  1. Knew I shouldn't have read this thread.
  2. Clyde away was much much better and maybe it marks the start of our season proper. You have to remember we had no pre season, it's massively important to players. Half a dozen games without points at stake would have avoided the poor start imo.
  3. I watched the CH4 piece from Alex Thomson last night out of curiosity and couldn't believe what I was seeing. No evidence, cleverly edited quotes from the QC, conjecture and hearsay seemed to form the basis of it. If anybody thinks high profile media outlets aren't out to harm Rangers and demonise the fans all they have to do is watch that report. It has to be given the green light at a high level and probably be run past lawyers so the question is who at CH4 is authorising this dangerous rubbish? Spiers is just a desperate man who will latch onto anything to give his fading profile and credibility a boost. I have no doubt he'd do the same with Celtic if it benefited him.
  4. He'd jump at the chance to come back and work with Rangers I'm sure. Maybe under a Director of Football ie Sir Walter?
  5. I caught a quick glance at McCoist in the Record talking about Rangers having a set-up along the lines of Ajax,PSV etc. He's right in many ways but unfortunately I don't see him as being the man to introduce that kind of philosophy. What's Jan Wouters doing these days?
  6. If that's the best he and his bigoted pals can do to de-rail a share issue then bring it on. the guy is not to be taken seriously, I actually think he's having some kind of middle aged crisis and yearning for life on the edge again.
  7. I can't bring myself to fully approve of VB, mostly because I'm not a Protestant or a Loyalist but I am a Unionist and so I think they have a legitimate place in our multi-faceted support. We're a huge fanbase and as with any large group (100's of 1000's of people) there are bound to be sub groups who share the same views and beliefs and unite under that ideology. It's unrealistic to think that we can purge all political and religious unpleasantness from our club and in the same way it's unrealistic to think that Celtic can do the same. The difference between the two sets of fans is that Rangers supports (on the whole) want to separate football from politics and religion. Celtic fans feel differently and actively defend and promote their political viewpoint as an integral part of what Celtic Football Club means to them, they also wish to deny that platform to their bitter rivals. This is where I think groups like Vanguard Bears come in and so in a kind of perverse logic I agree that our traditions need defending. If it upsets some people then so be it.
  8. Unfortunately that is exactly how things seem to work mate.
  9. The defiance thing is hilarious, after all why shouldn't we be? We've had our club dragged through the mud and every attempt has been made to kill us off as a functioning institution. Fucking right we're defiant.
  10. Brrrrrrrr!
  11. Apparently Rangers have been giving away free tickets...the obsessed ones at their bonkers best!
  12. Absolutely. Call it blind faith or call it loyalty but it's what we do.
  13. The thing is we might never know the full story. If Whyte has some involvement then it's so well disguised as to be invisible. CG might stay his three years and sell up with a big brown envelope going to Craigy boy but we'd be none the wiser.
  14. Call people liars and misguided and then say that "Rangers had to go there because they were a new club starting over." Good one Jim
  15. Is that what that pain was? I thought it was the Murgh Masala from last night. Talk about melodramatic.
  16. It's exactly Stabuck's policy - "no pay". They structure their franchises in such a way that they never make a profit but the initial set-up fee is paid in the US long before the site is opened. Turnover of £1.2bn in the last three years and not one single penny in corporation tax. Of course they pay PAYE and council tax etc but the majority of their workers are on minimum wage.
  17. Who told you that? Jimmy Krankie?
  18. It's the BBC's own attempt at derailing the share issue. Plain and simple.
  19. There's an underclass alright...an underclass of tabloid journalists and hacks!
  20. The only ex-player I harbour any kind of grudge with is Andy Webster. He collected a wage and got the best of treatment from Rangers only to play a handful of games before going on to play just about every game for Dundee Utd and picking up a nomination for SPFA Player Of the Year! The guy's a fraud.
  21. Why waste time and energy hating on the boy? Good luck to him, he took advice and left while the club was in deep turmoil. I'll never understand the mentality of personal abuse directed at ex-players. They're not fans. It's a job to them.
  22. Jim Spence has gone into hiding.
  23. These words should be on every social network and forum we've got. Nobody can argue that it's not true after all.
  24. There you have it. In a nutshell why even well prepared and committed detractors will never tarnish our reputation. This is what our club is all about.
  25. If I had my way I'd outlaw supernatural voodoo worship tomorrow, so maybe you're right.
