  1. Chick Young maths. 2+2 = 1357. I do not look forward to suffering him and his delusions of intelligence for another season
  2. The Beeb had a strange one around midday. "Won't be decided until after tomorrow's match. " They've now got the proper story. Bizarre or what? Goes to show the lengths they will go to. We must watch our singing! I would use this to fire the guys up tomorrow.
  3. This is all quite surreal. You would almost think that the Record wants us out of Europe. Did Sellik lose at the weekend or something, or are they just odds on to go out of Europe tomorrow? Talk about deflection - with a twist of bitters. What's the rest of the press saying? Been website OK actually, as is Metro.
  4. Not for me thanks. He was quite iconic for photos but was a loose cannon and didn't set the heather alight on the pitch.
  5. Precedent set here that would appear to castrate the forthcoming Bill. Same offence - different legislation. Interesting times.
  6. Above letter and that prat McGobblegiver's tweet should be in the hands of all the media by tomorrow. That's the real story. Pitiful, bitter and very unpatriotic.
  7. Heard that too. But it was violent conduct anyway, and he was extremely stupid. I would fine him the pay rise he just got. Just joking. Bit bizarre for UEFA to take national games into the equation. Might bite them in the bum. They've set a precedent. Why should Rangers players play for Scotland, risk a sending off for it be reflected in a club ban????
  8. I was just about to post the same quote as chilledbear. The big story here should not be about us. The big story should be that Celtic fans should actively seek to ruin Scotland's coefficient. Have these twats got such little foresight that they can't see that ALL Scottish clubs will be damaged without as many coefficient points this season? And that it's in Celtic's interest that Rangers get a good run this season? And vice versa? Corinthian spirit my arse. Bitter twisted morons. BTW. I think there's nothing in this. I think we played it by the book and we'll be OK
  9. So did I. Never mind. Happy we won and are starting to look better.
  10. Half of what we hear about bids we have made is lies - the other half just isn't true. I'm led to believe that we didn't make any bids for Goodwillie as of Tuesday afternoon. Also, Boogie is desperate to leave - and will very soon. Panic not - just over a month left - we will get players in. On our terms. I'm more worried about Malmo on Tuesday at present.
  11. Spot on Frankie. My take entirely.
  12. Well, that was dire. And I don't see it getting better. MOTM was McGregor. If not for him it could have been 4 or 5. Whittaker was abysmal. Actually I struggle to think which outfield player got pass marks. Maybe Wallace.
  13. Looks like we more or less agree that it's CH x 2, Midfield x 2, and a striker. And I loved some of the descriptions about the midfielders. However, that kind of player does not come cheap. Don't get me wrong, I hope we get a couple, but you don't get good ones under 7 or 8 million.
  14. More worrying for me is what formation he will start against Malmo.
  15. Ian's link shows what this is all about. Why are we getting hammered in all this debate? Why not the pubs, or the supermarkets who sell the booze that fuels the violence? Or the failings of society to address issues such as domestic abuse, knife crime etc. It's far too simplistic to blame football for every social problem that happens on a weekend that Rangers are playing Celtic. It really pisses me off that everyone is getting away with this misrepresentation. And the sooner that the media, and in particular the Beeb are brought to task the better. Their role in this sorry farce is despicable. All in the name of selling news space. We don't need any of them - they need us.
  16. Well, first of all, the league's not been won and lost today. From our point of view it was a game of two halves. We weren't at the races in the first one. This game has me thinking. What could we serve up without Davis? Precious little in my opinion. Thought we looked so much better when he was in the middle. But we need one more like him. Someone else to pose a threat in the middle and create things. Big Jig creates zero. However, thought Edu looked good today. Ortiz is an enigma. Personally I wouldn't play him on the left. He's too predictable, and he keeps cutting in. Maybe, he's a better right back? Talking of which, Whittaker needs a couple of games on the bench. He really needs to give more - thought he was poor today. Thought Wylde was good when he came on. Anyway, long and the short, we really need to up our game on Tuesday. Big time.
  17. Well, Coisty needs to face his first challenge as manager, and get this team sorted out and motivated during the break.
  18. That's me signed up too. Never tried it before.
  19. Agree with Gribz about the back 4. Whittaker looked solid there at the end of last season. I also think Broadfoot is a better back than a centre half. I would still have Edu in there instead of Wylde. Bring on Wylde at the 60 minute mark.
  20. Real bit of wise business I think. The lad has got huge potential - and honestly, it's the area that we most need strengthened. Well done all.
  21. I wondered why there's been a nice feeling these past five or six weeks. It's because this erse has been quiet. Is he not near retiring? The man's a buffoon.
  22. Yeps - agreed that looked like a good run out. Likewise, first time I've seen a full game this pre-season. Think we'll be fine this season. Looking forward to a nice run in the CL and number 55.
  23. Young guns are looking good. So is Broadfoot.
  24. Managed to find a feed eventually. Agree with most here. Think we're looking good. We'll get better game by game now. Did anyone notice the Premier Sports Live plug that the first two CL legs are excessive to them?
