Is that not the same thing we are asking about BPH and Zeus?

The current board will win at the AGM this week because simply the requisitioners would not put their hand intheir pocket and buy shares. If we want rid of Zeus then buy them out If we want rid of Blue Pitch then buy them out It really is that simple

Possibly but either way he makes himself unpopular. I just don't he should be involving himself in decisions on who serves on the board

He'd have been better off abstaining from the vote.

Lloyds Change Attitude Towards Football Clubs!
Crimson Dynamo replied to amms's topic in Rangers Chat
I agree we were always doomed when Whyte took over But Murray, Whyte and Green have all said that the financial plan that Rangers were working to didn't work each said Rangers were making a loss of around £10m a season each for their own reasons but it all adds up to the same in the end it was financial mismanagement of the club. That's why Murray started using EBT's to compete, it's why the bank effectively ended up in control of Rangers, it's how Whyte put us into admin and Green essentially continued with same operating plan that the club runs to a loss. It is completely insane that we are paying SPL wages to win League 2, League 1 and the Championship. -

Ultimately it was financial mismanagement that caused the oldco's downfall. Murray's fault any bank could take advantage of that -
Lloyds Change Attitude Towards Football Clubs!

I'm just not convinced that Lloyds forced Murray into selling to Whyte. If so for what purpose? for £18m? Murray still owes Christ knows what to the bank anyway so what difference would that £18m have made? I personally think Murray had got fed up with us and saw an opportunity to get rid of us. At that point the bank knowing what was likely to happen with Whyte they said you can only sell to Whyte if the debt is paid off. At which point I'm sure he could have said no. I honestly think Murray fecked us not the bank - the bank just took advantage of the situation -
A good statement though I think. A lot better than the statement he released a couple of weeks ago

Statement to RIFC Shareholders from Murray et al and Fan Groups
Crimson Dynamo replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I agree not much more they can do to bring in more money But if it really is at that stage and we the fans decide to start with boycotts etc. Could the board not just say to hell with this and sell Ibrox, Murray Park to anyone that wanted it and wind up the club? Which is kind of the same position we are in already as if King, McColl and the likes put enough money in to gain control that's what would happen anyway. -
Statement to RIFC Shareholders from Murray et al and Fan Groups

Do the current board not hold all the cards in terms in voting numbers, share percentages etc? Until the requisitioners are actually prepared to invest something to get rid of who's there now. I honestly see this situation just repeating itself over and over again while the present incumbents bleed us dry. -
I would agree with that But with the rumours upon rumours about everything. I think the board has to be seen to be accountable. Even if it's just to say to say this story is bullsh*t and we are taking legal action, In my opinion its allowing bloggers to say what they like that partly got us is in this situation in the first place for example when the previous board allowed Rangers Tax Case to say what they liked
-
Can we not simply ask if say for example this blog from Leggo is true without revealing anything, it'd be a simple yes or no and would it not then cancel out the stock market regulations bit as well because do they not need to declare this in the accounts?
-
Perhaps not the first part, but is a shareholder not entitled to stand up and ask a question at the AGM?
-
Rangers must have friends in the media - Would it not be possible to just get a well respected journalist to ask these questions of the directors or the CEO? But in the proper forum i.e. a newspaper or television interview or even a shareholder standing up at the AGM and asking. One way or another we'd get an answer if they lied and said it was all hunky dory and turned out it not to be the case surely they are committing a fraudulent act? In terms of their duty to shareholders

I don't recall if it was But should this not be mentioned in our accounts?

Is the list just from top leagues?

Did Robertson not suffer with injuries at Leeds? From what I can see by just quick browse Robertson made 24 appearances in his first season with Leeds out of 28 in total he left in 2001 and Leeds came fifth in his first season and qualified for Europe.
-
I don't think he did to be honest his goals to games ratio was virtually the same at Kilmarnock. I do think he was going to have a big season in his last with us until the injury as it was telling when he went out injured we went into free-fall
-
I agree but I think Rangers and Celtic over the years have lost the ability to take good players and make them great. For example David Robertson was a good player with Aberdeen but a great player with us same with players such as Andy Goram or Alan McLaren. But I personally think the links of Steven Naismith, Kris Boyd or Kenny Miller all came with huge potential but never really improved under us. I know part of this is down to the teams they played in but it is something I think we really need to look at and improve.
-
I agree there is no benchmark in Scotland the successes in Scotland are very random in my time watching football from Jess & Booth at Aberdeen to more recently the Hibs team that had Whittaker, Murray, Brown, Thomson and O'Connor in it. I personally think the problem isn't a lack of talent it is more a lack of taking a risk and developing the players, we've had this habit of bringing in veterans or mid to late 20's players who while they're good we usually end up paying for them and giving them a hefty wage. I really hope that we can move away from that

Could it have been an Ajax fan dressed as a Rangers supporter that threw the flair?

The problem with that list is that other than McGregor none of them really made it at Rangers - Hutton had half a good season and Burke seemed to be always on the cusp of something, McCabe, Fleck and Ness were used sparingly when we were at the top and could have been huge had they stayed for the journey back to the top but guess we'll never know.

Jim McColl backs Graham Wallace as Rangers chief exec
Crimson Dynamo replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Have the Easdales been forced on us? They've paid for their seat at the table surely? I don't want them there anymore than you do but they've paid for the privilege- 17 replies

Does it? I would've thought that the stories in the press good or bad had more effect -and while i've not looked today I think the shares might take a dip with the stories about the Serious Fraud Office
