Just read that is was permanent deals.... unbelievable that, cracking coup for the hammers.

I dont think we saved money on this at all. PLG was trying to get rid of them to another club to get them off the wage bill, but since the transfer window is almost up and they wont be seeing any first team football.... they probably got the full amount of the rest of their contracts paid out to them. Good luck to them all anyway..... mainly towards Marv and Boab, Olly was a complete waste of money IMO but thats not Eck's fault. He wasnt the one agreeing to pay him £17k-odd a week!
-
Of course they dont..... but we're speaking from a fans' point of view, not a manager's.

I think what he meant is he is only concerned with Rangers matters at the moment and we should be focussing on our own team more than looking at what they're up to. I tend to agree with that but cant help notice seemingly 3 top class signings in the past few months/weeks with Jarosik, J VoH and Graveson coming into the equation.

I saw that on the SS website yesterday but it was only a wee mention in amoungst Graveson going to tic, so i dunno if there's much truth in it.
-
Got a name? or position that he plays?...
-
Papac deal is seemingly close to being done (source, the rhecord). £400k for him.
-
This would be amazing if its true, they're both great players. Im surprised Tevez wasnt snapped up over the summer actually.
-
He's already gone to 'boro on loan for the season. Would be a risk anyway given his injury history.
-
Graveson is a class player. 30 isnt old.... especially for SPL standards. Slightly worried at this signing, but, today they most definately lost their best player.... Petrov.

I would hardly say he was just judged on goals, he does alot of work in midfield and often creates the goals rather than scores them. He does work he shouldnt really need to be doing as our midfield should be doing it, thats not necessarily a bad thing as it shows he's willing to put in the extra effort. Dont get me wrong we are creating alot of chances that should be getting put away 9 times out of 10. I think when Barry is back in the team we will see an improvement in the team. Hemdani has been pretty good but half of the game he is nowhere to be seen. Barry and Clement i think will be a fantastic partnership, you can already see that the signing of Clement has been a great capture. Also.... Miller?... wrong team, i hope Dado doesnt create chances for him!!

IMO he's the most important player in the team at the moment. He will eventually have to be rested given the situation with his knee, but doing it this soon is crazy. He works tirelessly for the team and is not afraid to (try at least) take the game by the scruff of the neck. He's a great example for the younger players in the team and its no wonder why he's deputy captain. Maybe after 55-60mins he should be replaced to give Sebo or whoever's on the bench more of a chance to get into the game as i feel PLG has been making changes a little too late in games. But dropping Prso now would only damage the team i feel.

That he is. The thing is, he KNOWS he's a great manager.... the problem is he lets everyone else know it too and that makes him a few enemies along the way.
-
Aye ABOUT her.... not TO her.
-
Good to see its being recognized by the highest authorities in the game. Its still early days, but alot has been accomplished in such a short time.

Was waiting for the punchline from the minute i read the topic. Pretty good.

Fan-fan is on £17k a week?!!? Get the feeling the men upstairs (Bain?) are a bit of a pushover when it comes to contract negotiations. I remember Diawara from a few years back, he's a pretty good player.... £4m is a bit steep though and Rangers wont pay that much. We certainly need at least one more defender before the transfer window closes.

I really dont think it was a good move making Southgate the manager. Boro are going to struggle all season and ill be surprised if they stay up.
-
Exactly. I myself dont get homesick too often when i am away but i know some people who wouldnt even think about leaving here. If O'Connor is homesick then that shows he's not just in it for the money if he's wanting out of there. I think it would be good if he sticked at it a bit longer though. From what i hear he's been doing quite well and like wicker says, that can only be good for the national team.

Smith, IMO, is usually good at crossing the ball. Yesterday was not his day though, nothing was going right for him.

I doubt very much if its true.... and i hope its not because we really cant afford to lose him.
-
Thank feck for that. I really want to see alot more of Burkey this season. If he can stay injury free for long enough then there'll be no shifting him from the starts XI.
-
All the best Hamed. I was hoping he would stay for the season to see what he could do... but PLG knows best.
-
Hard to believe he's still only 27.... I wouldnt touch that guy with a 10ft pole, especially for £8m. You never know when his next strop is going to pop up.
-
World class player.... yes in his day. World class manager?.... has to have been in charge of a team first to get that kind of praise. Quinn talks alot of sh*t man, you cant seriously expect the Sunderland fans to believe he only took the job to wait for a world class manager to become available.... and then announce Keane as the manager.
