    So no foreign players at all at the club then? lol TBH i dont think it needs to be as drastic as all that. There will no doubt be more 'home based' players in the team, but i think with the right coaching (and we have some promising coaches now) and inspiration towards the players we have a decent team. Ill be very happy if its �£8m he gets to spend.

    Thats true, Walter will demand respect, but he gives it too. On Rangers TV last night Andy Goram was on the phone and still calls him Gaffer, he says alot of the old players do an all. Says alot about the man.

    He'll probably end up doing the same as Quinn at Sunderland, take over the reigns for a while, do badly, hire someone to attempt to fix it.

    Didnt know that, if he continues to thrive under the new management, i hope he's offered a new contract.

    I think that if Hemdani plays in defence, it will be the last time he does. I doubt Walter would want him to play there as consistantly as he has and will be looking to bring in a replacement asap. Having said that, i wouldnt like to second guess what team he is going to put out this weekend. He should stick with the 4-4-2 though, i agree with you there.

    The DR is saying �£8m will be made available to Walter. Doubt that very much, at the most it will be �£5m... but i dont really expect it to be that much either. Its wait and see time.

    I think one of the forwards like Buffel would have to leave before buying anyone else.

    I agree, Burns would be the best candidate right now, he's been with the team for 5 years or so and deserve's a crack at it if he wants to that is.

    Just reading through some of the 'views' on the Sky Sports site calling Smith a traitor for leaving the national team in the lurch.... no mention of course that he offered to continue in both roles which was rejected. Also that we were calling for his head when he left the first time saying he was no good in Europe.... he wasnt.... but you would think he'd have a bit more experience now with that given that its been 8 years since he left. But i guess each to their own, my views differ.

    I think he'll go to America. They'll probably have coverage of the MLS on Sky next season if he does.

    Aye its a shame, he's good with the banter no matter who is the opposite captain. Was watching it alot on uk gold over Christmas. Michael Owen is so bloody dull on the shows when he's captain, personality injection required for him.

    No i think it was �£1m we paid for him. Had hoped we would get a bit back from him though but he's off the wage bill now i guess is the main thing.

    I think this was inevitable. Like Beattie, i dont expect too much to come out of it unless the SFA drag it out. A compensation fee should be agreed fairly easily i would have thought.

    The good thing about having McDowall is.... he know's the players they have coming through the ranks, their strengths and weaknesses, might be useful.

    I dont think he was alot of fans' first choice for the post, me included but alot of people have 'warmed' to the idea. But the positive sides of him coming back is we all know he is a Rangers man and has the club at heart, same goes for Ally. That's something i feel has been lacking. He also has alot more experience than when he left 8 or so years ago with his involvement in the EPL (not a great time there i admit) and has done a fantastic just at getting our national team out of the laughing stock we were under Vogts. Taking all that into consideration made me realise that we might just be ok yet, if he gets the chairman's backing in the transfer market too.

    Agreed there, i cant really see anyone else in the team at the moment that would get it other than Prso.

    Do you think McGregor will be dropped again Gribz? I hope he doesnt tbh, his confidence will take a severe hit if he does. I think we'll still be looking to offload Klos, i'd be surprised if we could do it in this window but he'll be off in the summer anyway.

    Im confident he can bring a bit of stability back to the team, and hopefully trophies soon after. Welcome home lads.

    I think he is the third man, it says he's going to be a first team coach, not reserves. I think McCall will still come in at some point too though, whether its now or in the summer remains to be seen.

    Im looking forward to that too, even if i do only hear it on the tv. But at the same time its going to be a very nervous game, if the team is its usual self then the fans wont be chanting for long, thats the only worrying part for me. Dont get me wrong i have every confidence WS can turn things around for us, but its hard not to have these nagging feelings at the back of your mind when you see how bad we've been for so long.

    I think he shook his head cause he wasnt going to comment on what was happening yet. But if he's at MP then the compensation must be a done deal.
