Was just reading this. Probably won't stop the Sevco/Newco talk.

Lucrative English football league could be opening up for Rangers
Ergatrude replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I think that even considering this is disrespectful to the SFL, after the past few weeks. That being said.. announcing that we are moving to England on the day that we win promotion from the first division would be an amazing feeling. That would also be the ultimate revenge for the sections of our support that are insisting revenge is a must. -
Things might be about get tasty.Green uses the B word.

From Wiki: This describes exactly what has happened to us. An agenda driven campaign where the leaders call the shots believing they are correct & justified to meet their own goals. They used the media to scare the other people into believing they were right, this snowballed into sanction after sanction. It was a completely bigoted campaign. -
I haven't had a season ticket since I was a juvenile. I will buy one this season once I decide which section I'd like to sit.

Has Edu returned? I've asked him a few times on Twitter but been met with a wall of silence.

Is this a cup that we have challenged for before?

I agree, but the general consensus (mainly twitter) are suggesting that Green has given in to the SPL so we can play football. I don't think he has at all. I'm of the opinion that he pushed them to the limit & after that statement I'm convinced Green came out on top.
-
I'd hazard a guess that he is thinking of legal action if we receive sanctions. Remember they were pushing for us to accept without appeal any decisions regarding EBT's. Tonights announcement says the SPL are reserving the right to investigate the EBT's. It didn't say we waived our right to appeal. Massive point everyone seems to be missing IMO. I would take that as a victory, however small.
-
Funny how everyone in that statement talks about getting on with football.. oh wait.. not Doncaster.. he now wants to focus on the EBT investigation. Do your job & sort your own league out you bellend.

Anyone go to any Premiership games?
Ergatrude replied to Daniel Amokachi's topic in General Football Chat
I've been to Anfield a couple of times, but only because a few boys I know are Scousers & Kop fans. I cheer when they score & will them to win as it makes for a better night in the pub.. but I wouldn't say I support them. -
They also tweeted that the Brechin game would go ahead with or without a license.

The S.F.L. @OFFICIAL_SFL Please note the http://scottishfootballleague.com website is being updated at the present time. League tables fixtures etc are therefore not complete.

Rangers Broadcasting Rights: Is it Buying or Blackmail?
Ergatrude replied to andy steel's topic in Rangers Chat
I think in a round about way the spastic is trying to suggest that if we were stripped of titles then our European campaign for the season after should also be void. So removing our UEFA final medals, basically. What the nugget forgets is that by doing this they would have to change our national coefficient for those seasons and therefore Celtic's European campaigns would also be void. -
I agree with what you say here GA. We should stand up to the SFA/SPL & not be belittled. Revenge is a different story though.
-
I don't think any revenge should be carried out. We should concentrate all our efforts on rebuilding & supporting our club, fuck every other club, governing body, journalist or Tim on a library computer. We are Rangers, Super Rangers.. Revenge is wasted time & resources IMO. Lets get The Rangers back to being the most successful team in the world. I'd like us to make it a family experience again. I want it to be about football, a chance to support the boys in blue, a timeslot away from work or life troubles.

Rangers Broadcasting Rights: Is it Buying or Blackmail?
Ergatrude replied to andy steel's topic in Rangers Chat
Just realised I never actually answered the question. IMO, the SPL are currently milking the cash cow that they voted out. The SFL should put their foot down. The revenue that each club in SFL3 will generate this season due to our away support will surely be worth more than the £2m that would be split up amongst all 3 leagues. Take that, & then split the TV money that they could generate for The Rangers games & I'd imagine they would be better off financially than the £2m that the SPL are offering. Could be wrong though, I usually am -
Rangers Broadcasting Rights: Is it Buying or Blackmail?

I would like to see the Dual contract investigation carried out. Since we are starting from scratch, I want it to be open & with no hidden past & no potential liabilities in the future. I'd also like to do this with dignity, so for me, all grudges are dropped towards all other teams & chairmen & journalists who have kicked us while we were down. I cannot be fucked hating anymore, I want to be a supporter of my club & that is all. -
Two new players at Auchenhowie: Beattie and Black
Ergatrude replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
No to mention a more physical league. I'm sure he will be fine though.. what with Ian Black crumbling anyone who goes near him -
Dean Shiels would be great. I think Griffiths is a thug, as is Black.. however the lower leagues are far more physical, maybe thats what we need.
-
Time for a fresh start, clean slate. I think we should now drop our grudges & push on with pride & dignity. This could be the best day in our history. Friday 13th July 2012 - the day the most successful team in the world bit the bullet that was fired at the wrong person. Im genuinely excited.

He hasn't walked away in our time of need, that's enough for me.

In my experience I'v only been on 2 Gers Forums. I joined FF about 3 years ago & was taken aback by some of the stuff posted on there & never logged back on. I still get the newsletter (which is sometimes convenient, especially when I'm at work). I found Gersnet via NewsNow & after reading the match preview had a gander at 2 or 3 posts which seemed well written & debated in a friendly manner & so I joined. Gersnet is a great site & very well moderated with a hardcore group of 20 or so members which make this a definite home for Rangers news/Views & more recently Blues. I've not been near my PC or laptop much lately due to work & Xbox + the fact I needed a time out from all the Rangers drama but recently found an app called 'Talpatalk' which is very handy for viewing/replying via my mobile phone (someone mentioned it a while ago on here but I only recently installed it), & so have been on alot more! Oops, seems like I'm writing a novel! Sorry! Basically keep up the good work, you guys rock!

Been following what he's been saying on twitter. He reckons that Rangers are entitled to a place in the English leagues due to the membership thing that surfaced this week. He says he has Middle Eastern interest to buy the oldco & pay all liabilities & fund a new club in the English leagues if we are granted a place. It does sound like a lot of bullshit, but I think he genuinely believes it can happen.

All the negativity towards Smith but I bet it's coming from all the people who supported him a month ago when he led a consortium to buy the club. His opinion on the matter is as valid as everyone else's. Football is about money, the SPL has none, get over it. The days of playing for the Jersey are long gone, & the few players who still play for the badge deserve more admiration than money could buy. The fact remains, however, that the those players who left have now gone. Why can't we just focus on next season rather than directing our anger & sometimes venom at people who had nothing to do with our current situation, still managed to win trophies under extreme circumstances & even took a pay-cut for the cause? Some of the abuse these players have received on Twitter has been shameful. I don't like the way they left as much as the next person but what is done is done. We have more important things to be worrying about.
