  1. I don't see any owner choosing to go to the SFL. It would be financial suicide.
  2. Those who are dead-set against the idea, what are your objections to it?
  3. Does anyone really think that will be the last time we hear from him?
  4. That was with their training ground and wasn't a straight deal between the two parties.
  5. Just answer it truthfully.
  6. It would generate much needed funds to get us on our feet again.
  7. It's Liquidation Lite, and we have been fed this Leeds/Fiorentina scenario by those who take far too much interest in what the tarriers are saying about losing history. Take the 140 years v 113 years argument. This is the first time in my life that I have ever heard anyone discussing The Rangers as two entities - the club and the company, and frankly, it's nothing but a mechanism devised by lawyers and accountants to make rich men even richer, whilst placating the support. I'll put up a thread which I feel will show the true nature of the fans.
  8. The Russian Mafia don't do decency.
  9. It might not be comfortable to hear, but it's pretty much spot on. It is all extremely confusing, but still we see the majority meekly accepting anything without really questioning it - exactly as happened a year ago. I could understand if it was in the distant past, but everyone remembers what it was like then, so there is no excuse.
  10. Thanks, mate. There's a football creditors rule in England, but it doesn't apply in Scotland. UEFA can/will impose sanctions for non-payment to other clubs. I didn't hear what Wishart had to say on the subject, but would be interested to read it.
  11. According to who?
  12. The coppers-in-the-pound creditors may have something to say about that.
  13. Apologies for not being accurate enough for you, but this should put your gas at a peep.
  14. It's never going to be a choice of any owner, and McCoist's ill-considered remarks should have been kept to himself, even if it was some sort of clumsy attempt at pressuring the authorities. It would nail the coffin shut for good.
  15. I was there in the early eighties when I was a teenager, Frankie, and don't get me wrong, I loved those times, despite what was on the park, but the crowds from then tell their own story. The prices in real terms have more than doubled since that era too. The attendance on Wednesday night should also be a warning to those thinking that everyone will turn up regardless. I know that it was a midweek, dead rubber, but rallying cries only last for so long.
  16. I will, but I appear to be in the minority now. Some people will accept anything if it's sold to them in the right way.
  17. Nope, but some people keep pretending that it ever will be.
  18. Assuming SPL participation, does anyone believe that the ST uptake will be as large as it has been, if we are not going to be dominating the division, and perceived to be playing with a poorer squad? This would obviously impact upon the size of the deficit that needs to be bridged.
  19. I take it that's the united front hit the buffers then?
  20. It's not Segens, by any chance.
  21. Aye, and Honved and Sparta Rotterdam will also be mixing with Europe's best once again.
  22. They would, if there's anything to recover.
  23. Attracting players like Bocanegra, without the lure of European football will be increasingly difficult.
