  1. Neil Alexander (Cardiff City) Craig Gordon (Hearts) Graeme Smith (Motherwell) Graham Alexander (Preston North End) Russell Anderson (Aberdeen) Gary Caldwell (Celtic) Steven Caldwell (Sunderland) Christian Dailly (West Ham United) Jackie McNamara (Wolves) Graeme Murty (Reading) Gary Naysmith (Everton) Robbie Neilson (Hearts) Steven Pressley (Hearts) Andy Webster (Hearts) David Weir (Everton) Barry Ferguson (Rangers) Darren Fletcher (Manchester United) Paul Hartley (Hearts) Neil McCann (Hearts) Lee McCulloch (Wigan Athletic) Ian Murray (Rangers) Nigel Quashie (West Bromwich Albion) Scott Severin (Aberdeen) Gary Teale (Wigan Athletic) Chris Burke (Rangers) Kris Boyd (Rangers) Shaun Maloney (Celtic) James McFadden (Everton) Kenny Miller (Celtic) Garry O'Connor (Lokomotiv Moscow) The squad is seemingly just for a preperations session for Euro 2008 qualifiers, but still i expected to see Steve Smith in there, considering who's made it into the squad ahead of him!
  2. I wouldnt, obviously i havent seen alot of Letizi to judge him quite yet. Wattereus' shot stopping, 1 on 1's and distribution were all good. But he never communicated with his defense enough for my liking and that was a big factor in the goals we lost last season.
  3. For goalscoring id rather have Crespo in my team than Drogba, but for work ethic id have it the other way around since Drogba seems to do more during the game. But now that they have Shev then he'll be the main goal threat so letting Crespo go wont be so bad.
  4. Why dont you just sign up to the site Cammy? Its just your email address..... or do they know to keep information away from you already? And if i remember rightly ive never actually received any crappy 'junk' emails from the site.
  5. Sam's Prso Regret That should work.
  6. Is the thread that says Dundee 0 Rangers 1 not a big enough clue? Boyd scored (again).
  7. Its a great dilemma for PLG to have next to the fans dilemma last season of trying to understand Eck's way of thinking. Whether he starts or not, Boyd will make an appearance at some point. PLG obviously likes him considering he got an extra year on his contract and was made captain (i was told) once or twice in Africa. Its very unfair on Adam, but at the moment im thinking it will be Prso on the left to make room for Boyd and Adam on the bench. The good thing is, if the system isnt working and changes have to be made whatever the first 11 is, he has a pretty decent bench to choose from now.
  8. English version not yet available... and i dont speak Slovakian or Dutch. ....where's Pete when you need him, lol. Anyone know what it says, if it says anything at all about Rangers?
  9. Not before time indeed and thankfully they have done what the fans have been crying out for. It shows how hard the club are now working to sort out this issue and hopefully UEFA will realise this and give us time to get the fans singing it to change their tune (pun intended! ) or get them out of Ibrox, but, although its a possibility, we would hope it doesnt come to that.
  10. If its a case that Sebo plays in Buffel's position then i dont see much of a future for Namouchi. I thought Sebo was more of a striker than attacking midfielder.
  11. Im sure i will hear it on the TV once again this weekend and for a few more weeks/months yet. But i believe it will, and HAS to, eventually be snuffed out when the fans who still insist on singing these songs wise-up (or get thrown out) and realise what it could do to our club.
  12. Seven goals in two games, albeit the reserves, says it all. I agree with the other thread about the starting 11, if it aint broke done fix it.... but how can you not put this guy in the team?
  13. I dont think Namouchi will be going anywhere this season. Can be back up for Buffel (instead of on the left or right of midfield like Eck thinks he could play). The other 3 have been told to find new clubs.
  14. Exactly, if you're going to throw a player like Rae, although experienced in the game and does have a good engine as Fraser says, into a new position.... you may as well throw an untested young RB in there, cause they'll do about the same job. Id like to see Rae this season, but in the centre or left of midfield, not in a position he doesnt know.
  15. Yeah, our goal keeping coach for the youngsters must be shit-hot eh? lol. Would be good if we started producing players who can cut it in the SPL and eventually Europe.... but keep them at the club!
  16. Yeah he is, and IMO both Brown and Smith would be better choice's than Macgregor. I think we made a mistake in letting Smith go, although i understand the boy's position in this, he doesnt want to make the same mistake as Macgregor, ie. hanging around in the reserves.
  17. Do you know which teams Frankie? IMO rb is not an option for him, he just doesnt cut it back there. We have Ferguson, Clement, Rae and possibly Hemdani ahead of him for midfield positions. Add that to the £20k a week and i say if we get a bid, no matter how little, take it to get him off the wage bill.
  18. Why would they try and form their own league? If they have bought the best players in the world then they arent going to want to move to a new league, they're going to want to win their own league surely.... Capping transfer fee's could be good for the little clubs as well as the big ones IMO. If say one of the mid to bottom teams in the EPL table has a few gems coming through (like West Ham did with Rio, Lamps, Cole etc), then said club could slap £20m transfer fee's on all of them. If the Man Utd's and Real Madrid's of the world come in and buy these players all at the same price i think most clubs would be happy with that. That way, the club purchasing the player arent paying over the odds every time and the lesser clubs have a bit of money to spend to get up the league table. Thats the way i see it at least....
  19. After hearing, the banned song, at the weekend, a few second later it was followed up by 'PLG's Blue Army'. It was good to hear that being belted out. It would be good if we could drown out the one we're not supposed to sing until these people stop and realise there are other song which can be just as meaningful and important to the team and club.

    Letizi

I had never seen Letizi play, so the stories i was hearing about him werent filling me with confidence. But i liked what he did on Sunday, he came out to claim the ball when it was needed and was alert when called upon, which was rarely. His initial save was great for their goal except he hit it right into O'donnell's path instead of pushing it to the side. He'll probably be pretty confident after that performance and hopefully he can continue to get better and work with his defence, something 'the Mullet' never did.
  21. I have never ever ever seen G Rae play on the right side of any part of the midfield, so your logic behind that one baffles me Fraser. I really dont understand all the Hutton bashing thats going on. Maybe there's something in his game im not picking up on but i think he is a decent enough young player. Give him a run in the team and see how he copes with that. I know he's had runs in the team in the past but it was always cut too short for my liking. Id like to see PLG give him a chance, if he doesnt cut the mustard after that.... so be it.
  22. Its pretty funny that Rio cost more than Rooney, i mean he's a good defender, but £29m?, no way.
  23. The transfer market in football became an absolute farce long before Chelski had all their money to spend. Probably around the time Shearer signed for newcastle (£15m?) was when it started getting out of hand. There should be a cap on transfer fee's and on player wages. £20m for the best players in the world is more than enough and i think it would do the game a world of good.
  24. Never get tired of seeing that one of Bernard, not cause he almost got knocked out though.... cause of the way he nearly managed to stay up, but then just keeled over.
  25. PLG would have to perform a miracle for Ricksen to look composed at RB, he's an absolute nightmare back there. If he can get the form back in midfield when he was playing for a new contract then ill be happy. Im glad he's sorted himself out and is wanting to play and stay at the club, but he has alot to prove all over again.
