A quality striker like Cristiano Lucarelli will run rings around any plausable centre back pairing we could put out tomorrow. It's not pessimistic, it's a fact. Did I say we'd get beat? How do you know I don't think we'll win 4-2? All I said was that especially with our bother at the back, coming up against a quality striker is the last thing we need. We can hardly handle Graham Bayne never mind anything else.

Not this week anyway. Lucarelli is scoring 2 against us on Thursday, mark my words.

Fair play to them..

See, that third goal was absolutely lovely. Anyone who thinks we're even close to Celtic is off their rocker. We're lucky to only be 10 points behind this lot. Let's not get carried away by tonight though, Benfica are a shadow of the force they have been in recent years.

Bloody Manuel's.

You respect your rivals even if you dislike them.. unlike some. Nudge nudge, wink wink.

Don't you already?

"You'll Never Walk Alone" - why do Celtic sing it?
Beattie replied to ascender's topic in General Football Chat
They don't claim to sing it first, it's well known it's a Liverpool song. Celtic aren't the only mob who sing it either. Not as often, but you'll hear renditions of it from the likes of Ipswich, AEK Athens and even Ajax and Feyenoord, to name a few. -
You know.. a Tim mate of mine and I had a long running joke when it was announced they were signing Kenny Miller in the summer. "Unlucky mate, he's shite!" "He's scored in every Champions League game he's started in, you know!" "Oh aye, how many's that?" "1 game, one goal". Shame it's 3 starts, 3 goals now, really. Looks credible. 1-0. Edit: Make that 2-0. Watching Celtic, they are so many leaps and bounds ahead of us it in UNREAL.

Shite players don't start World Cup finals.

One thing that gets me about the whole Gattuso thing. People lambast Dick for getting rid of him etc. But there's no way in hell he would of went on to become the player he is today if he'd of stayed at Rangers.

Luckily Hollyoaks is on at 6.30 and dosen't conflict with the football

Was watching the build-up to the footy tonight and old Richard Keys was talking to McCallister, Wilkins and Platt and they were all talking about how they'd heard Chelsea had Barthez as good as signed. Crazy for me. Cudicini will be back as soon as next week and this Hilario fella is there. I know Cech is out for a year, but still. To me, it screams Jose saying: "I'm doing this because my 'keepers are in danger and hwo knows when I'll lose another? We will be signing one goalkeeper every week until Petr is back." Not the last part, obviously..
-
Hilario will be in goal. Chelsea are about to sign Barthez aswell.
-
They've both been fucking diabolical and resemble thugs who think they're better than what they are more than genuine decent footballers.

It's possible he said what he said about Rangers, got a backlash from it and backed out and said this, or it's a possibility he never said it at all. We'll never know.

If Letizi is dropped after that howler, it'll just remind people of that stupid Eck decision on dropping Klos after one game back just because he made one error.
-
There's already a thread the EXACT same as this. This place is so un-organised.

1-0 to the Manuel's.

I thought the whole "Chelski" drivvel was funny when Abrahmovic first started splashing teh cash but it's worn thin now. I see a draw tonight.
-
Having been out so long he'll lilkely get a good couple of reserve games then start on the bench in the first team in a couple of weeks.
-
I think this is exactly what's happened.
-
Well we're not gonna hope he plays badly are we?
-
I highly doubt Murray was responsible for an irresponsible news story. Just because everyone here see's Murray as the devil incarnate, dosen't mean everything that dosen't go our way is down to him. I'm suprised people haven't accused Murray of shouting on Letizi causing him to fumble the ball against Caley.

I don't like Hampden one bit. I would of loved the National Stadium to be more atmospheric in the sense that I wanted the stands to be steep so the fans are basically on top of the action, nice and close. Like Ibrox, or Bayern's stadium.
