  1. "Red and Black scarf campaign has raised £11k – JH & SJ thought it a strange choice of colour. The RST member disagreed." This little nugget is a microcosm of the issues that any fans group involvement with the actual running of the club will create, and while I'm at it, how come only £11k was raised? At last count 4,000 scarves were sold...meaning 25% or less actually going to the club? I have no faith whatsoever in the RST from what I've seen and heard over the last few weeks. Amateur hour springs to mind.
  2. Lennon's whining interview with Chris "impartial" Mclaughlin. Comedy gold. http://soundcloud.com/celticresearch/lenny-radio-scotland/s-ukpjT
  3. Spot on Darthter, made me chuckle imagining this.
  4. I thought this was another fund being set up, was thinking to myself "does Rangers have a Portakabin?" Something does need to be organised for non techy fans though mate.
  5. I admire him as a footballer, he may well be the last technically gifted international striker we see at Ibrox for many moons and I don't blame him for leaving. He's not up there with my idols but I'll always have a soft spot for the guy. Best of luck to him.
  6. Do people still do that? Sorry fella.
  7. In a way I do too, he's certainly not the devil incarnate that some would like us to think. I'm not naive enough to think he was in this for the good of the club just that his aim and mine as a fan is basically the same thing. HMRC and historic debts and contracts left behind and Rangers to emerge from the other side of insolvency. We're not that far away from that outcome at this point.
  8. Scores on his debut at Goodison. I've got him to score 1st and Everton win 2-1 for £200....c'mon big man another one and then let Spuds get a late consolation.
  9. I don't know what a GT-I9000 is but I want one.
  10. There are a couple of Ticketus entities mate, not sure which is the one we are interested in. They are owned by Octopus Finance so may well have borrowed the money but from their parent company which is less sinister. I don't want them anywhere near us and can't understand why anybody would. They had zero interest in owning a football club until last month.
  11. Best thing to do Gav is try to read the statements released by Duff and Phelps (of which there are many) they tell the story of what has gone on these last couple of weeks better than anybody. Failing that I'm sure someone (who's not about to go to the park with two toddlers) will stick some bullet points down. Congrats on the new arrival btw :-)
  12. Don't ; be so ; harsh ; on the guy; he's trying ; his best;
  13. Absolutely 100% NO to Ticketus involvement. I now understand why I had a nagging feeling about Paul Murray's Blue Knights. They want their money in for the tickets and will not invest another penny if they get their hands on the tiller.
  14. Ticketus/Octopus Finance are bracing themselves for a £24.4m boot in the balls by the sound of it. I still can't quite get my head round why they would advance that money to a new owner of a club in severe financial difficulty...he has achieved a lot by flashing this £33m letter of security around. Think I'll make one up myself, anybody fancy taking over Chelsea with me?
  15. If you buy and support the gutter press you are just as bad they are. I wouldn't wipe my arse with them.
  16. Talking of big stories...i just saw the front of The Sun. 6 British soldiers die in Afghanistan in one of the biggest losses of life since the campaign began and their front page is about Craig Whyte. Is that supposed to be a joke?
  17. That bitterness and hatred has spilled over into actively trying to kill us off though, complaints, campaigns and just plain old lies have been perpetrated on us over the last few years. The playing field is no longer level but skewed hideously against us and it will only get worse, the scent of blood was in their nostrils and they will not just go back to rivalry easily. I'm not for a minute saying that this is some kind of Roman/Republican conspiracy but if enough of them spend enough time and effort they can cause us problems for many years to come. If we emerge relatively unscathed from this (post CVA) with new investment and the big black shadow of HMRC banished then I fully expect it to go to another level. Leaving them in their own conflicted midden would be the ultimate insult.
  18. How can they possibly hold a press conference at a time like this, St Paulius McBridius has gone with the angels don;t you know?
  19. I'm having a wry smile at the win bonuses thing. Given how poor they've been since January this should amount to £4.50 and a packet of Starburst.
  20. It's pretty simple really, if the league clubs in England agreed to it then it would happen. Keith Hill had high level discussions with the then 1st division clubs and couldn't reach an agreement. Now,would they have even bothered to talk about it if it was such a big obvious impossibility? UEFA do not have any rules that specifically prevent clubs moving from one association to the other as far as I know. I think a lot of people are sticking to the "it will never happen" ethos when circumstances and attitudes change in football. I agree it's a long shot but given the right circumstances it could happen. UEFA have said before that if a league is restricting club's ability to trade then it would consider such a scenario. Are the SFA,SPL and SFL restricting Rangers ability to trade? That would be an interesting case for Brussels.
  21. So Craig Whyte may not be the secured creditor after all.... Duff and Phelps have now set the cat amongst the pigeons with that little bombshell. It got me wondering where this assertion that he was the secured creditor began? I haven't heard Whyte say this or in fact any of the main protagonists, mostly media and fans.
  22. Regan is getting it on Twitter big time. Me and Stu have exchanged views before but I won;t hold my breath for a response this time.
