That's not what I've heard.

That certainly sounds more positive.

FSA Limitations Placed on Pritchard Stockbrokers
caseyjones replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
The Clarkson Hill Group Company Secretary - Gary Withey. Director - Katharine Prichard also a director of Wills & Co. who was banned for financial irregularities at that stockbrokers. Both companies went into administration owing millions. Pritchards Stockbrokers picked up clients from Wills & Co, before going bust themselves. Merchant House Group aquired some assets from CHG and set up a financial plannning division. -
Yes, given the words of Whitehouse earlier, they are being taken as a very serious bidder.

Does the wording of that statement strike anyone else as being rather strange? It says that C9S themselves have never been looking to put in a bid for the club, but have been acting for another group of investors. It doesn't say that that particular group will not be bidding, indeed the part about 'saving' the club would suggest that they will be, and will not be looking to exit administration through a CVA.

Statement from CLUB 9 SPORTS â??We can confirm that representatives of Club 9 Sports have been involved with investigating, analyzing and considering a potential purchase of Rangers Football Club, plc on behalf of a group of interested parties from the US and UK. However, at no time has Club 9 Sports itself offered a bid to acquire the club. Our role has been as a member of a proposed consortium. We can also confirm that we have not met with, spoken to or otherwise been associated with Craig Whyte in any way. Furthermore, Club 9 Sports will not be bidding for control of Rangers Football Club, plc. We understand that it has been strongly rumored that our group planned to â??liquidateâ? the club. It should be made clear that any party that attempts to acquire the club, eliminate the debts, affect a turnaround, invest monies and put the club back on solid ground is in fact â??savingâ? the club from liquidation and preserving its past and its future. In an asset purchase, all of the good and valuable assets (records, marks, names, trophies, players, staff, history) are preserved and separated from the bad and harmful liabilities (tax bills, bad contracts, creditors), which have put the club into administration and which act to force the entirety into liquidation. By putting all of the assets into a different corporate structure, the assets are in fact rescued from liquidation. Such a transaction would be very similar to the one that occurred at Leeds United in 2007, which simultaneously rescued that club, maintained its proud history and allowed the club to shed its debt burdens so that it could have the opportunity for future success. Finally, we would like to acknowledge that any successful bidder for Rangers will indeed need to embrace the legendary fan base of the club and communicate with openness and regularity. There is no doubt that the remarkable record of championships won by Rangers is matched only by its equally remarkable support from legions of fans, supporters and followers throughout the world. http://club9sports.c...UB_9_SPORTS.pdf

Administrators Applying To SFA For UEFA Licence
caseyjones replied to caseyjones's topic in Rangers Chat
SFA say that they have no knowledge of any application and that the administrators were told last week, during a conference call with UEFA, that there was no chance of us being involved. -
But, but but........the administators stated that he was irrelevant!
-
They couldn't sign him anyway, could they? A bit of Jack Irvine spin, methinks!

Administrators Applying To SFA For UEFA Licence

The administrators are expecting four, and possibly five, bids by tomorrow's deadline. -

Administrators prepare final act of sorry tale

Tell me about it, hen! They've just paid the SPL money that was outstanding, so good news.

Rangers pay outstanding Dundee United ticket money
caseyjones replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Good to hear. I was just discussing that on another thread. -
Both Dunfermline and Inverness have been paid in full now. DU are now due both Scottish Cup and SPL money. We can only go by what the administrators tell us when it comes to the budget.
-
The administrators had come to an agreement with both Dunfermline and ICT prior to the RFFF even being set up, so had made provision in the budget. The £22,000 payment to Dunfermline only amounted to about a quarter of the total. Choosing to pay football debts is something which I agree with, but choosing to bump only one club is a dangerous road to go down.

I can handle myself when debating a point, but I do find it tiresome when confronted with the sniff sniff nonsense. I will continue to give my opinion and take what comes my way. If you want to view that as righteous arrogance, that is your prerogative.

I expect to see us being treated leniently with regard to the charges relating to Whyte's suitability. I also expect to see the SFA implement a more robust system to ensure that this sort of thing doesn't happen again, something which Regan hinted at in the interview with Thomson. The non-payment to Dundee United for the SC tie could be a different matter, unless the administrators have come to some sort of arrangement. They managed to find the money to pay Dunfermline and ICT for the league games, so pleading poverty may prove difficult.

Admins broker a deal with Whyte re: shares and The Blue Knights
caseyjones replied to johnnyk's topic in Rangers Chat
The hearing for the £3.6m due to start today has been adjourned. All parties who have claims on the £9m of CB money have until mid-April to declare their interest. -
I've been called a taig on various boards, so no singling out.
-
How exactly are we taking it up the arse from the SFA? Whyte broke the rules, as flimsy as they were, and now we need to pay the price. Our only defence is mitigation and citing the extenuating circumstances surrounding all that has gone on since May.
-
Good price for stalwart status, Frankie. Sent.
-
I merely give my opinion, regardless of what the 'board stalwarts'(clique?) view is. I had hoped that it would be something which I could do without being hit with the taig accusations. It looks like I was wrong. Carry on.
