Very impressive detail in your reports in the youth thread. I appreciate the effort you put in.

I thought he left when the players were offered mutual terminations by d&p? -
Very detailed info. Are you a scout or just a hobbyist?

I thought it was Shinnie's decision to leave? -
I think Hutton is weaker on the ball but can pick out a better pass than Black.

My younger brothers friend and his dad are QP season ticket holders & both very nice people. His dad was once a bear but didn't want his son brought up in the hatred of the goldfish bowl.

What ever happened to Jack Hamilton, he was supposed to be the next Craig Gordon. Is he any good? -

Jamie Murphy would add a lot. Him & Templeton playing would be exciting to watch I reckon. -
I was thinking along the same lines. The sun isn't shy to publish a massive story at the risk of a lawsuit.
-
Which is exactly why I posted. 2 weeks & all I've heard is the sun have a tape.

If this was us it would be all over the tabloids - we'll see!

70 fans ejected.. 200 involved. Let's put this in context.. there was only 49 'rangers' fans arrested during the Manchester embarrassment. I know its a poor comparison dye to the fact that there won't be 49 arrests and the fact that some of 08 was televised etc. The fact that its probably the worst stadium violence that I've ever heard of (im 25) should merit national coverage at least? -
At first this disappointed me, but some of the kits warrior have produced have been very nice. I'm sure our credible support in the states would like this too as surely this would make it easier, and cheaper to buy merchandise over there?
-
Correct to assume an agenda against the rangers at least. Rumours are rife that a tabloid newspaper (the sun) has a recording of certain individuals that are highly placed in our game discussing actively trying to kill off our club. Are these rumours true? Has anyone heard or heard of any of the information in said tape or know who these individuals are? I'm hearing about legal implications due to the tape being obtained illegally, what are these legal implications? Surely not the data protection act? Give the tape to Chuck I say, he'll play the tape over the Ibrox tannoy & then the newspapers can report about that. If this is true then this should rock our country to the core and I can only see hatred coming from this.

It's a no from me for several reasons: 1. He's a troublemaker. 2. He's been found out in the premier league as not good enough. 3. He pretty much laughed at us in the papers when he moved to Blackburn.

Bang a drum in a surgeon's ear and it doesn't matter how highly trained he/she is or how steady his/her hand is, shit is getting messed up. The only complaint I have of police horses is that they dont pick their shite up.
-
I agree with both points here. Well saying its Christmas :fish:

Yep, as I said there has to be a compromise. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the OBB gives them the same kind of authority as the terror act gives the American pd for terrorist suspects in terms of the fact no evidence, or very little little evidence, is required to eject or ban a person from a football ground.
-
Because at the end of the day they are in charge. As long as the OBB is in place we don't have a leg to stand on. When you don't do as you are told then you should be prepared to be arrested. I'm not saying it is right at all, I'm saying it is what will happen.
-
I'd say the whole sorry saga would have been avoided by a bit of common sense from both sides. If a police officer tells you to shut up then you shut the fuck up. If you chose to ignore him then you will be arrested, that is common sense. If you see a person being arrested and you try to defend them then you will also be arrested, that is common sense. The vast police presence, particularly in BF1 is intimidating. Intimidation + crowds, especially passionate crowds, causes tension. Add a red card & a jobsworth or alcohol into the mix and you have a recipe for disaster, that is common sense. The police need to relax a little, but we also have to stop thinking we are above the law. There must be a common ground and the supporters groups and police need to find this or it will only get worse.

We're doing just fine! Some have short memories.

Oops. Misinterpreted a quote saying we had reduced the bill by 3-4 million PER QUARTER. My bad, sorry. -

The wage bill is closer to 3million. -
This thread is turning into a fuck the police thread. Stick up for fellow fans, that's fine, I encourage that, we are all one big family.. but at the end of the day the police are there to do their job. Menacing and/or threatening behaviour must not be tolerated. The accused made a threatening gesture.. do you honestly believe the police just waded in? I'm sure it is far more likely they told him to shut up to which the accused (or someone else) kicked off. You have to remember the atmosphere was hostile at this point after the red card and the police would have been very alert. It was the most hostile atmosphere I've ever experienced. I witnessed a steward being hit on the head with an "always Ibrox" flier. This was after the original fracas. He could easily have construed that as menacing behaviour but he let it go to keep the calm. That should have been the reaction from our fans after being told to settle the fuck down (in a judge dredd accent) This is just an opinion as I could not see the full event from where I was sitting. If the police used excessive force and you know this for a fact then contact your local MSP. Generalising the police because of 1 incident is unfair. On the same token, its unfair of Gaz to assume it was drink related. I'll take criticism for this but it could be worse.. across the pond it would have been rubber and/or live bullets.
