  1. Let's hope not. He was a disgrace as Rangers captain.
  2. In my lifetime of supporting Rangers we've only had 2 managers, That I feel could have taken us to "a next level" by that I mean regularly challenging in Europe. That was Advocaat and Souness (who was my first manager).
  3. Completely off topic for which I apologise. I'm going away on Saturday to experience my first game in a foreign land Inter vs Atalanta always had a soft spot for Inter. Plus I get to continue my quest to get my picture taken with every team that has won the European Cup. So far I've done Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd. When I'm back from Italy I'll have done both Milans and Juventus. I know off topic but in the Euro Cup thread
  4. Well we all knew PSG would lie down....
  5. The antics of the so called Rangers men around our clubs affairs and how they conduct themselves gets more embarrassing by the day.
  6. Don't know much about Mitchell, other than he followed Pochettino from Southampton.
  7. If we've offered them the role and they've knocked it back.It should be regarded as a failure.
  8. Joanne Whalley Kilmer was stunning in that movie.
  9. I always thought Alec Cleland was a stop gap but he came in and made the spot his own. Fraser Wishart came in against Celtic and had a fantastic game though that was kinda it for his Rangers career.
  10. I started following Rangers when I was 6 in 1985 so I'm only going to restrict it to players I saw. 1. goram 2. Stevens 3. Numan 4. Butcher © 5. Gough 6. McCall 7. Gascoigne 8. Steven 9. Hateley 10. Laudrup 11. Cooper Playing in a 4-1-2-3
  11. Yes but were the board actively looking to punt Warburton or were board members? We know Warburton wanted to leave but why? Did he feel undermined not wanted or did he just want out? The Mcleish stories who was pushing for that? As soon as MW was gone he was hotly tipped. Almost rightaway. Had discussions already taken place? In fact if rumours are to be believed Mcleish and Rae til the end of the season was a done deal. Then all of a sudden, Murty is the man. So while I don't doubt the basic statement our board made is true the goings on and the events surrounding it would tell a much broader story than what we've been told.
  12. It will be true from a certain point of view but without context or detail about what was occurring in the background. Then I fear we are merely scratching the surface about what went on. I can't believe I just quoted Obi-Wan Kenobi to make a point lol.
  13. Quite often any DOF would have a say in whomever was appointed Head Coach.
  14. I agree to a degree. But I would argue the statement that Rangers made on Saturday was unnecessary if they're wanting to be like that. If anything it was that statement that has made me suspicious of how Rangers have conducted themselves. The statement on Friday would have been sufficient.
  15. But if you're right you're right. Draw a line under the whole thing.
  16. Even if Rangers don't have to respond to the LMA why not respond with the evidence they have, explain their legal position and draw a line under that particular point
  17. Ultimately it's a bit sad that the Rangers board couldn't sort something out, where it would have worked out in everyones best interest. Let's hope we learn from this debacle at the very least I fear we are doomed to repeat this sort of thing over and over again.
  18. If thats what happens I find that quite sad. McLeish hasn't had a proper managers job in about 4 years. He's had a few months here and there but nothing to make him a main contender for the Rangers job.
  19. Are you hungry and eager to prove yourself though? :-)
  20. I would take a DoF and a young up and coming coach that is hungry and eager to prove himself someone like Cathro at Hearts who we wouldn't get now I don't think. But must be someone else out there that fits the bill.
  21. That statement doesn't add up for so many different reasons. It is shameful how much of a laughing stock Rangers have become.
  22. God help us if that happens....
  23. And yet the same Brentford fans were singing Warburtons praises and telling us how lucky we were to get him when he joined Rangers. Sadly I fear this is a campaign by our own fans to get rid of Warburton and his team. I find it so disheartening that we have supposed Rangers men in charge now at Rangers and yet we still resort to these dirty tricks. Let's face it Warburton must have been given targets at the start of the season judge him on them. If he hasn't met them then sack him simples.
  24. Greece was alright with him.
  25. If the Hull thing is true it's possible his old man is involved. I'm sure I read somewhere he is back at Hull. Perhaps he's unsettled and looking for a way to leave.
