I'm not going to champion a Celtic website not for a second but in respect of Whyte they seemed to know what was going on from the off. They knew about the director ban, the deal with ticketus etc...while our club was spinning wealth off the radar through the media and of course you're right they do get stuff spectacularly wrong as well.

Most Celtic websites seemed to know

Wallace: The 'Pied Piper', Corporate Speak and the Road to No-Where
Crimson Dynamo replied to buster.'s topic in Rangers Chat
The problem is so many of our fans fall for the same tricks. Give it a few weeks and the board will do something and a lot of fans will say that's great or if x backs it then it must be ok. In saying that King is no better wheeling out Gough -
Of course there are shades of grey mate But the truth of the matter is there is always some reason we don't do it. From Whyte to Celtic or Ally is in a terrible position as manager. Ally had a wonderful oppurtunity to become a truly great Rangers manager and learn his trade while building a Rangers team for the ages instead he chose the quick and easy path and if anything he has made things more difficult for himself
-
Nonsense, we have a team of highly paid professionals some of whom are internationals who look absolutely clueless week in week out. I watched Barcelona dominate Celtic and even though Barcelona lost I was in no doubt who was the better side. I can't say the same for Rangers these teams look our equals timr and time again and that is down to the manager, coachin staff and the players. It is scandalous we continue to make excuses for them
-
I for one want to be entertained. I want to see Rangers play attractive high paced football. I want to come away from Ibrox feeling I got my monies worth win, lose or draw. Instead of us grinding results out week in week out. I don't mind that every now and again sometimes you have to win ugly but with us it's almost every week
-
That was our problem in the top league as well mate. Just throw money at it more often than not money we didn't have
-
It's all just spend, spend, spend with us we learn nothing from our boardroom shenanigans or our woes on the park the solution is always just spend some more money..........

I would love to know what he said to the players yesterday after that result

Threads is great if bleak as is the day after.......anyway completely off topic

SOS - George Angus has been escorted from the building today?
Crimson Dynamo replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I agree about Olverman but I think a number of our directors from that period were grossly negligent and should never be allowed anywhere near us again while they made noises Olverman included I'm not sure any of them actually did anything until it was too late -
SOS - George Angus has been escorted from the building today?

Did Ken Olverman not question what Craig Whyte was doing? I seem to recall it came up during the disrepute hearing. I believe he was told by his regulatory body to leave it be and leave it to Whyte -
Nothing was ever going to happen before the 120 days was up. You'd like to think that plan b is or was good to go if things don't according to plan after the 120 days but I have my doubts it is going to come down to who'll blink first come season ticket time

what experience does Cribari have? his career doesn't make for impressive reading on Wikipedia
-
is the reason we can't get proper loans not because of Whyte? ie if we went anywhere for a loan they would want a lot of security for very little in return
-
the sad thing about our journey back is that bar maybe 10 games most of our opponents have looked our equal more often than not

I always thought Sebo would come good congratulations to Vladimir and his partner

http://www.bdlive.co.za/articles/2008/11/11/king-s-tax-assessment-valid---sars states in this article from 2012 the following - " King's tax assessment is made up, among other things, of a R4,8m tax bill on his Sandhurst house, R101,44m on a Falcon 900, R188,47m on a Talacar shareholders loan account, R2,1m on a Ferrari, R17,24m for living expenses and - his largest single tax claim - R200m income from Rangers Football Club, as well as R281,28m in penalties and R20m in taxes on income from the Amazulu Football Club, which King insists he bought for R1 in return for paying outstanding salaries and financial obligations for the club" 200m Rand at the time this was written would equate to around £15m perhaps more, I think that's a question he needs to answer. A lot of people that champion Dave King say he put £20m into the Oldco it doesn't sound so great if he took 75% of it back out
-
Bottom line he has to engage with the board if there is to be any sort of resolution to this
-
Excuse my ignorance but why offer the loan to the NOMAD? why would they care? Are they not just there in theory to ensure our obligations are met to the Stock Exchange? Should the offer not have been made to the board?

Alex Thomson: Rangers into administration on Wednesday-Question....
Crimson Dynamo replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I feel sick to my stomach every time i read one of his "pieces" he can't just report on the facts he always has to have a pop at Rangers or Rangers supporters his hatred for all things Rangers just oozes out of everything he writes....... -
McCoist: Gers need ticket cash to move forward
Crimson Dynamo replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I personally hope McCoist is gone before the start of next season and that we have a proper football manager in place next year to take us forward -
I'm not happy about the loan but boardroom decisions and all that and if it really is to pay off Ahmad then good the sooner we get clowns like that away from us the better. Dave King's answer to the financial situation is just to throw yet more money at us and that isn't the answer just because he says he loves Rangers and he's a Rangers man doesn't make him right. We need proper business people in charge of the company at Rangers and proper football people in charge of the team. I don't know if we have that with the company at the moment but I'm willing to give them the 120 days to see what they come up with
-
I agree but then do Laxey and the Easdales not control all of the debt? (that we know of) They could end up getting Ibrox and Murray Park for peanuts, then lease then to whoever operates the football club. Free money forever They essentially already have Albion and Edmiston House, simply by not demanding repayment of their loans.
-
He's right when he says things are a mess but he also must know that with-holding season ticket money essentially means administration.
