutely cold. As an overseas based bear, I have wrestled with the dilemma of how to support the club, rather than the shareholders and had hoped that membership would enable a fans representative on to the football board, at the very least, to put across our concerns. I look at this 'offer' and see it for what it is, a money making gimmick.

    pre season

I think Barry McKay had mentioned in the Evening Times article that the players would be back in next Wednesday (25 June)
  6. Elfideldo, not sure of this has been asked of you before, and if so I apologise, but your thoughts on the Telfer situation? Was he deserving of an opportunity in the first team? Is he talented enough to go greater heights under a manager more open to using youngsters? Have Rangers lost out on a future superstar? How did Telfer compare to his counterparts at u20 level? Many thanks
  7. Durrant was another who was such a joy to watch. Staggering to think that this was after his injury. What a player he could have become. (Perhaps he wouldn't have got into coaching had he spent his entire football career at Rangers)
  8. Neil McCann was such an underrated player. I always thought that he brought a nice balance to the team when he played on the left wing. Great memories, thanks for posting that.
  9. Possibly the market had anticipated a Dave King offer for the listed shares, which given the acrimony, now seems more improbable.
  10. Why does he state that Dave King is a South African? I live in South Africa (have done so for over 30 years) but still view myself as Scots and am more fanatical about my support for Rangers every passing day. Genuine question here, do Scotsmen living in Scotland believe that anyone in exile is no longer a Scot/has forfeited their birthright due to living in a different country or is it just Bill?
  11. He would be an absolute flier if he got off the Nando's then!
  12. If he stated that the level of performances from January onwards was unacceptable, despite the unbeaten run, I could find some sympathy, but he genuinely seems to believe that scraping wins against painters and posties has created a successful season!
  13. Didn't Amoruso recommend Cribari to Ally? Not saying that this is not a good idea, but even the pros can get it wrong as well!
  14. Could you do a 1,000 word article and make my day!
  15. I think that Sandy knows fine well what he said, but at least Dave King is offering an olive leaf of sorts with his diplomatic response.
  16. I don't think so, iirc, he voted in favour of the board with the exception of Brian Stockbridge
  17. I assume that Sandy will have instructed his lawyers to go after 3names for libel, or does that only apply to criticism from Rangers supporters?
  18. I was genuinely pleased when Wallace was appointed, but unfortunately it is clear that he is merely a puppet for the shareholders and has absolutely zero authority. Anyone attempting to 'sell' a 6 month facility that offers a 30% APR secured against assets as the best deal on offer is either smoking his socks, or believes that the support base are stupid. For me, he has lost all credibility through this action, and the subsequent statement really just reinforces my perception that we are being taken for granted.
  19. That's a disgraceful and hugely misleading headline and should be equally applied to all senior clubs in Scotland, not just Rangers and Hearts. I opened it up with trepidation, expecting to see that we had stopped making payment for one or other of our debts, only to find that this is about GBP20! However, I do agree in principal that senior clubs should make reparation of some sort to the Boys clubs for their expenses in nurturing a youngster to a reasonable level.
  20. Agreed, but how many opportunities could have been created at the other end, had we kept a striker up front instead of defending a corner?
  21. I hate to say it, but I agree with just about everything in the article.
  22. Stockbridge is still earning a FD's salary, and yet Wallace saw fit to bring in Phillip Nash as a consultant to oversee the cost cutting (which would be within the remit of any competent financial director!) If he was able to do the job for which he is employed, there would be no need for a consultant.
  23. Able to call upon the expertise of Jim McColl and Dave King for advice.
