Why shouldn't it be 55 and counting when Gers win the Div.3 title?
BlueMazza replied to a topic in Rangers Chat
You just made it offensive by that bit at the end. Get a grip on yourself. I like how you conveniently ignored the whole part about the other clubs we are helping by gate receipts being up. You start to lose an argument when you pick and choose what suits you. Did you really expect Rangers to go to 3rd division and automatically become a club with a budget of Peterhead? The new rules coming in to place may help ease your conscience a bit but it will take a while. -
I always liked Eck. I pretty much hated the way he was treated considering the success he brought - yes for the bores I know titles et al are not the be all and end all.

Why do you even like football then? What's the point of you watching if you think the teams with more money than others are just big cheats? You must really hate Chelsea then eh? There is big money in football. It is what it is. I think your expectations were frankly ridiculous. What exactly do you think our budget should have been then? £20 a week and a pint after the game? Like it or not, we are Rangers, regardless of the division we are in. We are a proud club steeped in wonderful history, to take our budget down to the breadline would imo be entirely silly. All your moaning about cheating yet I don't hear the third division clubs complaining about gate receipts that have drastically changed their futures. One of the reasons we wanted to go to division 3 was to spread the wealth a little. YES get away from celtic and the rest, give something to the other clubs who were gracious and composed. On our way up we will help what 30 clubs finances? Cheating indeed. (P.S I hate being called a girl. I grew up a long time ago) -

Wowzers you are not getting this are you? We didn't exactly go out and blow £7 million on players to win Division 3 now did we? We had players on contracts. I'm far from happy with a lot of things, but I accept the position we are in, which is unique and I in no way expect everything to be fixed in one go. It's like a YEAR since we went in admin, what the hell do you expect to have happened? Your posts are silly on this and please do not presume to know my thoughts, or put words in my mouth. -
Fair point there.

My husband's gran wrote a letter to Souness about Ally being dropped and how it was a disgrace and couldn't Mr Souness see that Ally is a lovely boy and a cracking player. He sent her a personal reply and assured her not to worry, Ally would find his way back in. She died last year and she had left a box full of replies to letters she sent, she wrote to everyone! She even wrote to the Pope because her friend who was catholic was sick and could the pope think of her in his prayers as her friend would like that.

What's the point of football then? Give every team the world over the exact same budget, regardless of size of support. Players of the same level. Sorry but this is absolute nonsense you are talking here. IF we play Man U or Chelsea I think FANTASTIC. What a game to go to, we could get an upset maybe. Rangers imo the greatest team in the world to support, however I'm not blind to the fact we are not the greatest football team. It's part of the fun of football. -

But you just compared us with CL teams budgets... -
I think the problem may lie with the team/family aspect. I don't see/feel that so much, as I have with Rangers teams of the past. The togetherness just doesn't seem to be there. Maybe Ally is feeling uninspired himself? Who knows, but to me it doesn't feel the same as teams in the past. I DO think lack of experience accounts for a fair bit, with the younger lads. I'm willing to give us this season. It's an odd one. Lowest division, illegal transfer ban, the whole of Rangers pretty much turned on it's head. This is the season I've chilled out a bit, I know it doesn't look great but to be honest, I didn't expect it to. next season I expect a lot more from all. No place to hide.

Huh? It's not moaning to compare budgets and suggest that yeah we might get hammered because another team have superior budgets/players. Football would be boring shite if every team was exactly the same level. I've never heard anyone compare the CL to cheating - unless of course you are talking about the recent corruption news? So for me your comparison is flawed and actually a bit nonsensical. -
Bloody hell.

Craig Levein couldn't pick his nose, let alone a proper Scotland team. Lee Wallace, regardless of the league he is playing in, is one of the best in Scotland. Unfortunately he's surround by players of inferior quality. He is not the issue here and I'm glad Strachan called him up.

Cheating? I'm really surprised you would use that turn of phrase. It is nothing like cheating. It's not tainted in any way shape or form. We all (collectively, as Rangers fans, not necessarily individually) agreed div 3 is where we should work from. Get away from the toxic SpHell & Them. That happened and now you think a league win is tainted? Can't win any which way. -
Agreed my boss got a letter at the weekend saying he owed '000's and his tax code was zero allowance for next year. They'd just added two zeroes on to his annual wage. Totally incompetent most of the time.

One of my top 3 Rangers jerseys as well. Glad to hear he is off for treatment can only hope he finds peace somehow.

They are not tags they 'have to live with'. They are tags you are trying to put on them. Seriously, there is so much anti-Rangers sentiment we could focus on, instead you wish to drive people away from supporting our club by calling them traitors etc.
-
There is nothing here, to back up such claims. Yet again hyberbolic sentences used without a care. All about making us out to be angry club. This goes hand in hand with Leckie's argument. So because the club is talking more, we are just angry. It's the most basic way of ensuring people don't listen. It's like telling someone having a reasoned debate to 'calm down', done purely to antagonise. I'm not going to argue about the McCoist stuff, I can't. But the rest, plus Leckie feels like another attempt to undermine us.
-
Never knew that.

Ok. Key words from this article as to why it's utter shite: assault on Willo Flood Director of Provocation bash out angry press releases They’ve got something inflammatory to say on anything and everything A complete non-story (funnily enough, a trick learned from the scottish mhedia eh leckie?) But it seems Rangers have made their choice. They don’t want to win people round with a charm offensive. They just want to be offensive. There you go folks. Balanced Scottish journalism at it's finest.
-
Traitors? Oh ffs. Shall we put them in stocks?
-
No calling a view lunacy isn't. Call you a lunatic would be
-
Oh ok then. But don't feel sorry for me. Quite happy with my stance. I supported the boycott, I just don't feel the need to slag off a fellow fan who decided not to.
-
Really? So because a CEO says don't do something, you should not do it, not question it? Toe the party line or be castigated? That's sheer lunacy.
-
People went because they wanted to. Not everyone agreed with the boycott. Neither stance makes anyone a better fan than anyone else.
