UPDATE - Conversation with Mr John Bennett (Blue Knights)
capstans replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
As a supporter and shareholder in Rangers Football Club, naturally I welcome any moves to bring the club out of administration as soon as possible but as an IFA with clients invested in Mr Bennettâ??s Fund, you will appreciate that I am extremely concerned about the possible impact on Fund performance of his involvement with the â??Blue Knightsâ?. I think it is obvious the concerns are of a personal business nature above all else. -

Maybe Bennett is the best judge of his own capabilities rather than some curtain twitcher. -

Don't people have the right to live their lives private or otherwise as they so wish, without dogooders writing to their employers, steamie wives comes to mind. -
my heart bleeds they will be tellling us next that the cut was voluntary, rather than the administratots laying out the facts of life in front of them. Sort of made them am offer they couldn't refuse, no cuts accepted means chainsaw time.

D Murray Rubbishes The 2 Contracts Allegations

I now realise it is better to keep out of this altogether, our views and opinions as always will count for naught, simple cannon fodder. -
Nothing I have read seen or heard leads me to believe that Wjyte is not firmly in the driving seat.
-
Either Whyte bought us or he didn't, there are no inbetweens, either he owns us or he doesn't. Anything else leaves murray and the bank in deep shit, all for a tokem £1 ?
-
I don't believe I Have read as much nonsense in the one article before. Will be telling us next that murray never sold to Whyte and the bank never got any money.

Important Questions For The Scottish Media To Be Asking?
capstans replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
The administrator suggested Whyte may be due nothing, a long way from saying he is due nothing. -
Important Questions For The Scottish Media To Be Asking?

Who owns what. Why is the floating charge alleged to be irrelevant yet when the bank held it it was the Holy Grail. Don't insult our intelligence by saying Whyte didn't putin any money, that would stand the age old business tenet of never use your own money on its head. Why are we not united in our quest fot stability to many schemes and factions fighting for blazers, plenty of freeloaders and glory hunters when we need a leader with a single purpose, that being the well being of the club. -

Whyte looks like he may have stiffed ticketus with a long firm RFG, likely to liquidate RFG after hiving of everything Rangers included to a new holding company, I will shed no tears for loan sharks like ticketus. -

Hope for Rangers with administrator set to seize Whyte's shares

That is the whole problem no one seems to bothered as to how this deal was structured or executed, I think the bank are not going to get away as lightly as some think. -

It would appear whither we or the administrators like it or not Whyte has done nothing illegal, which is why the bank after running a source of funds check accepted Whytes funds as clean, otherwise the bank has questions to answer. -

What I want to know is Whyte going to give us our club back, he still owns the club, or is the plan for him to challenge the administrators findings which he is quite at liberty to do setting us back to square one. -

capstans replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Therein lies the rub he didn't clear anything with our money, he allegedly cleared the debt by means of factoring projected future revenue that is something not yet sold involving risk being taken by the finance provider. Whyte also claims to have underwritten this also through another one of his companies, the fact that Ticketus have neither confirmed nor denied this leads me to think Whyte may be cleverer than many think. -

I must have missed them confirming that can you give a link or direct quote to the administrators confirming this. -

Apparently the administrators are having difficulty unravelling that point, you would have thought a simple call to LBG would clear the matter up to everyone's satisfaction, at least there would be no doubt then. -

While all of the above is heartwarming it doesn't change the original facts. LBG assinged debt and floating charge to Wavetower/RFG/Whyte, it follows that Whyte is the secured creditor, how he financed this morally or ethically is moot, if criminally that is a different matter however even after all this time there is not a criminal mark against Whyte's name. Like it or not he bought the club for £1 quite legally, we may find Whyte is still holding the aces and could be with us for some time yet.
