  1. Agreed the time has come to involve Westminster and Holyrood. And the SFA/SFL. What happened yesterday wasn't what it appears to be. It was a political handwashing. "Not my fault - I've done everything within my power- blah de blah ..." Regan deserves to be hung out to dry. Even non-Rangers fans I talk to know that. Sooner or later there will be an Inquiry - I fear it will be later. The immediate issue is pressure. The MP for Glasgow South West is Ian Davidson. http://www.scottish.parliament.uk/msps/con-gsou.aspx'>http://www.scottish.parliament.uk/msps/con-gsou.aspx The Deputy First Minister is the constituency MSP for Glasgow Southside. Regional MSPs should also be accountable. http://www.scottish.parliament.uk/msps/con-gsou.aspx When they are made fully aware of our concerns, and they make a response, they are then politically accountable.
  2. Obviously semi;colons; aren't allowed on; Twitter;
  3. A quick fact finding mission about Goebbels and agitprop should enlighten. Whatever happened at the meeting - in our name - is an irrelevance now. Whatever appeared in the press FIRST is the fact. Will we ever learn?
  4. I'd like to see a panel of volunteers to do due diligence. Volunteers like WS and Ally. This could be the last ever takeover or the next. I worry.
  5. That lot would have been screaming to the heavens. We just make noises on the forums.
  6. The lad's much better in the top half of the pitch than the bottom. All his best work is as an attacking midfielder. His defensive work is woeful. Cracking goal today. Absolute stunner. Must rate for second best goal of the season after Stokes/Samaras/Hooper etc.
  7. This thread is evidence that fan ownership will make a far poorer job of running our Club than CW did. It would split the support into factions and pit Bear against Bear. It would ultimately destroy the support - which is our greatest asset. Now - don't get me wrong. I'm all for transparency and accountability. Also I believe that the right mechanisms should be there to ensure that a broad church of the fan base oversee that. However, decision making, policy and press releases/interaction should be left to someone other than the fans. Take on board opinion by all means. But a few fans deeming to speak for the Club without thinking it through is pretty naive - and in this case, pretty petty and eventually self- destructive.
  8. As I said on another thread - Lordy, they're hurting. Only time their machine is silent is when they're on top.
  9. Thanks Ian This guy comes in for somestick, and accusations from all sides about bias. My take is that he's pretty unbiased, but doesn't miss the mark when he has an axe to grind. I don't mind the guy, and - in comparison to his peers - his presence is important in the Scottish media.
  10. Lordy - they're really, really hurting.
  11. Difficult one this. The screwed up TV deal goes to show that the majority isn't right. I'd like to see a 14 team league and summer football. Maybe the voting structure can be amended in areas that are non- financial. If - as I'm sure is the case - Rangers and Celtic overwhelmingly provide the fans who pay to go games and pay subscriptions to sports channels then why should teams who provide a pittance in comparison get even splits and even money. Just encourages bad management. But I agree something needs to be done. Also about Celtic's effective coup of the SFA.
  12. I think that the administrators will be well aware of how much they are in the public eye and how every little thing will be scrutinised if CW comes back. Interesting he's making noises again when it looks like the Ticketus deal might not fall to us
  13. Hawthorn: It's alright, ah've locked him in. Lawwell: What about his human rights? Hawthorn: His whit rights?
  14. Agreed Bears, although I would like to see some form of democratically elected second tier fan governance. A sort of "watchful eye" and level of scrutiny that would give accountability and transparency. Two or even three seats on a - say - 12 man board sounds fantastic but wouldn't have any teeth.
  15. Reading between the lines, it would say to me that - after considering the verdict, the BKs reckon that the Ticketus deal isn't as cast iron as they originally thought. Also, given the moves by Brian Kennedy, I have a feeling that the Ticketus bum is out the window. Purely speculation on my part.
  16. This guy is better at porkies than Craig Whyte. Faktum.
  17. Gribz- it's because you're no longer on the equator - you just think you are. Never seen the movie 2012? You'll be in the polar circle come December. Good news is that Parkhead will be in the middle of the Sahara, and Ibrox will have a sub-tropical climate akin to Barcelona! Due to the catostrophic shift in the earth's crust, however, Hampden - along with the SFA, will end up in Timboctou, where they will no doubt be severely challenged in running the local dungbeetle community properly.
  18. 100% wasn't a red. We'll appeal.
  19. Is that protection from the SFA panel aka Lunny? Must see how he wriggles out of this, given his previous .............
  20. Totally agree Zappa. Regan and Doncaster seem to be positioning themselves to "look as if they've been doing something." I'm still wondering if Regan does not have some general duties in that area under UEFA rules. He certainly does under SFA rules. It's not cited specifically as a duty, but the description of being not being fit and proper are there, so that would imply they have a duty.
  21. May as well throw media into the hat too, GA.
  22. Not Anita Goldigga perchance?
  23. What happens if HMRC end up being a larger creditor than Ticketus? Does that mean that HMRC call the shots about how many pennies in the pound? Also, if Ticketus end up being paid - say - 10p or 15p in the pound, because they have settled, does that mean their claim on future tickets has been settled?
  24. There are better informed posters on here than me, but the things I'm reading make me think this is good news (in a relative kind of way, if you know what I mean!)
  25. What was the ruling? Are they creditors? Or do they own assets? Does this mean only the BK bid will happen? What then of CW?
