Is Ally the Man for the job? - The McCoist Thread
Ergatrude replied to 54andcounting's topic in Rangers Chat
The part where he says he was going to buy 4 season books but Ally saved him a fortune. That line summed it up for me & made the rest irrelevant. I'm not buying a season ticket for Rangers so that I have some strange form of blackmail or excuse to whinge. Im buying it to watch The Rangers. Win, lose or draw. -
Isn't there a 5 player loan rule?

Sports tycoon Mike Ashley to buy stake in Rangers
Ergatrude replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Rangers tops are £20 on Amazon just now. Short Sleeved only. -
Here is why I became a Ranger: http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?39596-The-day-I-became-a-Ranger.&highlight=the+day+i+became+a+ranger I chose to link it rather than post it as it's quite long

Very sleek & easy on the eye. The central interactive box with the league table/next opposition & youth is a very good tool. Bravo, great update.

Beer & being gullible don't mix. Thank fuck the beer dilutes the shame I should feel right now. Ahaha. My father never wore a sash, he wore a skirt. Not because he's Scottish, but because he's a ponce.

I made a thread about why I support The Rangers just before we went into admin. Cant find it to copy & paste Basically went to a game after years of being a fan just because my grampa was & couldn't believe the atmosphere.
-
Any particular reason why he has been so kind as to donate this? Or is this a wind-up I don't get?
-
I think the main lesson to be learned is that if you mix good weather, cheap tickets (£13 for an adult? I paid that for a kids ticket!) & then factor in a stand with a pay-at-the-gate option it will push the crowds in the right direction. Although I have a season ticket this year, in the past I wouldn't buy a ticket as I couldn't be 100% sure that I'd be finished work in time or if I would be able to stay awake after work, this option gives alot of flexibility. I could be taking the wrong angle, but that's what was going through my head last night.

I like the club deck because it has a great view & I don't have to be the only person not singing - I'm one of those people that even though I know every word to the song.. I sing the wrong verse or get the words in the wrong order & look like a complete tit. I was in GR5 last night though & the views were just as good. I felt a bit more cramped though, most likely due to there being over 90,000 people in that stand alone

I think the Jardine comment was just because it was the first time back at Ibrox since we liquidated. I think someone more suited to being a speaker would have been better though, no disrespect to the man but he was speaking like he was reading from braille to someone hard of hearing or who spoke a different language.

Here is the view we had from Govan Rear just before kick-off.
-
Wallace was different class. Levein is a fool. His argument is pointless anyway, a good cup run is enough to get a call-up regardless of the league the team are in.
-
No beef Andy, I just reckon they are being conservative. Govan rear felt packed, great view there but quite cramped. 38k for a cup game, very impressive. Dean Shiels was impressive. Little had the energy of Novo. Broadfoot is rusty, his timing for tackles needs looked at. Also, the new banners were nice. Might aswell turn those tvs off, kept seeing them flicker out of the corner of my eye.

I'm sure the ink is already drying on tomorrow's late edition Record.:tlb:
-
I also like the "I get knocked down, then I get up again, ain't ever gonna keep me down" when we scored.
-
There was definitely more than 38 thousand of us there tonight. There were so many paying at the gate that they opened the club deck & delayed kick-off by 10-15 minutes. I'm assuming the 38k figure is pre-booked tickets without the pay at the gate tickets.

Dutchy, I dunno what has happened between you & Craig & it is absolutely none of my business. Don't let whatever has happened stop you from going to Ibrox. There are many Bears with alternate views, I consider myself 1 of them. The only common ground is Rangers. We don't have to like each other or agree on everything to support our team. Got get yourself a ticket man, you'll feel better when our boys walk out onto our pitch.

We doing match previews for the site this season? I dont see the thread for dates & writers.
-
Come on man. You're a Rangers fan, not a care bear. We go to games to watch The Rangers, not to have conversations. 5:30pm, queue for your ticket mate! WATP.

I think its just a tim-bashing. Seen them talk about it on twitter. Probably a good laugh.
-
I know that just saying that Whyte is not involved isn't proof.. but what else can they really do to prove that he isn't involved? Hang him publicly?

There isn't anything undignified in speaking the truth. The SPL are a bigotted establishment. They believe they have the ultimate power over all of Scottish football & everything they do or say is correct - that is the mindset of a bigot. What is undignified is spending the best part of a year preaching about Sporting Integrity & then holding the 3rd Divisions annual payment (some would say lifeline) to ransom until they accept a TV deal, which could potentially have been worth many millions more to the league & also agree to allow the SPL to carry on with sanctions against one of their member clubs. Fuck sporting integrity, that's daylight robbery. The SPL have no morals or dignity & this article does nothing to disprove it.

So more away games would be televised than home games? I hope that is the case.
-
I was intending on buying a season ticket purely because of the 3pm kick-offs. (I rarely get a Saturday or Sunday off but I can wrangle a 12pm finish most weekends).. the TV deal might ruin me
