Rino, Winning The World Cup and The Scottish Media
Laudbertz replied to CammyF's topic in General Football Chat
Yeah, he's married to a Scottish girl he met whilst at Rangers.... funnily enough! lol. -
Burkey did all the ground work for that Porto goal, no taking anything away from McCormack, he kept his head and scored it.... but Burke chased after a ball that ALOT of players (too fookin many) we have would have given up on.

I dont think we can really compare Rino's career in Scotland compared to Larsson's, he was one of the best players, whether I/we like it or not, to play in this country. Plus Rino was only with us for 18 months and his career only really took off when he made it to Milan. But i know what you mean, the Rangers fans loved him and I still hoping he comes back one day. TBH im done with the scottish mhedia, its not just us being paranoid, its plain for all to see what the majority of them think of Rangers FC. Rino Gattuso, 1 WC medal, 1 CL medal (2 finals). On yersel wee man. -
All the best to the lad, he impressed me in flashes, cracking free kicks, got a bit of pace to him. I think he'll do well at Well.
-
I never knew any of that about Roberts, where the hell was I when all this was going on? I fans that didnt know this (like me) dont go just to watch our reserve's get a run out for another clubs financial gain.

Lol, was thinking the same thing when i saw that one.... the look on their face is 'Eh?... is that a camera?, oh sh*t, let go of my hand!!' :admin:
-
Jeez, you think the photographer has a thing for Clement?.... he's in pretty much every pic there! lol
-
I seem to remember WS saying sometime over the past few years he was 'keeping Barry in cotton wool' cause he knew he was going to be big..... different story if he was planning on leaving the club, lol.
-
Thats probably why Danny said 'Technically'.
-
Totally agree with that Craig. No player is bigger than the club, even the ones we absolutely adore, like Gazza, if they're dragging the clubs name through the mud then they should be shown the exit door quick-smart. Although im sure in hindsight, id have hated to see Gazza leave.
-
Not sure mate, probably a bit of both, its been a while since ive seen the program so its pretty vague. .....surely i wasnt the only one to see it!! lol
-
I know that Cammy, thats why i said my heart is ruling my head on this one. I dont think Ricksen would be any big loss to the team but Gazza, i think, would have been. Different managers, as we have seen, work in different ways. The PLG's (and DA's) of the world demand respect from their players and for the good of the club.... as it should be. But when you have a player like Gazza in your arms its hard to let a talent like that go.
-
Thats the shot of the moment Beattie, you gotta click on the 'Todays Pics' part.
-
Thats a good point Cammy. Although i do agree with you in that repect, i think half of my heart is ruling on this as Ricksen only played to the best of his abilities for one season.... when he needed a new contract. Gazza was a great talent and a great coup/servant for the club and the fans loved him pretty much the whole time he was at Ibrox. His off-field antics were a whole lot worse than Ricksen's (that we know of) though, and wouldnt have survived under DA or PLG.
-
I have?.... you're version is pretty extreme, mines condensed. lol.
-
The commentators said it already, but it really does get worse everytime you see it.
-
Yeah he was a good signing. Plus with the added fact we whipped the carpet from underneath tic's feet.... well that just makes it better, lol. Extremely controversial signing at the time though, I seem to remember seeing a program with a minority of Rangers fans getting rid of their season tickets that year too because of it.

Kicking the shit out of himself some where back here.

Or get rich and buy a tv with picture in picture, lol.

I thought the same thing about that corner Colsh, ive only seen it twice but it does look to swing out and back in. -
You watched ALL 90 mins of 55 games? I could never have done that no matter how much i like footie... unless i was getting paid to do so.
-
Think i still saw more than you mate.... im gonna say... 37 and a half.
-
I saw the majority of the games id say (mostly because we had a tv at work ) but alot of them i got bored and couldnt be arsed sitting through it all.
