  1. Happy with any one TBH. But I'll go for 2-1 for the Gers. Davis and Healy.
  2. Thanks dB. Don't honestly know what to think just now. CW's certainly more forthcoming with info than past masters. Just dubious as to the veracity of the info. And I'm still in doubt about CW's motives. However, I'm open to persuasion, and I guess we must just wait to see what unfolds in the end game, which is soon. Oh yes, and I'm so up for winning this league. This would be the cherry on the top. The one to remember forever.
  3. Sick people. Sick times.
  4. Of course I wish him the best. He was never a true Blue. Was always wanting to move on. He was apparently like that at Rapid too. Good player. But needs to have Another dimension to his game. Fighting for the cause. He may come to realise what he's lost but there again, maybe his prime motivation is self interest. Anyway, hope he does well.
  5. If we win the league, I can't wait to see Timmy's face. And Chico's. We have been written off. Not beyond the realms you know Beat them home and away and get on a long winning run as of now. You just never know .....
  6. I guess I'm as shell-shocked as most and need time to take this all in. However, one thing that is being missed is the timing (last day of transfer window) of the DR exposé. I for one don't see that as pure coincidence. Given Timmy's pre-knowledge, I see it as nothing short of premeditated sabotage. Also, given a 5 pager yesterday and supposedly a 7 pager tomorrow, I see the whole thing as grotesquely out of proportion. This kind of media attention wasn't even given to RBS - and there were real financial journalists investigating that. This all seems so surreal. Now, I'm worried for Rangers, but don't think the fan base will ever disappear. However, as far as things look at present, we may between a rock and a hard place. But there certainly seems to be a lck of sympathy out there. Schadenfreude in abundance, but sympathy for the fans? Nope.
  7. I thought he bought that years ago? Anyway, it'll never make money in this day and age. It never did. White elephant - half of it's empty. Don't see him taking us over again.
  8. As a matter of interest, how's his companies doing nowadays? Anyone know for sure? Thought he was in dire straits a wee while back? If nothing's changed, how on earth is going to make a comeback?
  9. I really can't see anything sinister here. If there was, you could bet your bottom dollar that half of Scotland wouldn't get to know.
  10. Agreed. The guy is quality. Should be for a few years yet too!
  11. We should have seen this all along. There was never going to be 5 or 6 million on the table. Best bet would be a few hundred thousand and the wages from Davie Weir and whoever else leaves. The lack of CL money has left a big black hole.
  12. We were though.
  13. As in "Houston, we have a problem?"
  14. Aye Gazza - point taken Both are true. However, they've been winning. We've been dropping points by the odd goal (or two). Point I was making is that it wouldn't have taken that many goals from us to have made a big difference in points. Take Saturday against the sheep as a good example.
  15. Back to point, even 5 or 6 goals from recent misses would have probably meant 9 points or more.
  16. Ha-ha! That's what I meant with the five-pager reference. Nothing like Bazza or Boydy to get a forum's adrenalin pumping! Least it's not a tax-case or administration thread!
  17. I've very recently had a change of mind. Now I know that he was an out and out goals scorer, but I always saw him as lazy and at times it was like playing with ten men. However, if we look at the number of misses in recent times (including Jelavic) I'm of the opinion that Boydy would have buried 10 or 15 of those. What difference would that have made? How many points? I don't see us being linked with anyone better at goal grabbing? Why don't we get him in until the end of the season and take it from there? Especially if Jelavic is off. Five pager now ..... EDIT: took out the loan reference. Thanks Metlika.
  18. A lot of questions - and at present no answers. When this is all over, we'll still be no wiser. Just more questions with no answers. Does my nut in.
  19. In theory, we could compete anywhere. The crux of the issue however is the squad and the management team. That's what creates success. Look at "big" teams like Wolves, WBA, (until recently) Man City and Newcastle. Spurs as well. The squad and management are crucial. Crowds of 50k to 60k doesn't guarantee success.
  20. At times I can honestly see very compelling reasons for not going down a fan ownership route.
  21. I wish him all the best and say thanks for the great memories and for being a truly inspirational captain.
  22. Not to forget Ally!
  23. Don't think there's a conspiracy. It might be that there are better options as regards having a coordinated team. You can never tell when you buy a player if he will fit in. You can hope, but never be 100%. We've had lots of players who've taken a long time to settle. I can think of Naisy for one.
  24. The jury has reached their decision. Wallet and fountain pen out, Mr Whyte.
