  1. Breathless stuff but real character to come back like we have. We would have folded at 2-1 down last season. Really happy for Kyle.
  2. While I would be over the moon with a win, I would take a draw on the heels of the trip to Ufa. A draw maintains our momentum and will make them continue to question their defence and what Brenda's plan is. Given where we are and the run of fixtures if someone had offered me qualification for the EL group stages and a draw at the Piggery I would have bitten their hand off a month ago. I'll stick with that. However a win would pop their balloon big time and full on panic would be there for all to see.
  3. Exactly. He could have chosen to focus on the football, the number of clean sheets, the new players being welded into something looking like a team in a really short space of time, or the general sense of optimism around Rangers in contrast to the other lot across the city. But no. He chose to highlight an addiction that Kyle had in the past and we all hope he will be able to put behind him. No context, no appreciation that it goes beyond Rangers and is a cancer not just across football but the whole of modern society. Just highlight one player (a Rangers fan) and his problems. Keep your blinkers on Tom and service that PQ agenda for all your worth.
  4. Another clean sheet. This is a good habit to be in. The defence will need to be on it 100% next week though. An away goal should hopefully see us through.
  5. Still nervous. One or two more and a clean sheet by the end would do it for me.
  6. Agreed. It's fucking terrible but hardly surprising. Post match entrails examinations from English, Scott McDonald and now Thompson (for fuck sake!) and just one report from Rangers. Hello chaps, there is a match on and it's over a quarter done. Do the fucking jobs that licence fee payers expect you to do and update the live game. If not for us Rangers supporters, who you despise - think of the poor Tims who can't wait for their latest hit of Rangers news.
  7. Good see this being called out and clowns like this being held to account and made to apologise by their clubs. Last season nothing was said and nothing was done and it was open season on us time and time again. This makes a welcome change and shows we won't be intimidated or bullied any more. However the best place to put these idiots in their place is on the pitch, with a win. That's what we really need.
  8. Dd Dermot's PR people ghost write that pile of drivel or is he actually pretending that he believes it? It's extreme arse kissing and not even pretending to be journalism. No wonder the Herald is doomed. Spiers and this clown are clearly just holding on for a few more pay cheques before the ship hits the rocks.
  9. Tom hears no evil. Tom sees no evil. Tom talks a load of shite. It's pretty clear.
  10. I think it's obvious whose team is a class outfit right now and whose isn't.
  11. Doc

    Ibrox at night

A dramatically and beautifully lit shrine to football. No need for disco lights here.
  12. Almost worth the licence fee if that does happen.
  13. We should be good enough to beat UFA on the pitch. We don't need the Get Out of Jail card that was played by the scum across the city against Legia Warsaw a few years back.
  14. Indeed. Who wouldn't resent Septic for their ineptitude, inability to score against 10 men for over a third of the game at the Piggery, and shocking defending in Athens condemning PQ to Tuesday and Wednesday nights that resemble nothing more than rolling tumbleweed. The Champions league bypasses Scotland again and there will be no Septic to "enhance" that competition with their own particular brand of entertainment - on and off the pitch - and fill endless hours of airtime and pay fat presenters salaries at licence payers expense. Or Hubz who, like Septic, utterly failed to make a man advantage count at Easter Road and were dumped out by a competent if unspectacular Molde side on Thursday night. Who wouldn't resent Hubz their lack of cutting edge, leaving Rangers as the only successful (and unbeaten) Scottish team in Europe and the unwelcome mixer to dilute what would otherwise be a cocktail of Septic worship moved to Thursday instead? Any sane individual might view the fact that Septic and Hubz were the architects of their own downfall and, for the sake of Scottish football, resent the fact that they weren't better prepared to garner the nation more precious coefficient points and criticize their management teams accordingly. But PQ is not a sane place. It's far easier to resent that fact that the elephant is still in the room and they still have to talk about Gerrard and Rangers on a Thursday. Long may that continue....
  15. That was a class press conference from both Gerrard and McAllister. Humility, respect and focus all on show. Mr Struth would have been pleased with that. Let's just get a result on Sunday.
  16. This is a fishing exercise by the usual Celtic-friendly media to try and boost this guy's value. Does anyone really think that he's worth £13 million and that Rodgers has improved him by a factor of three since he's been at the Piggery? The hole in the finances is hopefully a lot bigger than anyone thinks.
  17. Well they had to fill the air with something after the Hibees went crashing out. Rangers are the only show in town and they couldn't even stop the bile for a night and be graceful and positive about what is a great result for us against the well publicized "tormentor of Scottish clubs". God help them if Celtic can't get past those Lithuanians. It will be unbearable ?
  18. Wow. There have been some pretty good Rangers teams over the years who never achieved that feat. Shows what can be done when you have a manager who can get the best out of his players, and players who believe in him. My expectations are getting higher and higher. Don't want to get carried away with where this could go but it's just great to feel this good about Rangers again after so much misery.
  19. Another away clean sheet. Unlike every other Scottish team. Fantastic.
  20. This is absolutely correct. When Fergie banned Alan Green the BBC in England saw the wider need to continue coverage of what was the most well supported club in the country. They rationalised that they would be cutting off their nose to spite their face if they adopted some high horse attitude and let Alan Green's spat get in the way of the interests of their audience. They just sent another journalist, the world moved on, the listeners got the Man United coverage they wanted and both Fergie and Green could claim some kind of moral victory. Sadly BBC Scotland are not as smart - but they are lot more vindictive. Rangers took away an individual's credentials not the whole organisation. Just as Man United did. BBC Scotland have chosen to take some faux moral high ground over this and claim "journalistic freedom" is being violated. It's not. If the BBC want a story, just send a real journalist not someone from the fake news department.
  21. You're very generous Compo ?
  22. The Guardian of all places actually linking Celtic and child abuse in print? And without a connived and sly dig at Rangers in the process. Wonders will never cease.
  23. Especially all the ex-Celtic pundits and their journo pals who couldn't wait to stick their oar in and say that Gerrard wouldn't last 6 months. A huge serving off egg is hopefully en route to their faces come Christmas when he's still here and we're on top of the league.
  24. That's an interesting perspective and it might very well be true. Success at Rangers might lead to a top PL job a step quicker but the risks that come from failure are also higher too. The great thing about Gerrard is that he seems to understand this and even thrive on it. It doesn't faze him in the way that it would so many others. That's what makes me excited.
  25. To be fair you can hardly blame Gerrard for that. The fact that we got thrown to the wolves in 2012 has a lot more to do with it. I'd love it to be this season where we win the league again but if it's next year I'll take it just as long as we stop those smug fuckers from across the city.
