West Brom linked with £7 million Commons swoop
Doc replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
After last night's fiasco against Legia, methinks Septic's bargaining power over a Commons move has dropped to nearly zero. -
Almost over for Septic. Empty stands behind the talking head from Sky and reports of fans abusing Liewell and his fellow board members. Surely not, from the "GFITW". Here's hoping they crash out of the Europa League as well.
-
Sky reporting that Celtic fans are leaving in their droves from Murrayfield. Surely one of their worst results in Europe in a long time. Hilarious. Before anyone starts whining about coefficients, this is a real reflection of where Scottish football is at the moment. Chickens have come home to roost but still we have Regan and Doncaster claiming that everything in the garden is rosy.
-
Come on Legia. Showing Septic up for the mugs they are. 2-0 Legia. You beauty!!!

Another one of the "Greatest Fans in the World" showing their true colours. Hope they nail the scumbag. -
State Aid and Football clubs under the spotlight....

Let's hope so. I'm not holding my breath though. Too many politicians in Scotland are in cahoots with CFC and don't want to know.- 89 replies

Paul Lambert ready to offer Alan Hutton lifeline
Doc replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
I'll rephrase that. Never good enough to win anything in the last 20 years. Should have gone down many times but hung on for grim death season after season unlike Man City, Newcastle, Sunderland, etc who all went down, regrouped and came back stronger. They did OK when MON had a bucket of money to spend and they came in the top 6. Once the money dried up, Villa went back to business as usual. They are the ultimate zombie c,lub. -

Which isn't much to start with. Shambles of a club. Never good enough win anything and never have the decency to just get relegated. -
In a storm you might expect a bit of help from your fellow man. There was precious little sign of that. The league and the SFA were making the concrete boots even bigger if anything.

Shocking but hardly surprising stuff from Spiers. He happily picks a few quotes from Paul Murray that were given at a time of trauma when nobody (expect perhaps Craig Whyte) knew what was going on and was in full possession of the facts and ignores everything else that has gone on before and since. It's hard to read this trash without being sick. The only one rewriting the facts to suit themselves now is you Graham. You got it catastrophically wrong here. Is "sorry" such a hard word to say Graham? I wouldn't wipe my arse with The Herald while they continue to employ such an ignorant and utterly unrepentant dickhead.
-
I hope you're wrong mate. But something about this doesn't make sense so you may be right.
-
You couldn't make that up. Could you.......? That would be the biggest kick in the teeth ever. If anything has laid bare the shambles that is the SPFL, its leadership, and the value of its "product" (outwith the Old Firm) to the broadcast media - this is it. I can't believe that this is being spun as somehow Rangers' fault. The wolves that did their best to tear us apart as they voted us out of the SPL shoulder much of the blame. Liewell and Doncaster and their shambles of a deal carry the rest. If it wasn't so tragic it would be hilarious.
-
Absolutely. We've got the most lucrative TV deal in the world. It's just that nobody is allowed to see it.
-
Hibs to go down for me. Acccies are definitely the lesser of two evils here.
-
What goes around comes around Chris. You repeatedly scammed referees on the field and now you've been scammed yourself. Tough luck.

Please please please..... Hibs to go down and us pass them on the way back up. Love to see the look on Petrie's face if that came to pass.

Looks like you're going to be disappointed Ser B. Chelsea are out of the race for sure. Always next year eh?
-
Hope you're right Gribz. Got to admit, I had a huge smile on my face when Palace's 3rd goal went in.

Just got back from holiday. Blissfully unaware of Sandy's death and funeral until I read these fine words. Thank you Andy. I was privileged enough to watch Sandy as a player when my dad first took me to Ibrox in the 1970's. A great player and a true Ranger.

Alex Salmond - I need to do all I can for Hearts
Doc replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Andy has answered this as well. Forgive my skepticism PapaBear but I can imagine the content of that call on the 11th of January, which if was in 2012, was BEFORE we went into Admin so Alec was hardly getting stuck in when it mattered. AS: "Hullo... HMRC? I'm just checking to make sure that everything is above board in your pursuit of those tax-evading, unionist toerags." HMRC: "Of course. We've got it all covered. They're bang to rights and owe the taxpayer upwards of a billion quid." AS: "Oh well that's good to know. Keep up the good work and just lay off looking at Hearts for a bit eh?" Click. Anything much from Alec after the 16th of Feb up to the summer of 2012, when the shit was really hitting the fan? Or was he as quiet as my memory serves? Compare and contrast with the light touch that has been applied to Hearts and their dealings with HMRC.- 14 replies

Alex Salmond - I need to do all I can for Hearts
Doc replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
“And of course I would always do that as First Minister, because it’s part of the First Ministerial role to help Scottish football, to help Scottish clubs when you can. And I’m sure that everyone in Scottish football, whatever team they support, wants to see Hearts back fighting fit, and part of the firmament of our national game.” Noble sentiments Alec but where were you and your sentiments in 2012 when another club was fighting for its life? Were you having meetings with key investors or creditors and using the status of the first minister's office to help? No you were nowhere to be fucking seen. I hope Hearts come out of this OK but the level of hypocrisy and the lack of even handedness on show here STINKS.- 14 replies

Totally fed up with it. Our club is a toy being torn to pieces by crooks on the one hand and (if you'll pardon the phrase)" a "king a across the water" who talks the talk but won't walk the walk. This, coupled with the dismal football on display, is purgatory.
