This is sounding very dodgy to me. Seems like there is a lot of dosh that's disappeared into a black hole. Firstly, if this correct, no matter where it's gone, is this legal? Secondly, is it ring fenced for the Club, or has it gone whoosh offshore? Seems to stress more than ever the need to see some accounts for the period prior to and since the takeover. Do the administrators have a duty to provide this, and is there any point in chasing this up? One positive is that I can't conceive of the administrators being party to any illegality. Are these guys in the business of meeting with fans groups to discuss matters of mutual interest? Perhaps they need to keep us on board? Lots of questions - sorry I don't have answers.

Gersnet Predictions League - in association with Clydesdale Bank

Do we all get deducted 10 points now? -
In this world, Sky News just referred (and quite correctlly) to us as being the "most titled club in the world." I'd like to see that remain as fact in the parallell universe that I think I'm living in.
-
All very laudable. I would willingly chip in. But not if CW is at the helm.

Can I get a seat for two please?

Gazza - with humility, I stand corrected.

The disasters were worse days by far. Friends lost their lives. Families lost their loved ones. Perspective here.

Interesting Dutchy. Superstring and hyperspace theory lends credibility to the fact that - out there - there is a parallel universe where the Rangers are acclaimed as being the best ever team in existence, with world beating superstars such as player of the year Kirk Broadfoot, Messi, Iniesta and Jeffers. Our income from Sky Sports is staggering. Of course, Celtic don't see any of this, as they play in West Region Central Division Two.

"Don't worry about a thing - 'Cause every little thing gonna be alright." Heidegger had it sussed. Philosophy, and society as a whole, is preoccupied with what it is that exists. His belief was that we find ourselves "always already" fallen into a world that already existed. But he insisted that we had forgotten the basic question of what it is to exist, of what being itself is. This question defines our central nature. He argued that we are practical agents, caring and concerned about our projects in the world, and allowing it to reveal, or "unconceal" itself to us. He came to believe that our proactive interference and manipulation of reality is often harmful and hides our true being as essentially limited participants, not masters, of the world which we discover. By this, I assume that we may morph into a porn site - albeit with fundamental Protestant values ( I'll get my head around that yet) or a dating site (which would certainaly marginalise Frankie) or a forum discussing existentialism. Or maybe we'll still be here moaning about why we missed out on the 60th league title. My money's on the the latter.

Bit strange to me too. Are we looking to make up 15 points between now and the end of the season? Hardly. More like this administration thing is an end game ploy. And I might be wrong - again.

Not with little sarcasm, that doesn't surprise me one little bit. I've been thinking more and more that we were being taken for a ride. Refer back to post #125.

No Craig. But I'll ask around tomorrow. Just trying to add a wee bit of humour to a horrible day. But once again, I make the point that the Rangers are worth nothing, zilch, nada - without the continued support of their fan base. How can future season ticket sales be mortgaged if it's not clear that the future season tickets will be bought? What's not to say that future season ticket sales could be dependant on certain criteria being met by the management, such as clarity and accounts being made available regularly. The fans have (and should take) a pivotal role in the coming months. And by the way, I'm not suggesting fan ownership. My opinion is that fan ownership would be the most destructive thing to happen to our Club. I can see a brighter future ahead if cards are played properly - but that depends on how we allow things to pan out. I'm very pissed that our good name and our honour is at stake here - if we have any left.

The lack of accounts is a major concern, and I believe that we must still see some kind of audited accounts for the last year. Following on from my earlier posts, I sensed this coming. The game plan should now be that nothing be decided without the approval of the fan base. WE are the revenue stream, and WE can decide whether to support any future management/ownership or not. It is impossible for anyone to operate the Club without our financial clout, and it follows, our approval. Time for all of our factions to join together unanimously? Anyone for a Season Ticket Members Alliance?

