The taxi driver guy is a foaming at the mouth mentalist. I've heard a call he made to talksport and he spent the time yelling about freemasonry conspiracies etc. I'm still on the fence with this. I liked Chris Graham's thoughts on it. A joke/prank should be fun, but somebody has lost their job here. Yes he was utterly stupid but I find the whole thing really distasteful

Where is this story from? Green shouldn't be putting out stories like this, sorry but the focus needs to be on what the actual fuck is going on, because I'm more confused than ever.
-
So...is there a story?

Good, although I wonder if it will actually dig up those involved.

Old Firm absence leads to drop in domestic violence
BlueMazza replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
Those people probably can't behave themselves on most other days either. On matchdays, it's a catalyst for what is already there. -
Excellent. Nice gesture, I await the 'bribe' accusations though. Good statement.

Amms, I get what you are saying but as they marched anyway, what did they expect? If the dickhead EDL applied for a march, were refused & did it anyway, I can't imagine many people would argue with the police presence. You ignore the law, it's your own problem. Maybe the police had a reason for denying the march (or whomever makes the decision). Rangers fans were denied a march and never went. -
Old Firm absence leads to drop in domestic violence

I believe up to a third of cases of female on male. It's incredibly hard to be accurate though as unfortunately the stigma works two ways. Many men suffer in silence as they are embarassed (a similar issue female victims have, not wanting to show friends/family the truth) & also for men, the police reaction. I believe it is improving now but not enough. Around two women a week die as a result of living with or fleeing from DV & their partners' taking their life. Female abusers are highly unlikely to kill their partner. Unbelievably, the governments are only now taking cases seriously for teenagers in relationships. -

Completely agree. It does also derail the issue & the comments made it sound as thought it's not a problem really other than on those 4 days of the year. I think it's a good thing there has been a drop, but eventually Rangers will play Celtic again. Not having a game does not deal with the underlying issue, and it's lazy & stupid of the media & police to intimate it does. I'd like to see the police figures on what *they* have done to reduce domestic violence rates. -

Great from Chris. I knew nothing of this at all. I watched the video, all I could hear was the person recording himself being a complete tosser to the police. -

Any fall in domestic violence is only a good. I understand your point DB but to me it's not the point. I do wish the dumbass cop hadn't said 'we'll take this holiday' when there is still an average of what 67 reports a weekend. That is 67 people being abused by the person supposed to care about them. So no, you won't take it as a holiday, you insensitive prick. Hopefully real figures when released will give more of an indication. Even one act of DV perpetrated by a Rangers fan is one too many and it is not something to get complacent about, if proven the other side has more. -
That is just looking out for his own club. It's a tough one. I hold no malice to Dunfermline at all and I hope they survive. Not sure about actively helping them, but if it was something all SFL clubs were doing then fine with me. SPL clubs are different. Again, I don't want to see any club die, that would be horrendous, but no I wouldn't offer support to Hearts. Their fans were vociferous in their hatred of us when we struggled. Let them sort their own out, like we have done. Does he have to say 'Presbyterian' granny EVERY time he mentions her?

Nightmare for him, hope it's not as bad as the first look.

Yes it infuriated me actually. Complete spitting of the dummy. I understand how easy it is to be defensive when you are one against many but although we joke about nando's ban, it's based on repeated tweets about going. It's not just Hutton at fault here and he maybe felt jumped upon but his response could have been a bit more mature.

All done

I was one of the ones who responded. At one point he tweeted about get abuse after 'a day of training' and I really couldn't stop myself responding 'it's hardly a day'. I've seen Jig tweet about being at the golf course at 12pm after training and regularly see Alexander around that time as I work near MP. Now, I didn't see people being abusive and I wouldn't condone that, but people are happy to dig at Ally and his tactics, why shouldn't we be able to tell the players a little more on their part would help too. Football isn't your average job & I appreciate you can't be doing suicide runs or whatever 8.5 hours a day. But the team are not playing as a team. I don't feel the same camaraderie as I have in previous teams, that family feeling. It's frustrating as a fan to see players away home at lunch time when the play is horrendous on match day. I've never really gotten in to the criticism this year, I appreciate we are not going to be as strong this year and I don't expect us to win every game, but expecting us to play football is not a big ask. We're not asking for extremes of 12-15 hour days. Just showing a level of commitment which I don't always feel from this current team.

Leggat - More Evidence Of Scotlands' Pro-Celtic Press
BlueMazza replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
A lot better from Leggo there. Less name calling and over-excitedness and more connecting the dots. Well that's interesting, but sadly not surprising -
Tbf if it was the Sun or the Daily Wail I'd call them offensive
-
Actually i think Traynor has started off well. Also, try having Green as your boss and trying to run PR. Must be a nightmare. I'm GLAD he goes on shows like Talksport. I heard their reaction to the Celtic statement after the inquiry. The points are being made, Scottish journos get less exclusives/scoops. Down south we are getting more of a fair hearing. Yes his last statement wasn't the greatest but ffs people should chill out a bit. Green has character and presence, a dream for the the media.

LOL really? for me then!

What about a share with partick thistle? They are strapped badly and even considering selling Firhill for as little as £500K
-
Seems HMRC are after a share as well. I have no axe to grind with DAFC at all, but the differing reactions to them & Hearts vs the one to us is galling to say the least.

Hearts staff told at meeting 'club could go into administration'
BlueMazza replied to a topic in General Football Chat
So which is it? No threat to hearts or they may get 'plunged' (the fave media word) into admin?
