  2. ...or those Scottish businessmen who he will install onto the board to look after the day to day running?
  3. The first two are unknowns, the last one doesn't quite match up to the David Holmes inspired revolution at Rangers. Finished 7th last season - 35 points behind the leaders.
  4. The administrators are there to get the best deal for the creditors. They have already stated that future funding, etc is not their concern.
  5. We'll agree to disagree then It's a moot point anyway, as all three bidders appear to be of a mind to keep him in place.
  6. You do us a disservice, mate. We may not be as big as some of our fans think we are, but we would still be a great opportunity for someone with ambition.
  7. I based it on what I watched on the park ALL season, not just using post-administration guesswork. Given the Dundee United SC performance was prior to February 14, I struggle to see what negative effect the onset of administration really had. More of the same, if you ask me, but it gave a handy wee excuse for the players and management team.
  8. Let's hope so.....but given the evidence, I won't be holding my breath.
  9. So much for ambition.......
  10. I reckon Elllis and Whyte are on the same side and I would be shocked if this ever sees a courtroom. More muddying of the waters designed to create confusion and a more complicated exit out of administration.
  11. If it's his to sell, I don't see what the problem is.
  12. Some very astute points there, mate. Drastic wage cuts need to be made within the playing squad as there is no way we should be forking out £20k+ per week to SPL standard players. Winning the league would still be a possibility if bringing in good, young players, but if it isn't an instant success, crowds will fall away and any proposed share issue would be a non-starter unless TBK are prepared to underwrite it themselves.
  13. That is your choice, of course, but it's no wonder there are divisions within the support.
  14. There are also far too many factions with their own agendas. Why we need to have so many committees set up is beyond me, although that supervisory board you talk about could be the answer to cut out some of the backbiting.
  15. I don't believe that we have the culture for fan ownership, but that's not to say that they shouldn't be given a voice by a good owner. Getting a good owner is the problem, and I'd say that we haven't had one since John Lawrence.
  16. To a certain extent, but like we saw with the previous board, the owner still calls the shots when it comes to the crunch.
  17. Fair points, mate. Personally, it is only about the quality of the bid as opposed to the personalities behind it - Whyte and Ellis apart!
  18. He doesn't mind it once he has your stadium!
  19. Almost cetain.
  20. I'm sceptical of them all, but I'm a miserable bastard at the best of times!
  21. Even if he succeeded in raising our profile, I still don't see where the huge financial gains would come from. Increased TV income would be the property of the SPL, and has anyone in Asia ever bought a legitimate piece of official merchandise?
  22. I can't see us gaining much from either market while we still play in the SPL. If I had to choose between the two based on that criteria, it would be the US bid, simply because of the family ties over there.
  23. I certainly don't think that they would have any qualms dumping TBK and going in with another party. I still think that they are in a far better position than was made out by D&P, but given the nonsense they have put out with regard to Whyte's standing, that comes as no surprise.
