  1. The guy is a waste of space. No dignity, no morality. I would like him totally erased from our history. No pictures, portraits, not even a mention within the history of the Club. We should be grateful that he's not able to pay the alimony out of our coffers. I take it he is receiving nada from us ar present?
  2. I think a well composed letter to UEFA explains the conflict of interest is on the cards. Just in the interests of sporting integrity.
  3. I can't help thinking that we are witnessing a perfect storm scenario. I don't think this is generated by CFC. I think this is the rest of the SPL manoeuvring so that they can get their vote to change the SPL voting structure. Quite dangerous. Almost certain we will get some serious sanctions down the line.
  4. You're too quick for me. Was just going to post the same thought. They only need us when it suits them. Possibility here that CFC and their fans in particular have screwed up big time. If the 10 get their way, Scottish football will change drastically - not necessarily for the better.
  5. And a laugh is what we're all needing these days.
  6. Who's doing the due diligence this time? Hope it's someone who's good for a change.
  7. I would think it would be quite straightforward. Something like "If you're suggesting that civic Scotland should subsidise shysters like you or Craig Whyte, I'm afraid you're barking up the wrong tree, pal. However should his Eminence, the Emir of Qatar, see fit to invest in RFC, we would be fully supportive of any positive business plan to maintain the position of RFC as the most successful Club in Scottish football."
  8. So Adam says shite and Murray says sugar. Would love to get them both on a witness stand because somebody is lying. The threat of perjury is great leveller.
  9. I've been having problems too. Also, I've got pretty big Gersnet logos beside all the post headings. Never used to have that and it makes the interface a lot messier. Is this something I've inadvertently done? Any ideas?
  10. Did I hear correctly that Jeff Randall said "as a supporter of the Club?"We need all the friends we can get these days.
  11. Second verse ..... Chick Young had a treble ..... Chick Young had a treble .... Na na na na .... Na na na na or a third verse ... Killie fucked your huddle .... Killie fucked your huddle .... Na na na na .... Na na na na We could go on. As mentioned previously, I'm enjoying this little bit of schadenfreude.
  12. I was waiting to hear the post match interview. I knew there would be a close call between financial doping due it the Killie debt, ineligible players, or cheating referees. The referee one was first past the post. Well done Killie. You realise you'll get done for singing that song that SO offends their sensibilities. They don't like it up 'em - or so they would have us believe.
  13. It's quite shocking that they can be saying that CW is not fit and proper, then wanting to punish the Club for his actions - since he was totally in control of the Club. Surely the Club has a robust defence? There are a lot of issues at play here, but one major one is the desire - as I see it - for the smaller 10 SPL clubs to change the voting rules, with all the changes that will engender down the line (redistribution of gate receipts, TV money etc.) I don't quite think Celtic have fully sussed this one out yet, because they will essentially see their power, and eventually income, diminished. Back to the charges, I'm not optimistic about what sanctions may be invented. Monetary ones are neither here nor there as we're in administration. I fear there will be something more sinister. But we must defend this rigorously. I do believe that the SFA and the SPL failed in their duty to ensure that we were run by a fit and proper person - despite their posturing otherwise.
  14. Probably the name. They need rebranded. "The Americans" is a much more "now" name.
  15. Great news. SFA/SPL start inquiries on the back of newspaper statements by an ex director. I'm waiting for the now to stop the inquiries because of the media statements by the former Chairman. Won't hold my breath.
  16. Old news. IIRC, administrators are de facto administrators at present, and will have their appointment rubber stamped on Monday. Mischief making I think. Remember that almost every Tom Dick and Harry reckons this is the season for daily scare stories to boost media sales, etc. All the other Tim, Dick and Harrys want to put every scare story out there and hope their wildest dreams come true. Which they won't. After this blows over, there are a few debts to settle and a few wrongs to right. Things won't be the same again.
  17. I'm wondering why he decided to finally make a statement and why now? Seems coincidental.
  18. Seems to me that the BK bid is highly leveraged. And when it's highly leveraged that means the Club is highly leveraged. We have yet to have any clarity of intentions from anyone - let alone the BK. My spider senses says this is another stitch up, one way or another. The gullible part of me is waiting to hear some good news.
