  1. I agree with GovanAllan. Ourselves.
  2. Well, if you want the official channel, you write in to Radio Clyde. They vet the complaint, then send it on to BBC Scotland. They then vet the complaint, and, in conjunction with the rest of the media, send a complaint about gross sectarian behaviour on our part to every pussy-footed organisation that they can think of - or have dreamt up. Obviously including the SPL and the SFA. I'm sure Lafferty's heading for a 10 match ban for diving with sectarian intent and being punched with a religiously motivated intention of acceptance.
  3. Apparently not - the Marshal of the Soviet Union reckons they were "on top like that in Europe." Quite delusional. Udinese brought on a couple of first team players in the second half - stlll didn't have a recognised striker - and the Muppets were huffing, puffing and struggling. What's the odds that's the only point they get from this group?
  4. Did you not mean 30 seconds? I'm thinking back to half way through last season!!
  5. As a wee lift for today, some horrific scenes of drug-induced hallucinations from KDS. I watched that game, and quite honestly, first half, both teams were dire. Never at any stage did Celtic look like they belonged in that competition. ------------------- First-team starter Posts:1,030Group:MembersMember#1,727Joined:30 July 2005 ---------- Overall I was very impressed last night, we showed real commitment and effort throughout the team. There were no bad performers, hell even Vaseline Head put in a good showing. The midfield diamond was very effective and the 2 strikers put in a great shift, I look forward to Bangura actually getting a goal scoring chance. The lack of consistence does bother me though, why did we not play like that against St Johnstone, ICT or the manky mob (2nd half). Hopefully we can kick on from here and give the minis a right good doing. Getting noticed in the reserves Posts:60Group:MembersMember#25,626Joined:25 February 2010 Was good going along to a euoropean game again, even if I did need a half day for it. Team was different than I was expecting but thought over 90mins we were excellent. Defence was solid for the most part and the passing and movement up front was much, much better. The signs of improvement were there and hopefully we can take that forward into Sunday. Impressed by alot of the younger guys; Matthews, Wanyama and Forrest played really well. Although he only played one half I think Ledley should get a mention. Asked to play out of position again and he never complains and always gives everything - the Anti-Tevez if you will! Now bring on the Mini's! _______________ Marshal of the Soviet Union Posts:3,195Group:Snr. Their's was never a penalty. Got a point should've been three. Loved the harmony from the GB and north stand to the JS with come on you bhoys in green
  6. Not the first time - won't be the last. Unfortunately, Beattie was a charlatan, and took a lot wothout giving anything. But there again, also not the first time - won't be the last. Good for us we're shot of him.
  7. As the eternal forum thicko, can anyone tell me what the column C/S mean or stand for in the league standings?
  8. What a difference now. Too much quality - Ally will have to use his wits to keep everyone happy. We still need options up front though.
  9. We'll just have to see what happens at Tynecastle. My sneaking position is that their next fixture - at Rugby Park - will be a banana skin for them. Expect Killie to turn them over.
  10. Not me. I read the articles on forums. Haven't bought a paper since they stopped using them for wraopping fish and chips. Matter of principle. That was the last decent thing they were used for.
  11. Are there any confirmed sources for this story? No - I thought so. Journalism has decended to the level of "A guy in the pub told me that ....." Anyway, I think we have entered a new era and if anyone does get sold, it will certainly not be on the cheap. Still think this is a non-story. A mischievous stocking-filler.
  12. Excellent statement and would agree that the "No Surrender" bit is inappropriate. Keep up the great work. What bizarre times we live in. A water bottle is deemed more of a security hazard than flying seats, flares and smoke bombs. Even more bizarre is the Government bringing in legislation - primarily directed at Celtic and Rangers - to protect people from being offended at football matches. Then we have the two sets of bitter rivals saying "Eh, no thanks, we're not offended, we don't want it!" You just couldn't make this up.
  13. He's not a Boyd in two ways. He doesn't score as many goals, but he puts in a pile of work and is good for the team. He's got a fair amount of assists too.
