There's also three years of deterioration for us, a point which is oft skirted over. Is there anything stopping the SPL from deciding to do away with promotion/relegation while we are off on our jollies? Reverting back to ten clubs so each member gets a bigger share of the pie?
-
Murray will be sweating buckets.
-
There is no logic in choosing to go to the 3rd. It's based purely on using perceived financial muscle to damage other clubs. There appears to be some romantic notion that we will have 50,000 ST holders at Ibrox, paying SPL prices whilst watching McGregor keeping clean sheets against Montrose and Elgin. Anyone who was around in the early eighties will realise how fickle the support is, and I would say that things are worse now.
-
If there's a big conspiracy against us, why wouldn't the SFL be involved in it? We would still be playing under the auspices of the SFA in the 3rd division. Where will we go if we get to win Division 1? Refuse promotion and just stay there for eternity?
-
So we are potless, have no owners, have players ready to leave at the end of next month and have a transfer embargo in place(subject to appeal). How are we going to be better off playing in the 3rd division?
-
It's not up to McCoist to make those decisions, and he should keep his trap shut instead of causing more alarm at such a volatile time for the club.
-
Perhaps D&P have overstated their case when saying how easy HMRC would be to deal with?
-
If folk want to look at it that way, they will. The Rangers have never been outside the top division, and if at all possible, that's the way it should remain. McCoist was pandering to the fans yesterday instead of being rational.

Lord Hodge also left it open enough for Ticketus to launch an appeal. It could be nothing.
-
Ticketus? That would work for your TB scenario.

That made me chuckle. -
Is this not simply the administrators having the continuation of the appointment rubber-stamped?
-
In a perverse way, a transfer embargo may allow a new owner the time to put something different in place on the field, without the normal pressures associated with the club. I would rather we used these setbacks of the past to come out stronger on the other side.

I've found most of his previous stuff to be pretty poor, but I thought this was very good. We will never be able to influence what happens in Spanish football, but we should try to ensure that we as a club do things the right way.

It was too late as he had already went over his head and informed his boss. -

Killing off other clubs using our financial muscle will only lead to an even poorer league for us to play in, resulting in less revenue and a dwindling product on the park. Whether folk feel hard done by with regard to the SFA sanctions, cutting off our nose to spite our face doesn't appear to be the most sensible way of tackling the problem. If the SFA had really wanted to kill us off, they could have imposed the ultimate sanctions available to them.

For me, it's not about stating facts or furnishing the support with information, it's the underhand way that you went about the whole thing. -

Article in The Herald has Whitehouse claiming that they did nothing with regard to Whyte's shares because Ticketus told them not to!