  19. Agreed. A survey on a flyer. Main point is you're targeting Bears, as opposed to online, where you don't know what you get.
  20. Ha-ha! Most likely. It's been another emotional day. But the flyers as opposed to an online thing is valid.
  21. Zappa I wasn't suggesting on online thing. I've done more than a few surveys and understand their restrictions. I do believe that, given the present situation, some fundamental good could come out of one. A flyer handed out at each entrance on match day would go a long way.
  22. Thanks Frankie I hope you're right about progress. My point was not about consensus. To be honest, that will never exist on any issue. All you get is a 45% for 35% against, 20% undecided scenario, but at least it's measurable and that's the important thing. It's not on the whim of a few. On the subject of sores, we may find that a real consultation will give us some answers too.
  23. My own opinion is similar. However, my opinion is neither here nor there. We really do need to know what our fans think and have a credible evidence base.
  24. I’m not the only Bear who is grumbling in his den tonight, not understanding the devastating changes in my neck of the woods, and bewildered by the conflicting arguments about the future - which range from Armageddon to Utopia. Arguments about the validity of the Save Rangers Scheme, disagreements about the purpose of the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund, distrust of people leading some of these initiatives – they’re all in full flow. Then we have opposing opinions about the validity of the Blue Knights, a far Eastern interest (the resurrected Leggo suggests that that interest is not much further east than the City Centre), an American interest, fan groups,Ticketus, Craig Whyte, David Murray the last Board, … well, we could go on! I see that some forums – including this one (although –as is usual – in a more modified manner) are being split through the middle as to a best way forward for the Rangers. I do suspect, however, that on certain forums this is not helped by an unhealthy input from non-Rangers interests; who are intent on muddying; the waters at least; and seeing us die at worst. A point of note is that the combined membership of the fangroups and forums is but a drop in the ocean compared to the total number of Bears out there in the world. So for one or two of the groups to assume that they talk for all fans, let alone make comments about our ignorance and our not being able to make an informed judgment about the present situation is –to me – a pretty big statement, And to me a pretty big personal slight. Just before I go on to fan ownership, I’d like to predict that – in this situation - we’ll have doodly-squat to say about the present future of Rangers and whoever will next be in charge. Why? Because these decisions at present are totally within the control of the administrators, and the fan groups are neither in a position to finance nor influence them – despite their best beliefs and intentions. They’re out of their league. Why? Partly, lack of solidarity. They’re unable to unequivocally say “If you want 50,000 bums on those seats, these are our terms.” The issue of fan ownership unsurprisingly seems to be met with almost universal approval – at least on the forums. If ever we needed to pay heed to warning signs on the issue, it’s now. We are not united, we do not have a clear purpose, and no-one to this date has been able to give clarity of what theyare talking about. It’s just – fan-ownership, man! It’s cool, it’ll be OK. So – fan ownership. What is it? What does it mean? Great - you’re as much in the dark as I am. To my mind, it doesn’t mean getting one or even two fans on the Board. It’s about influence and governance - and influence and governance does not necessarily mean a big bum on a seat with the Hoi Polloi. It means purely what it says – influence. I would say that we add to that accountability, clarity and oversight. Regarding fan membership, I’m pretty sure we’ve missed the boat this time. No matter, I think that the time has come to put some serious thought into the issue of how we take care of our Club in the future. We are not joined up, never have been, and we don’t have an agreed agenda. I believe that we should use this present situation tohave a truly reflective and far-reaching consultation of the Rangers family. It wouldn’t cost a great deal to set up. I would rather chip in to a serious consultation than the Save Rangers Scheme or the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund. The analysis would require a lot of effort. However, the end result would be an agreed understanding of who we are, where we want to go, and how we should achieve that. It might result in a clear agenda for the future. An agreed way forward. Otherwise, we can let the next lot muddle through and face the hurdle once again. That hurdle would involve asking the same questions.
  25. Do we honestly believe that the Scottish media will have an unbiased agenda in finding out what has happened at our Club? Frankie's right - there should be a Public Inquiry. Either that or the mother of all court cases.