  14. Ah! I get it. Because lawyers are morally impeccable characters of sound judgement, all vested with an unsurpassed knowledge of the game. Aye - right! Total madness. What's wrong with a referee?
  15. So far, we all seem to be in agreement. Naisy was out of order, and deserved to be punished. The Compliance Officer bit is total crap. In this day and age, there should be total transparency. Are we trying to say that an unknown person, with unknown credentials should be judge and jury and his/her verdict be accepted by us all - who incidentally keep the SFA/SPL in business by paying our hard earned dosh to attend football matches. Who's to say they didn't ask Kim Jong-il or Muammar Gaddafi to make a determination? Are we allowed to know who this unknown person is? Piece of piss, if you ask me, and not far removed from the old SFA way of doing things. Actually, I don't see any difference, apart from deference, if you get my drift. What sticks in my craw is the fact that Hooper got off scott free for a similar, and arguably more severe offence. That tells me that, apart from a lack of transparency, there is an urgency within the SFA to deal with issues that are raised within the media, and disregard anything that is not "on the radar." This isn't uncommon in public bodies - in fact it's modus operandi. That then leads us into the realms of how much (or how little - just a joke) the media play a role in all of this. I distinctly remember the lack of media attention regarding the Hooper incident. I'm reminded of the laughable issue of Corinthian spirit. What I see today is a single-minded attempt - purely for economic purposes - to win by fair means or foul. As far as I'm concerned, I would be quite happy to drop all this Old Firm pretence. Let's go to England at the lowest tier, and let them stew in their own mire. They might even reinvent themselves as quintessentially Scottish. The way they are behaving, they don't want competition unless they win. To sum up, once again, Naisy deserved his punishment. I don't deny that. What is lacking, however, is an even playing field. And we are never going to get that. I don't look forward to the latter stages of this league campaign.
  16. Not being overtly critical, but I've never rated Jig. No matter where he's played.
  17. The lad has shown some improvement in two years. I thought he was never going to live up to his promise. Now amongst our three most influential players, alongside Greegs and Davis. Ouch! And Goian!
  18. Is he not just using the floodlights to make one of those funny animal shadows?
  19. Very symbolic. That's one seat for every goal we should have scored. Was this not caught on CCTV? No - I thought so.
  20. I've got a day off today. Just as well, as I'm pretty hungover today. What a party yesterday was! Having a quiet day on the sofa, I've watched the game again. What a gubbing!
  21. Just had another wee look at KDS. Half of them have actually capitulated. New manager, rebuild etc etc. A few more dropped points and this will get really interesting. We were all NL for a few months! LOL.
  22. Zappa, you're spot on. It should have been dealt with in a much better way. So agreed. I still can't get my head around what kind of new management we have here, and if they are good - or bad - from our perspective. We appear to have so many issues to face just now. If CW gets over all of these, one, I'll be amazed, and two, I'll truly take my hat off to the man, because, I can't recall any owner ever having to face this kind of threat.
  23. Agree with you broadly here Zappa, but agree also with CW in that Bain has a gross cheek. He was well aware of, and was party to some very bad management decisions over the past few years, and - according to the leaked documents, and the sequestering - is apparently quite happy to quote the consequences of those bad decisions as his reasons for the Club being in a dicey postion. We really can't blame CW for that. And now Bain wants £1.3m. Now,Ii don't know how that equates for you guys, but, that's not far off a lifetime's earnings for me. Fair enough, I don't live in Drymen, and fair enough, I would never want to, but this prat fills me with loathing. Despicable person. Six months ago, when he was on the gravy train, he was spouting off about how he was "Rangers till I die" - now he is quite happy to screw the club as long as he can get his bumper payoff. On a side issue, part of his claim is for a European qualification bonus for Europe this year and next. He's lost out on this year, and I wouldn't bet on next year. Question is, does he not feel content with the money he has made out of the Club already? He's a moneygrabber. Not a Rangers man. Full stop.
  24. Quite honestly time to reciprocate. In spades.
  25. Great work - thanks Barry. site is really responsive. Have the "thanks" buttons etc gone for good??
