Transfer window - who would come in given our predicament
Laudbertz replied to a topic in Rangers Chat
What was wrong with Flo? fitness-wise. I wasnt aware of any injuries that were overlooked at the time of his signing. -
Pretty poor game so far tbh, not if you're an Arsenal fan obviously. Dunno what Dudek is playing at.... he'll probably turn up as a Rangers transfer target tomorrow now ive said that!
-
That's a good point Mike. It would be nice if Ally could attend training tomorrow as it might be a couple of days yet before WS is in place. McCoist and Durrant as coaches.... cant believe the day is almost here, lol.
-
I thought he was only in his mid 20's but he's 31. But like you say good player who puts in a good shift. I think he'll go to the EPL before anywhere else though, we cant even say he's 'guarunteed champs league football' when it comes to Rangers at the moment.
-
Maybe SDM is funding it. 'You go ahead Graeme, ill follow in a few months when i find someone else who doesnt put Rangers at heart and sell the club on'. Wishful thinking.

That probably means they were out on the Saturday night and still a bit bleary-eyed by the Monday or something. Still it is a bit concerning. But i have no doubt that if that did happen, PLG would have put the player through their paces as much (maybe more) as if they hadnt come into training in that state. I think PLG is the kind of man to push a player like that in training when he feels the player isnt giving the correct amount of respect for their team. WS will just rip the player a new one.

It is very frustrating when you have youngsters who you know would bust a gut if they got a chance in the first team but the manager doesnt see it that way and continues with the same thing that isnt working. I heard, possibly on here, that we let him go for about £22k aswell. Im not saying give them a starting position in the team, but give them a few sub appearances/second halves to see what the can bring to the team instead of punting them at the first given opportunity.
-
Is it a consortium thing or just him? Thats a very strange one, maybe he's buying himself a team so someone (himself) will put him back in a job.
-
He's about the only player i admire and would have in a Rangers team to come out of tic park for a long time. He had his pick of teams to go to at the begining of this season before he went back to Sweden. Top class player, good to see him sticking it to MON in his first game for Man Utd.

Has there been reports on some player(s) turning up for training drunk or something? That's the impression i get reading through this thread but i never heard anything of it. Pretty much agree with what's being said by most, they are professionals who are getting paid thousands of pounds every week to perform to their highest level. I If they are drinking too much and it is showing in their playing abilities or fitness then they should be shown the door asap.

I think you're right, i doubt anybody coming into the club would get it right off the cuff and like you say there's not alot in the squad at the moment that are 'captain material'. If Todd or Weir do come in and are to stay for a couple of years then i would say one of them should get it after Rae.
-
Read that online too about Todd, also Weir. I think id prefer Todd but either will do, we need at least one experienced defender to come in with the others. Also read that J-Rod, Letizi and Hemdani are moving on. Quite surprised Hemdani is going tbh, unless we are getting Brown in too.

Where is Gough right now? America? Havent heard anything of him since he left Livi last year.

I think if he resigns then its obvious he'll get the Rangers job within the next few days, but then the SFA could sue Rangers and/or WS for doing it that way. Thats my understanding of it anyway, might be wrong.

Just heard from a friend.

He can put it down to lack of that and proper funding.... but we can put it down to his lack of knowledge of the league. Didnt do his homework is what it all boils down too results/performance-wise.
-
Look forward to hearing the results of the meeting Frankie. It is an absolute shambles right now and i dont think even SDM can talk his way around this one without taking some kind of action. Cant add much more to that, your three headings are exactly what needs to be aired to the fans, although im not so sure he'll give as much details as we wouls like on the PLG/BF saga.
-
Hence the reason i said 'although'. Having Burns as manager wouldnt be a bad thing, he's been there longer than anyone else and knows what not to do (the Vogts way), i think it would be the best decision when WS and AM go.

There goes Walter's transfer kitty then! That should be enough to convince them, although they might hold out for more given his sucess with the national team.

One bad thing in this, the SFA might get pissed at Rangers and start fining us in spite for silly little things.... not that that'll be must different from now.

I think we'll still get him, if he wants to come to Rangers then theres not alot the SFA can do. Contracts dont count for much these days.

.... and he can also header the ball from one box to the friggin other.
