    Ricksen?

He's pretty much admitted to what was thought to have happened in that story Gav. He's had his troubles on the booze in the past and he kicked it, to which im sure he got everyone's full backing and support. But Rangers are a big club, with a new manager that you have to impress. FR cannot go about drinking and/or fall out with staff on a plane during this important time for the team.
  2. I still havent bought it yet. I wish there was an option to pay for the season of just Rangers games that are going to be on. £180 is pretty f-ing vertical!
  3. TBH there weren't alot of candidates for it, i still think Cannivaro should have won it, possibly Lehmann. ZZ did perform well in most games, regardless of what he did last night.
  4. That shouldnt make a difference to the outcome. Im glad they waited until after the final so the players from the clubs in question could concentrate on the WC but if the clubs are guilty then they should go down. Word going around yesterday was Juve were almost a cert to go down at least one division, read that a few different places.

No apology, saying he cant work with a manger who treats him like this. What about the way he has treated the club and his team mates at such an important time when the team with new players in the ranks need to bond and get to know eachother. He drinks on the plane, dont know if he was the only player to do this or not but demons from his past should have made him realise it was a bad idea from the word go. No sympathy for you Fernando, not after these comments.

    From sporting-life.
  7. We're not really at the top level Gribz though.... are we? lol I remember him when he played for Parma, if its the same guy, and he was great. Aint heard much on him since then though. Cant see us shelling out £4m on any one player at the moment either.
  8. I wasnt really saying it for ALL the players who are retiring.... just the one's who have become 'Legends'.... for want of a better word, in their team/country for their contributions in the WC's they've played. So thats why i didnt mention Reyna although i knew it would be his last. I think Owen and Ronaldo probably will be at the next one though....
  9. I was thinking the same thing when i heard the commentator mention that last night. He's been nowhere near as good in this comp as he normally is at club level. Interesting to hear MON pick Gattuso as his player of the tournament, did he forget he used to play for Rangers? Cannivaro probably gets my vote.
  10. :admin: :admin: :admin: Im an idiot x 100 lol. How the bloody hell did i forget!! He'd probably still be fitter/faster than most other RB's to play at the next one!
  11. ZZ, Thuram, Makalele, Rob Carlos, Ayala, Cannivaro.... just a some names (I know of) who have played their last World Cups. There's probably more in the France and Italy team who are retiring for International football. It wasnt the greatest World Cup id ever seen but you could sure see the players who lead by example and taught the others in their team a thing or two (bar ZZ late on tonight). Really happy for Cannivaro too, won the cup as captain and his 100th cap.
  12. Did people get bored this weekend and just start random threads about players out of our league? Seriously, we wouldnt get him or anyone else in the Juve team unless something happened to all the big teams around Europe.
  13. I dont know if he said anything to him or not, but ZZ should have the experience on his shoulders to know how to handle himself, especially since it was the final AND his last ever game. I was favouring Italy over France but i still wanted ZZ to go out on a high performance wise, a real shame.
  14. If only i had Materatzi (sp?) in my team. Oh well, ill take 2nd place.
  15. Was the reason the decision it was postponed because Italy got to the final? Its going to be weird seeing Juve, and possibly a few others, out of the Serie A. Looks like Chelski/Real/Barca are you to be busy on Tuesday.

Hmm, interesting...... i can just see Spiers and the like having a feild day with this one, whatever it was he did.
  17. You're joking right? Im no fan of Man Utd or him, but he is a special player. Can see where you're coming from from a WC point of view because he didnt really do much, but any team would be an improvement with Rooney in it on his game.

    Tevez

Im in the no way brigade aswell, they would never let him go for £5m, he was worth more than that before the WC so who knows what his value will be now. Would be nice though, he's a great player.
  19. He'd still be wanting something around the 40k a week mark and although i think he's a good player it could come back to bite us in the ass.
  20. The problem wasnt that he chose them over us Colshy, the problem was we tried to haggle down the asking price to £2.5m or there abouts where-as they met the £3.5m original asking price.
  21. Aye, someone mentioned it's probably Romania next in line but was just making sure.
  22. ... ive heard there might be getting extra CL/Uefa cup slots being opened up and other countries would get their places and start in round 1. Would Scotland (ie Rangers) get an extra spot in it? I doubt it cause there's only 12 teams in the league but not sure either way. Whats the co-efficent (sp?) looking like these days?
  23. Jon takes up about 49%.... the rest of us is 1%, lol.
  24. Laudbertz

    Clement

Nah, he'll be playing further up the feild and keeping Buffel out of the team this season.
  25. Agreed, one thing i absolutely loved about Numan was his willingness to go forward and link up with Albertz/Gio. Ill be interested to see Letizi too, i know he didnt have much to do but im hoping he communicates well with the defense, something the mullet seldom did.
