  1. Celtic play in Europe & get beat. Negative Rangers story.
  2. Yes and it was nice to have such balanced studio guests
  3. and: Yes I know, chairman, dignity blah blah but really he just doesn't seem to have a brain filter
  4. Still reading it but this is great:
  5. One of the commentators last night said something along the lines of 'the football rules are different in every country' Say what now? I think he meant applied but I always thought the rules were the rules. Anyway, surely if the Juve defenders hadn't done that, Commons/Hooper et al would get done for obstruction of the keeper or something? Keepers are usually a protected species
  6. I agree. They were prepared to lose possession as they were confident in themselves. They were quite happy to let Celtic have a go. I don't believe the same will be true in the 2nd leg, however juve can relax a bit more. I just really enjoyed watching a team string passes together, even if fairly often they went nowhere. Personally I think Celtic played into their hands, they ran themselves ragged and Juve didn't, so they were fresh enough to score the two in the latter stages. I've seen lots saying juve cheated, Celtic were the better team etc & whilst I agree they were very threatening, I don't really agree they were the better team.
  7. I noticed with the Juve game last night (which actually was an entertaining game to watch) they will never hump the ball up the field from a keeper, if they can help it. The times they passed across their own box - well if it was Rangers doing it, my heart would have been in my mouth. They play patient, skillful football and build from the back. I'm shocked at some of the deserter/traitor comments, I don't understand that mentality.
  8. It's taken Leggo this long to stop reading the Wail? Anyway, I would love the BBC star man Daly to get in trouble for this, clearly there is wrong doing somewhere.
  9. Vile. Out of interest is it just Catholics you believe should be hounded out or any religion other than yours?
  10. Am I missing something here? I'm just looking at a load of buses Help out the tired and possibly thick?
  11. Personally (regardless on opinion of the debt etc) I think that is a fantastic statement and well overdue. Strongly worded, right to the point and very much a 'come on, try it again'. Really pleased to see such a well worded statement. Tomorrow I expect to see news to the effect of 'angry Ranger ranted' or 'worried Ranger launch offensive' All hyperbolic aimed at making Rangers sound like loons.
  12. He's a good actor then cause put him in an interview and he can barely complete a sentence without beaming
  13. "Duff & Phelps say owner Whyte has agreed to transfer his 85% majority shareholding to two of the parties in the bidding process" from bbc article http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18028910 D&P never appear to have said one of those parties was BK
  14. why lazy? What makes it lazy?
  15. I know Whyte had extreme hatred for Paul Murray and didn't want his shares going there. As STB pointed out I *think* he said Kennedy could get them too. the Green bringing in Whyte (OH THE FUCKING IRONY IS KILLING ME) sounds more plausible. Green I could credit that amount of brains, Whyte, not so much.
  16. Yes I did and I also wanted to know why he was so desperate to get D&P involved and all the lies he told. It's kinda why I'm wearing thin a bit with Green. He seems to talk as much as Whyte did and on a few things he's easily called out. But, I don't know if I think it's a big deal, if it's on smaller stuff.
  17. *sigh* I wasn't pointing fingers I'm making the point that 31 pages in and no one has a good answer and people slip back into the barbed comments at each other.
  18. Kind of ridiculous though isn't it, that Rangers should have to respond to what COULD be a normal business transaction. What pathetic, petty minded person is sticking so close to us that they are digging up this shit. I actually thought the response of 'not worthy of further comment' was pretty good. The fans who say they have trust in Green should trust him then. Half the Rangers fans on my twitter yesterday were in overdrive freaking the fuck out. What's the point in that? All you do is feed the trolls.
  19. Bloody hell about half of this thread is just more mud-slinging, pain in the arse to read through and I still have no idea what the fuck is going on. Personally I'm interested in what GS has to say as I can see why it would make sense. Not saying I agree but the whole picture would be good. Don't see that happening on here though as others would just bitch. As you were.
  20. Time to shine Andy. I have less concern about upfront than I do about defence.
  21. Fair play to Leggo on this one. It's comical that Blyth stood up and told others not to go, then comes out with 'but Ally said..' Resignation was the only option.
  22. Quite a lot actually. I believe one trip to Hampden equalled 4 years worth of budget to them. Tell me Elgin can't do more with their team after playing us so many time? The change you require is league reconstruction, not our budget. Personally I think Alexander is a quality keeper and given he was UNDER CONTRACT not much could be done. Also just because the club was consigned to the bottom tier, did that make Alexander lose all skill/worth and become the equivalent of a part time keeper? He STAYED. That has value imo. The new rules will effect other clubs, isn't that your point/problem? Do you think with these new rules Peterhead will go and win the Champions League? No, me neither. How do you propose to make that happen? I did answer, you just don't listen. "Spunking money" as you so eloquently put it won us a fair few titles, shall we hand them back? That's what the investigation is for I suppose, so I assume you will have no issue if they decide to remove our titles?
  23. I'm not going to panic on this. Tomo put this out in caps "RANGERS NEWCO WINDING UP ORDER" with a link then replied to someone saying 'he wants to see us well run' and something about magnificent fans. I'm going with this being a complete non-story, nothing major. Let people scream & shout about it, as when the club come out with their statement they'll shut up quickly. There is no point being agitated about it until we know more. As far as I'm aware this isn't entirely unusual practice.
  24. I dont' understand his comments about people coming back to the club? Laudrop? Smith? Did he mean he doesn't envisage any more? Did he forget? Generally I like Green enough but sometimes the shit he says freaks me out as I do question everything else.
  25. Now that is a reasoned argument. I'm not going to argue about Sandaza & Cribari. Black I'm not so bothered on. It's fine to say we could have done better, it's not fine to say we've cheated our way to a title. It's also wholly arrogant to say this trophy means nothing. It means a lot to other clubs who before we were demoted would have been chasing it. As a result they have had the payoff of playing us 4 times each which I remember a chairman (Peterhead's I think) saying that he would quite happily accept that situation as it helps the clubs long term prospects. I'm pretty angry that a fan of the club would call it cheating. Talk about handing your enemies the win. ETA: I know Kuz you haven't suggested cheating, just showing the difference between a reasoned argument and a stupid one.
