  1. If people can just put their misguided preconceptions aside for a moment, it looks like a complete no brainer to vote for the kind of governance that the requisitioners are proposing. With transparency will come trust and with that restored then we can start to look at the future with a bit more positivity, I don't get the calls for McCollco to reveal future plans and investment figures. The first job is to get rid of the leeches who are sucking the life out of the club now. To be able to plan effectively they first have to understand just how much of a basket case they'd be inheriting.

  3. If there was any kind of journalistic integrity left in Scotland Peter Lawell would be in front of a camera explaining why a convicted violent thug has seemingly been rewarded by the club despite promises that those who so publicly shamed the club would be banned.
  4. Is it so hard just to take some responsibility for your fans actions? This constant persecution cry is tiresome now, thankfully the rest of the world don't fall for it anymore. Celtic and it's fans are being exposed for the rancid filth that they are with every passing incident. Maybe at some point the Scottish media will find the balls to report them as such soon...?
  5. If that doesn't get the author some Brownie points from Peter, nothing will. Crawling, sycophantic, spineless drivel.
  6. Hearts first, then Aberdeen and with any luck the whole shooting match would crumble around the SPFL's ears. To create you must first destroy etc.

  8. I think the short answer Frankie is NO. Culturally we're just different, we don't have the same chip on our shoulder as they do. We're not brought up to believe that if we lose at something then it's rigged but if we succeed it's because you're simply better than everybody else. That's the psychological horsepower that's driven those in positions of inlfuence to get there in the first place and once they have that influence there's no question that they'll use it for maximum gain for their own agenda. If you question it, you ,must be a bigot. They've been fighting a war while we've been enjoying a sport.
  9. I'm disappointed there's no bus trip :-( Had envisaged a boozed up magical mystery tour round Govan.
  10. Spot on Papa Bear, the point about playing our football when other leagues are on summer hols is a complete no brainer. We have a population of 60 million next door who would warm to Scottish Football if it was the only game on for those 6 long weeks without a fixture card. Good read on a Sunday morning Andy.

  12. The back page tomorrow should have the headline "Ally slaps £20m pricetag on wonderkid McLeod" Of course it won't A) because McCoist hasn't the first clue about how to hike the value of his payers and B) because even if McCleod was worth £20m the mhedia wouldn't print it if McCoist said it anyway.
  13. Their fans rioted in Amsterdam , attacked undercover cops putting some of them in hospital and the narrative is "they were mistreated"... Amazing spin doctoring. I wonder what the jail term is for being mistreated? Perhaps the half dozen or so of them still in jail in Holland might find out soon.
  14. It's a pity thye both can't lose. Oh wait...
  15. Context is all and the context is as follows: Champions of Scotland, Cash rich, Champions League playing Celtic hold their AGM and the CEO uses it as a platform to deride the club's oldest rivals against a back drop of rampant anti-British, anti-Rangers bigotry. Not only does he represent his club but he also holds a senior and powerful position in the governance of the sport in the country. The people who are so desperate to sign up souls to the flat earth society, no matter how credible or detached from reality take equal responsibility in my view but Peter Lawell must be held accountable. It's not as if he's a stupid man, he's masterminded Celtic's current healthy position. Given that, his role in the 5 way agreement must also be examined. Far from having a "stand alone" strategy, his business strategy seems to include marketing his own club to it's fan base by defending violent thuggery and whipping up an already tense rivalry with crass remarks contradicting his own organisations public and documented views. Rangers need to demand a full retraction and apology or launch a legal suit. If a link to the share price falling or stalling can be established then we'd have a clear case for corporate defamation. I'd also love to sit down with a qualified anti-competition lawyer and discuss what Peter's position and behaviour means under the new laws. The fine can be as much multiples of your turnover. That might wipe the perma-smirk off his fat chops!
  16. Somebody needs to sit him down and tell him to hit the bye line half a dozen times a half and put a decent ball in for Daly and Clark. He's trying to drift inside and beat two or three hammer throwing defenders who'll not just let him past them and in the leagues we've been in they generally get away with it. The old cliche of "if you're good enough, they can't get you" springs to mind though.
  17. Of course they are just pictures of soldiers in and around poppy fields but they are more for illustration purposes. High ranking US military personnel have admitted that their orders include protecting Afghan poppy crops from falling into the hands of the Taliban (who control 90+% of the heroin trade). The justification is that the crop is all the locals have got to keep them from absolute reliance on the Taliban and/or NATO aid. The global drug trade is estimated to be worth more than $100Bn per year, major financial institutions rely on the dirty cash cleaning revenue and it keeps tens of thousands of law enforcement people in the US and around the world in jobs. The fastest growing industry in the US is now privately operated prisons, many of which count Senators, ex White House advisers and politicians on their boards. In 40 years of the "War on Drugs" the supply has never been more abundant, the street / wholesale price has never been lower and the profits from criminalisation of drug addicts has never been higher. Add in Oil & Energy trade routes and you have a massively lucrative and desirable region to control.
  18. Afghan heroin production has risen 40% in the period since the US and UK have been on the ground. Street price has never been lower and quality has never been higher. #conspiracyloyal http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2012/10/14066.html
  19. I have no doubt that Celtic pleaded with Ross County and the match day police team to omit the minute's silence on Saturday. It's a grotesque game that Celtic play with their degenerate fans and the rest of the world, very rarely will they even criticise their own let alone throw them to the wolves of public opinion. To the guys who are not so enamored with Remembrance tributes I can only try to bring some perspective to the table, it need not be any more than 60 seconds of respect for dead people, is that too much to ask from ANY civilsied society? Rangers do it with a little more pomp and ceremony granted but it's always respectful. The worrying aspect of Celtic's defiance is that it's now become more than a simple act of respect, it's become a political and quasi-religious issue. the more they try to bury the dirty little secrets of their support the more they demonstrate that they have something to hide.
  20. Templeton was woeful, Lee Wallace made him look as if he was wearing cement boot, running past him time after time. Does he think he's too good to just hit the bye line and put a ball in? Maybe he thinks he's good enough to cut inside and beat three or four players and maybe he is but not since coming to Rangers. Big Mohsni is so entertaining, think he got MOTM. Well deserved.
