Of course there are lots of them, I would presume most players in Scotland would think that it's OK to bet on a game that there club is not involved in. But in Black's case how could he possibly think that betting on or against any club he's playing for would be OK - I personally think that if the accusations are true then he has no excuse

The most serious accusation against Black is he bet against his own team.

This may have already been mentioned. But it could be if he bet against Rangers then the bet involved giving the other team a head start. For example in the game against East Stirling he takes Rangers at minus 2 but bets on a draw he would win his bet as the result as far as the bookie would be concerned it is a draw. But Rangers still win - not that, that is any excuse for him he shouldn't be doing it in the first place

Good to see the forum back. I know I don't post much but I always make Gersnet my first port of call to find out whats going with Rangers

I often wonder what happened in that week or so between the Smith/McColl bid to the withdrawal of the bid.

"@Martin1Williams: #Rangers oldco ACTUAL debt would amount to around £31m - just £3m more than #Hearts coz #Ticketus are chasing their £26m from #CraigWhyte" Interesting from Martin Williams the above excludes Ticketus who subsequently pursued Whyte and the big tax case

Foster is never going to be anymore than what he is a solid player. Not great, not bad but will do what you tell him to do -
ASA say we are the worlds most succesful club

They must be running out of people to cry to about us. Surely?? I await the"god came to me in a dream and said rangers are a new club" moment. I might have missed that though it's hard to keep up with their shit -

Does the selling club not just release the players registration, we then sign them on a contract and register them on September 1st? That was my understanding of it. I could be wrong, but I always figured we could sign anyone we wanted just not register them -

Can we not sign anyone we want be that paid for or free agents? We just can't register them until September 1st -
I think their is a good chance we will sell Wallace in the summer. He signed a new deal last summer most likely for more money. Can we really afford high earners in Div 2? Signing Smith makes sense if he can maintain his fitness.

Berra is free from Wolves. If he'd take a cut in wages. I'd take him he did ok in England -
To me they all seem as bad as each other. Ahmad talks about doing things for the good of the club. None of their self serving has been for the good of the club.

Alastair Johnston: there's a cancer spreading through Rangers
Crimson Dynamo replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Paul Murray may well have had little power but he had a duty to ensure process was followed Non-executive directors are the custodians of the*governance*process. They are not involved in the day-to-day running of business but monitor the executive activity and contribute to the development of strategy. The above was taken from Wikipedia did he do any of that? I accept Dave King had other things he was concerned with. But what did the rest of them do when Whyte was negotiating with Murray -
Alastair Johnston: there's a cancer spreading through Rangers
Crimson Dynamo replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I think if memory serves Johnston reported Whyte to a financial authority well after the fact when Whyte already owned the club and were already in administration Was it not Duff and Phelps that reported Whyte to the Police or the Crown Office as it was based on the report they provided to the Crown Office that their is a Police investigation into Whytes activities Other than that I don't really remember them doing anything I may be wrong. But personally I was shocked at all that was published in the bringing the game in to disrepute hearing. That so many concerns were raised to Murray etc.. but essentially everything still happened as planned by Whyte. They all had a duty to the clubs shareholders to report him to everybody that would listen and failed in this task. If just one of them had came out and said "Craig Whyte is barred from being a company director" then who knows what might have happened.......................
