Does Playing In Scotland Hinder Youth Development ?
Ergatrude replied to elfideldo's topic in Rangers Chat
Thank you for a pleasant, interesting & informative read. Refreshing to read something new. I think that Scotland is a good place for youth players due to our clubs finances restricting alot of clubs to small squads with alot of part-time/youth players. This of course results in a higher chance of game time, which, increases confidence and ability. Unfortunately I think that because it is well documented that the Scottish game isn't very strong, alot of potential youth players abandon the idea of football for a stable career. I went to school (the same school as Gregg Wylde) with a few boys who I know played with/for Rangers/Celtic youth teams but chose apprenticeship trades instead of football based on money & that, for me, is a sad reality. -

Why the football club I love is in danger of being eaten by Sharks
Ergatrude replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Where did you read that FS? I'm basing my replies on the OP. It looks to me as though BK bought Stockport County, invested 4m & agreed a deal with his rugby club, Sale Sharks, so that that the sharks could rent the ground on match days. After which he sold the club to fans for 1 quid. If it was sinister then with the club being in admin then couldn't BK just offer the administrators money to buy the stadium & essentially evict County? -

I think if the deal was similar to the county one then we would be fine. As it says in OP, the ground is owned by county & rented to Sale Sharks. Unless ofc a rugby team moved in & offered the administrators a substantial amount of money.. which I doubt will happen in Scotland. -

I wish I got the deeds to my house when I started renting it... :fish: -
Maybe Ally McCoist chose the team? :fish:

UPDATE - Conversation with Mr John Bennett (Blue Knights)
Ergatrude replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
FS, I think that BH already said that the only reason he contacted JB was to clarify how his involvement with the BK consortium would affect his clients. The findings were posted here because they are relevant to how we should see PM's bid as it would appear that he has been less than honest. -
Of course nit mate, they were cheated.

I'd take being called a curtain twitcher as abuse mate. I can understand the differing of opinion, that's what forums are for. I think the opinions would have been better aired about the information extracted rather than how or why they information was received. -

Know whats funny? We are all waiting for information.. BH gets some valid, up-to-date information & shares it WITH PROOF (doesn't happen much these days) & then he has received a fair bit of abuse? Have I missed something? The fact BH has taken the time out to have a conversation with a potential owner of our club, I understand it was in his clients interest, is something which I appreciate. From the OP I have changed my opinion of PM. I was never a big fan because he is acting almost identical to how Whyte did at first, constantly in the papers, acting confident but not actually disclosing any financial information & then jumping into bed with the same 'loan sharks' that CW associated himself with. Now, thanks to BH, we know that PM lied when he said that there were more than 10 millionaires interested in a Rangers consortium & I take the fact that he is publicly naming people, who haven't yet decided whether to be involved or not, as 'Blue Knight'. So BH, this bear appreciates your effort. -

@BH & @Metlika: Lennon has made comments like this over & over again. Even after the dust was settled from last seasons pantomine he still carried on have digs at ref's, linesmans, players, managers, ball boys, drink bottles.. He was reprimanded several times last season, but this season he seems untouchable. Undignified, sore-loser, imo ofc. -

Cammy Bell, from the limited footage I have seen, played an absolute blinder. I disagree with comments such as "Kilmarnock can count themselves pretty fortunate", when it was the fact that their goalkeeper was doing his job and being an absolute stand out that kept their hopes alive. That's not being fortunate, in fact I'd argue that Celtic would have been fortunate to score against him today. -

How does Lennon get away with comments like "the ref got that one completely wrong" when anyone else would be fined? -
Bolton sign Wylde after Rangers exit By AFP Published Saturday, March 17, 2012 Bolton have agreed to sign Scotland Under-21 winger Gregg Wylde following his departure from Rangers last week. Wylde was one of two players to leave financially stricken Scottish champions Rangers to help ease their financial worries and English Premier League outfit Bolton have moved quickly to secure his services. Bolton are able to sign Wylde on a free transfer, although the 20-year-old's move is still subject to authorisation and clearance from FIFA. Wanderers manager Owen Coyle hopes Wylde's arrival will boost his side's hopes of avoiding relegation, with Bolton currently just one point above the relegation zone. "To capture a player of Gregg Wylde's talent is a fantastic bit of business for the football club, especially given the interest that was shown in him by a number of other Premier League teams," he said. "He is young, quick and exciting, and has played at a very high level with Glasgow Rangers, both domestically and in Europe. "Gregg is a creator and scorer of goals. We are thrilled to have him on board and everyone is looking forward to working with him." http://www.emirates247.com/sports/football/bolton-sign-wylde-after-rangers-exit-2012-03-17-1.448873?

He must have been on at least that to take a 75% cut. I could be wrong but I thought (based on non-fact conversations at work/pub etc); 12.5k+ = 75% cut 7.5k+ = 50% cut 3k+ = 25% cut
