It's equally terrifying that there are fans prepared to accept sale and leaseback of our training ground, stadium and real estate to fund an incompetent board's asset stripping investors.

If RIFC can't pay the wages of the players & staff they will become insolvent regardless of whether they owe individual institutions money or not but don't kid yourself that there's no debt. The £1.5m loan to tide the club over will become due very soon (end June?) and who knows what may happen with Imran Ahmad's case? Not sure where you get the notion that we could be back in the bottom tier from...there's no mechanism for that happening providing we exit admin at some point and your point about King & the Murray's can be looked at from a number of different angles eg. every penny they use to acquire control is a penny they don't have to rebuild. If you can get something for nothing and use the money to revitalise it, why would you do anything else?

None of us are experts when it comes to football insolvency mate, best we can do is prepare for the eventuality and try to get as close to the facts as possible. You can't put a going concern into administration so the cash flow would have to come to a grinding halt before it'd be considered and then there are plenty opportunities to engage with someone like DK before you'd be placed into admin by a creditor. Plenty firms have gone into insolvency with potential investors on the sidelines...without any commitment to put money in DK would e under no obligation to bail them out and in fact it looks more and more likely that he's trying to head them off at the financial pass and force such an event.

The board don't have an investor prepared to do anything of the kind in fact they don't have any investors willing to put in anything contrary to the garbage spouted by Graham Wallace. Dave King sitting on the sidelines with a big bag of cash will have no bearing on whether or not we go into Admin, it may have a bearing on how we come out of it though.

I believe it's now a distinct possibility that we'll see an "insolvency event" happen this summer given the state of play with season tickets and potential concerns for the security of Ibrox and Murray Park. There are a number of questions this raises, not least of which is - Would this be the first or second insolvency event in the eyes of the SPFL? Would you accept this happening if it meant the parasitic shareholders and board cut and run? What would be Dave King's entry plan/opportunity should it occur? All very emotive stuff I know but I think we have to be realistic and say that it's at least a possibility.

I wonder how Rooney will cope with Van Gaal, someone who will demand 100% from him every game. Giving Rooney that contract will go down as one of the biggest howlers in football for me but if anyone can get something extra from him it's Van Gaal.

If the roles were reversed and Telfer left SPL Rangers to sign for Championship Dundee Utd, and presumably first team action, then I'd accept your point but as it stands the fact that we can't keep hold of a player deemed good enough for the first team in the SPL while we prepare for a season playing QOTS and Alloa tells me all I need to know.

No I don't and I'm one of the very few who do think that way it seems. They did what they saw fit to do for themselves....they weren't fans, they were employees under contract and when that contract became worthless they were entitled to walk away. Rather than point fingers at them, I'd be happier looking at the reasons behind the situation getting to that point at all. In regards Telfer, it's a whole different set of circumstances but the basic premise remains... if the conditions and prospects for staying at Rangers were there he wouldn't need to consider signing for another club.

I can't bring myself to criticise the kid Frankie, he's only doing what's best for him and his career and that's the worrying part. If it's better for a young player to leave Rangers for a club in a higher league in order to get game time then there's a problem. If, as Efideldo is accurate, "broken promises, opportunity and the type of football he was expected to play" are the reasons then our football coaching has failed.

Now, does anyone still want to jump to the defense of our management team and coaches?

It seems myself and Super Cooper are in the same predicament regarding imminent nuptials. I'm doing the deed on the 24th August and then off for a European road trip for 10 days so anytime after about the 6th Sept suits me fine. We could even have a wee double celebration toast to ourselves. You like Bucky SC? -
Izaguirre was touted as POTY and another £10m plus transfer target for Europe's elite. To be fair he's been rubbish lately and has struglled with injury. My point is that his manager and fans big their players up to the point of hysteria while Ally does his best to turn them into wooden caricatures of footballers.

He's on a par with Izaguirre his compatriot for Honduras and look at his career trajectory compared to Peralta. Make of that what you will.

It'll play out like the tawdry, clandestine monopoly game that it is. The PLC board will try to realise as much money as possible from their shareholding either through a sale, share issue or via mortgaging off of assets, until that time they'll hoodwink the fans into thinking they're here for anything other than that and that great things like ahead as long as the fans keep parting with their money. The money that attracted them to the table in the first place and is the only motivation in their continued interest in a football business. Business with high turnovers, committed customers and who are in financial difficulty are the holy grail of "turnaround specialists" and speculators looking to make a quick (3-5 year timescale) buck. Everything else is just a by product of the above. The football is way down the list of priorities, the challenge of competing with a dominant Celtic is not taken seriously as by the time questions are asked, your Laxey's Blue Pitches and Margarita's will be long gone, selling their shareholding to either us the fans or a n other wealthy individual for a tidy nett profit and after having made a fortune from brokering sponsorship, security, catering, merchandise contracts for themselves and their pals.

Hard to criticise the boy, he wants to play football and he'll not get much of that where he is. -

It doesn't really matter which players you bring in, they'll be coached by McCoist & Co and after a promising start in pre-season and the first few games they'll start to drop a pace or two and fall into line with the coaching that they're given. Distribution is dreadful, players are taking far too long to decide who to pass to and that's mostly because nobody around them is screaming for the ball or offering an option because they don't really want it. They'd rather not have the responsibility of taking the game to the opposition like they do to us every week. That's got to be down to the coaching. -

You're wasted on here BH, you really should be host of The X Factor or something...the sense of anticipation, the organisation and the drama is better than anything Simon Cowell could come up with. -

I felt terribly sorry for Andy Little when McCoist gave an interview saying that he had NO strikers at one point even though Andy had been banging in a few goals and had played up front for NI. The best striking right back we ever had -
I think it's best we leave the insults to others... Cheers - Frankie
