Don't player contracts need to be rubber stamped by the SFA?

Dismayed by some of my fellow "fans".
Ergatrude replied to Max Rebo's Big Blue Nose's topic in Rangers Chat
I haven't used any other forums so can't comment on that. I agree with the OP's comments about certain sections of our fans letting us down. In our current situation it would be more constructive if they used the matches to voice support for the players & staff that are potentially losing there jobs rather than showing acts of defiance to the SPL/Police. On another note Celtic fans should, IMO, be called Rangers haters as most of them that I know spend more energy hating Rangers than they do supporting Celtic. I fear that this mentality may be infecting some Rangers fans. We have to remember that we live in a democracy (apparently) and they are granted their freedom of speech & their right to have an opinion. Unfortunately for them, they are Rangers fans - rendering those rights invalid. -
A mhank hit out with this rumour in work today, it gave me a chuckle; Ridiculous.

Is it time to revisit the subject of selling stadium naming rights?
Ergatrude replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Not when the club is as well known as Rangers is, if the brand wants promoted it should be about the amount of coverage it gets, not the quality of league. The league might be shitty but our club is/was on TV regularly, plays in Europe, has 30,000+ spectators every week & is one of the most well known clubs in the world. If thats not worth £7-£10m a year then I don't know what is -
Is it time to revisit the subject of selling stadium naming rights?

I wouldnt mind selling naming rights, it'll always be Ibrox. I would hope we would generate more than £60m over 20 years though tbh. -
Cull continues - Ali Russell And Gordon Smith Leave
Ergatrude replied to Danny's topic in Rangers Chat
Sorry about the delay in replying. I'm not sure if it was about money, but I'm also not sure if it was about exposing Whyte. I think it could have been more about trying to prove he isn't a shady businessman as Whyte suggested because he is a businessman afterall & he has to work after Rangers either way and so Whyte suspending & dismissing him could be harmful for him in the future. -
I'd like to start some sort of over the top campaign about this until the SFA back down, like Lemon done.. but like Bluebear (I think) said yesterday we have more important things to spend our time on at the minute.

Let's see if Doncaster has a spine afterall, my gut feeling is no he doesn't.

I don't think we'll agree here Zappa mate. I can see where you are coming from and in any other circumstances I'd be on your page, 100%. -

This is exactly why I believe they should have sued him & not the club. -
Why does the club still have this huge £10m shortfall per season?
Ergatrude replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
I omitted him from my comment cause' I get dizzy with the circles we talk when he is mentioned. -

If they wanted what was best for the club, like they said they did, then they would have just taken it on the chin instead of freezing funds/assets during our worst financial period in our history. I'm not disagreeing with you about how shitty they were treated, I just disagree with how they dealt with the aftermath. They could have sued CW for defamation of character or slander since he said publicly that they were basically dodgy. -

Then they should have sued CW, not the club. -
This I would sign up for, gladly.

At least they agreed to leave amicably. If it had been Bain and co then they would be in court right now ring-fencing funds for loss of earnings.. -
It's astonishing how blatant they are when it comes to this subject.

I thought that the one thing this guy would have that we needed was pace & he just didnt have it.
-
For now at least. I'm concerned that if this went ahead then go's would take over & a power struggle would commence amongst the various trusts involved. That could, potentially, be devastating for Rangers.

Did they air your mug then Frankie? Or is it a case of 'face fit for radio'?

I think ultimately Murray is responsible. Murray spent the money. Murray oversaw the EBT's. Murray sold the club to an alleged crook. Murray was warned about Whyte on several occassions. Murray used share rights issues to reduce debts, twice iirc, and failed. Murray allegedly used the club to save one of his companies several years back (I'm not sure if this was financial or just using Ibrox as security). MURRAY left us in the shit.

Seriously? 'significant bearing on Arsenal's future' - I'm speechless at this.

More bad news in today's Record - Whyte's lawyers not cooperating
Ergatrude replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
What gets me is that most of this information is coming from the Daily Record. The very newspaper that everyone on here was discounting as publishing non-credible information not so long ago. Make your minds up people, they are either scumbags or they are not. They can't be both. Maybe some of the stuff they print is true, but they are definitely exaggerating a lot of it. That coupled with tie'ing links up that don't exist just to create a story. (See the ex-Portsmouth interest in Rangers story.. no quotes from the man who has since categorically denied these claims. The Record basically decided this interest was there because they both had a tax case in common). Let the relevant authorities on these subjects tell us the information directly before we frenzy.
