  1. Fleck was an enigma for me so much potential but for whatever reason he didn't work out
  2. I'm at work so can't double check apologies I may be wrong but I'm sure Sevco 5088 was listed as an asset of Rangers which to me means Rangers own Sevco 5088
  3. I may be wrong but was Sevco 5088 not listed in the Rangers share prospectus?
  4. He certainly sounds like he deserves a chance of a continued run in the first team more-so considering how far we are in front of everyone else. I'd give Scott Gallacher a shot in goal as well
  5. i would've loved to have been able to look back on this time with great memories with tales of the guy we signed from Elgin that scored 50 goals on our journey back or the young goalie who got his chance in Division 3 and went on to become a Scottish International. That's what the "this is fun" mantra could really have been about. Alas though we are not going to get anything like that and that is down to a complete lack of vision at the club just now
  6. Would you agree though we have tended to underachieve against teams we should be much better against? Most of the teams I have listed, we looked clueless against and seriously out of our depth I can accept every team has an off day but when it came to Europe for Rangers in the past it happened all too often. Advocaats team was very impressive and on our day I think we could have matched anybody the only team that really had its way with us was Valencia. The UEFA cup run was great but dire to watch. I’ve said before I don’t care if we win every game I want to watch a team that gives 100% and I want to come away from Ibrox feeling I was entertained. I have no problem with Rangers losing as long as we learn from it. In the case of Advocaat he learned from his mistake against Parma and we made played them off the park the second time. Smith, McCoist and McLeish we seemed doomed to repeat the same mistakes and I was never very confident watching any of their teams in Europe against smaller opposition
  7. The reason Rangers are winning over 90% of their games is because we have a bunch of highly paid ex SPL players playing for us in League 1. I don’t think it is outlandish to expect a side paying over £6m to players to play against a bunch of part timers to be able to keep possession and look good while doing it. It is about entertainment after all and I’m sorry but I’m not entertained if we win 4-0 but we grind the game out. I’ve seen Rangers play against teams over the years that we should have run over the top of, AEK Athens, Strasbourg, Gothenberg, Unirea, Malmo, Maribor, the list is endless. All these teams seemed to get very basic things like possession, footballing awareness and fitness right. They just looked like a good team. We don’t
  8. Yes but like I say why give Irvine so much power? Why not employ a decent PR firm? Or even fill the board with all your own guys? At least with a decent PR firm releasing decent statements it would create the perception of we are in control and stability instead of the nonsense we have from all sides. It is the main reason there is so much uncertainty and no trust If there is a puppet master what do they gain from driving the share price down? Unless they want it all, but then why did they not just buy all the shares when they had the chance during the share issue?
  9. It makes no sense though for him to wield such power why not just put a director on the board. Personally had I been the likes of Mather, Ashley or Laxey who have all put considerable amounts of their own money in I'd be telling them where to go!
  10. Personally if money is due from a Jelavic sell on clause then it should go to to the creditors of the oldco
  11. I find it strange that Jack Irvine seems to have so much power. He almost seems to be dictating policy But then again as Amms questions are these emails real?
  12. Boyd was like so many that once he got the big move he stopped trying and therefore stopped developing. He is essentially the same player he was 10 years ago. I can't understand why some clamour for his return he would pass on nothing to our youngsters
  13. The winning of titles and defeating Celtic covered up for Smiths failings as a manager
  14. All the best everyone, 2013 has been majorly sh*t for a number of reasons But here's to a great 2014!!!
  15. Apparently Smith wanted to let Ferguson go and Advocaat insisted we keep him and give him a new contract
  16. Yeah but we let Mitchell and McAusland go out on loan who both could have easily played there but instead we brought in Foster. Faure could've played at Centre Back and we wouldn't have had to sign Mohsni.
  17. I would keep him too. But only if we were gonna play him in his right position which appears to be centre back. Which would mean either McCulloch or Mohsni needs to go and I don't see us letting either of them go
  18. Black Templeton (has lots of potential but feck knows what has gone wrong there) Faure
  19. Our current side would be more than capable of playing in Europe. My concern would be that with our current manager in charge we wouldn't compete. I'm basing that on our results the last time we played there under McCoist
  20. Agreed but I could've picked those players we signed
  21. I agree but he is probably the only player we did scout. The rest of our signings seem like here is a list of out of contract players who should we sign
  22. Bottom line is our financial model is unsustainable. The days of us spending £20m a summer and £30m a season in wages are gone. We need to come up with a new way of building a title winning side through improved scouting and youth development. Other than maybe Peralta this season I can't see any example of our scouting system at work and under the present management structure I see no real youth development.
  23. I'd rather we were able to stand on our two feet and not hope/need a bailout every couple of seasons.
  24. It was telling when he left Chelsea they went into freefall during Ancellottis reign. I was told a few times he was offered the job at Rangers before McCoist no idea if it was true as McCoist always seemed the chosen one
  25. I think the problem for years has been every summer we seem to need to buy half a new team. If anyone is promoted from the reserves they are used sparingly or when the manager has no alternative. It may be our current crop just aren't good enough but I don't believe that. We need to get out of the spend to win mentality