FSA Limitations Placed on Pritchard Stockbrokers
bluebear54 replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Darthter, I'm well aware of that. Like most, I don't have any easy answers - if I did, I would share them. Agreed, Whyte did take it on. I just have serious misgivings as to why he took it on. He doesn't come across as a philanthropist. He comes across as someone who wants to get rich and doesn't seem to have any qualms about how he goes about it. I was essentially pointing out that the fan base is a key element to all of this. -
FSA Limitations Placed on Pritchard Stockbrokers

Am I totally misguided in needing some clarity on what is going on with our Club? If - and I say IF - CW is the biggest mistake to ever happen to us, and if we have have doodlesuat to say about where we are going, surely, the one remaining factor we have is our fan base and our future revenue streams, including season ticket sales - which ARE things that we are in control of. I note that VB appear to be happy with CW's tenure after their last chinwag with CW. I also note that RST are also having a pow-wow this week. Will that bring further clarity? I doubt it. Seems to me that CW can pull the wool over the eyes of the best of them. VB and RST should be simple for him compared to the FSA and suchlike. Now I might be wrong, but I cannot fathom why CW is not proactively making clear his plans for Rangers, and why there is no AGM or accounts forthcoming. This present situation cannot continue. The Club at present is tainted by association, and will never shake off that association until CW is gone. Sorry, but that's the way I see it. We need new ownership, and a new Board, all made up of honourable souls who have the interests of the business and the Rangers at heart. As I said, our only card is the fan base and the revenue stream that generates. Without us, the Rangers are nothing. Somebody please tell me I'm misguided and explain why. -
Dave King removed from the board of directors

CW clearing the decks is my take on things too. Also ties in with no significant player purchases (only loans) and a few other things such as the AGM being continually postponed A ten point deduction in this season (quick in and quick out) would also still leave us second placed and still in with a shout of the CL next season. Far better to have admin this season than next. Might be wrong but everything I'm seeing points to admin. I would hope that post admin would bring in some professional board members, but the jury's out as far as this Bear is concerned. -

Alistair Johnston to begin insolvency case against Rangers

I'm coming around to having an extremely negative view of CW. Given his previous, and the fact the Ellis is involved, I can see assets being shifted, and us shafted. Don't trust AJ either. He's shown more interest in the Club in the past two weeks than he ever did when he was Chairman. Think we're between the proverbial rock and the hard place. -

Rangers owner Craig Whyte may have lied in court case
bluebear54 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Agree here in that I can't see a Government sponsored agenda. However Zappa's mention of recent timings brings me back to the reignition of the anti-Rangers/CW last Tuesday - on the final day of the transfer window. In my book, that wasn't coincidence, and was timed to hurt Rangers most. I'm sure it didn't make it any easier to attract any players nor get a better deal for them. Traynor was well aware of that as were Chico and the hacks at the Beeb. -
BH, you also forgot that, in that scenario, there will be a deluge of "offended taxpayer" complaints to HMRC and all and sundry. Plus another media frenzy. But never mind, I see that Traynor's offered to bring his fag packet along and teach CW the finer details of corporate finance. "Well, with so much going on he can't be expected to remember everything although if he wants another look at the relevant documents I'll be happy to help out." We're saved. By the way, can anyone tell me why this deal with Ticketus is so outrageous, yet an overdraft for the same amount (secured against future income) isn't. Am I missing something?

Good if he met with VB. I would hope that what came out of it is shared sensitively. Otherwise it will be twisted and used by the media for tomorrow's witch burning. -

Two wrongs never make a right Ian. However, no matter what side of the fence you sit on with regards to CW, this is a witch hunt and media feeding frenzy of unprecedented proportion. I do note that the articles are peppered with words like "alleged", "claimed" and "was said to". That to me speaks volumes. Surely the Beeb themselves must have some view on whether BBC Scotland's media assassination of Rangers is either within their remit or is in the wider interest of the Scottish game. For example, the commentary yesterday was a disgrace. Countless innuendoes about Rangers problems and the state they were in. Most laughable about this is that it is spearheaded by football hacks whose legal, business and financial acumen wouldn't stretch to filling the back of a fag packet. -
Craig Whyte Q&A with Tom English in Scotland on Sunday 05/02/12
bluebear54 replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
I don't think it's in Rangers interests to have every sordid bit of laundry washed in public. I'm not saying that it wouldn't be helpful to get some answers, but I have NEVER known such prolonged public scrutiny of a company in my life. I'm sure a meeting could be set up with CW. Without any hacks there. -
Let's be optimistic. Could be another Aluko.
