The lower divisions aren't pretty. No place for fancy talented youngsters. They'd get their legs hacked off. On that subject, Mr Green had better invest in a mobile dressing room with some physio tables etc, 'cos we sure as hell won't get any of that away for the next couple of years. Lucky to have room for 11 players in the away dressing room at some grounds.

Like everyone else, I''m not happy with this, but, being realistic, it was probably the only solution for us if we wanted to play football next season. This however will not appease the rabids out there, and there will be more fun and games to come - I'm convinced. In a perfect world, Regan would draw a line under the whole sorry shambles and address those who will continue their feeding frenzy until we are dead. It's a perfect opportunity for him to salvage some kudos out of the affair and calm Scottish football down. It is after all standing on the precipice, and there's a lot to pan out in this yet. Dependent on the outcome of sponsor/media negotiations, the SPL may very well fold before too long. However, this isn't a perfect world, and Regan isn't a perfect Chief Executive. Forecast for more vindictiveness and meltdown, but heigh-ho - it sells newspapers and keeps the muppets occupied.

Two withdraw from Appellate Tribunal to rule on Rangers
bluebear54 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Grant must have found it taxing to use "oldco" and "newco" so many times in such a short article. To my mind this stinks of SFA spin. Regan phones Grant and asks him to print what is required. Grant adds in a few "oldcos" and "newcos" and Bob's your uncle! Copy. Journalism at the lowest level. -
We all know where Leggo's heart lies, but I'm not sure how much of his stuff is sourced and how much is rambling. However, I would like this to be true, and would be immensely happy if Coisty's just beavering away quietly in the background standing firm for the Club.

Awful thing to happen to someone. My sympathies are with the family.

This might get interesting. Big incentive for the SFL clubs to want us there. Would imagine they'll get miffed at Regan if pushes us out.

Glasgow Cup proposed as vehicle for Old Firm fixture
bluebear54 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Not for me. Old Firm is no more. It's gone. Anyway, they hate us so much I'm sure they won't want to play us. -
The only way to deal with this is to NEVER, NEVER, NEVER say yes to the SFA's wishes that we agree not to take disputes to the Court. This would certainly have the effect of them being a little cagier in their actions. On the subject, I'm not really sure if the request to forego our basic rights is legal in the first case. I'm also not sure if the present transfer embargo is either - given that, on the advice of their lawyers, UEFA have dropped their plans in that direction. Also, the SFA are still reneging on the the deliberation from the Court of Session. We can't acquiesce to this - I fear the floodgates would open. No authority or person should be above the law of the European Union or the law of the land. My opinion is that we should play hardball. Regan wouldn't dare disallow is into Scottish football because we failed to sign our legal rights away. It's too much of a minefield for the SFA. They would be demanding unfair conditions on one member Club therefore advantaging another. Also disadvantaging EU employees. I can see us taking the SFA to Court again - or at least I'd like to see us doing it, because this witch hunt has now gone beyond the pale. If it means not getting a license so be it. I'd still support the Club financially - as would many others I suspect. I wouldn't mind buying a season ticket if there was no football. If Scotland don't want us, let's go elsewhere. We are really not in wrong - don't believe the hype. This is an orchestrated lynching - along with a perfect storm of of other interests clashing.

Bye Steven. No hard feelings. Just don't talk about Rangers again thanks. We're nothing to you. Talk about your devotion to your new club.
-
Andy Sorry, this is totally off-thread. With all due respect, our ( ie the Club's ) response over the past five years should have been measused, reasoned and targetted. That response - or more pertintently lack of appropriate response - has been our downfall. I'm not just being a reactionary prat. I really believe that my views are being missed in the greater discussion, and I believe that they're worthy of discussion.

Nae probs. Trying to do my bit for the sake of us. That's all.

Thanks GA. Still sorry. Horrible times and feeling bitter.

celtic concerned over SPL power shift(shitting themselves)
bluebear54 replied to Steve1872's topic in Rangers Chat
We MUST show all of Scottish football (or what's left of it) what sporting integrity means. -
Apologies - I thought " Idiots hacking Zeus Website" was close enough for my rant about ISP numpties. Perhaps there's a more appropriate thread,. This one didn't seem to go where it should. Once again - apologies. It's not a real wheel. It's a metaphor.

Wow. On the bench at Norwich. How the fallen are mighty.

It's the new order. We can like it or lump it. You don't need to be a fan to make the Earth move. All you need is your Mum's computer. Not a season ticket. Or even any integrity or brain power. Just an ISP. Wonder how many Aberdeen/Dundee Utd/Hearts/Hibs/Caley/Killie/Motherwell/Ross County/St Johnstone/St Mirren fans actually emailed their respective clubs. I also wonder how many "fans" with "sporting integrity" at heart emailed those same clubs from their Mum's computer. The game's a bogey. Most people don't deserve a license to even be on the internet. But they have power. Collectively, they can change opinion. They can also change the opinion of the popular press, who have spunked over this. Sales through the roof. Whoopdy-doopdy- doo . Short term gain for long term loss. Fine! BTW. I've advocated a catch-all "let's do Div 3" but I've now changed my opinion. I think the Club should take a year out, and let the buggers sort themselves out. Quite happy to throw a grand into the Club meanwhile, see us survive, and see us play some international games, do some international bonding at Auchenhowie etc. But go along with this farce? No thanks. Don't care if it takes 4, 5, 6 or 7 years. We'll still be the the Rangers. Until I see some semblance of reality from the powers that be, that's my mission.

Reap and sow. Saw this coming and hell mend them! Will this now be our fault according to the G&Gs? -
No vote. We should not apply for anything until this tawdry situaton is sorted out. Full stop. Until further deliberations - we have done no wrong. That's a fact. Is this RFFF telling me thanks for the dosh and we'll decide what's best, and in the interests of democracy, you really don't need to know the relevant details but we'll use the dosh as we see fit. Well, bugger you RFFF. I prefer true democracy, and you'll have to try pretty hard to get my wonga the next time. I'm really pissed off, for valid reasons, and next time some pseudo-democratic call for help scheme is invented - count me out! Angry Loyal.

The disrepute charges are questionable given that there is now an ongoing criminal investigation. Not that I'm suggesting anything, but a smart cop would also want to ask the SFA and the SPL what they knew and when they knew it. Reading between the lines, SFA are a wee bit worried about the whole thing - as they should be. The SFA continuing to play hardball is not helpful in the slightest. Nothing that's been suggested recently has attempted to pour oil on troubled waters. Most forget that there are turbulent times ahead for Scottish football with a lot of bitterness and ill will between fans. That won't get better when then the SPL clubs get their way regarding more equitable distribution of income.
-
I'm not. There is an aura of half truths, imagination and lies about Green and his cohorts. There is also an abhorrent lack of info coming out of the Club. FFS, half the team are walking away, and there are no statements???? Serious doubts over SFA membership, SPL or SFL 1, 2, 3 or whatever and there are no statements. They are either totally incompetent and out of touch, or they are at it. I suspect the latter. Where's Malcolm - has he said anything? I'm led to believe he's a Bear. He'll understand. He should be telling us what's happening.
-
It crossed my mind. I'm not usually a panic merchant, but the hiving off would appear to have been done before the criminal investigation was announced. If Findlay has our interests at heart, it's now more than ever that he should look into ways of stalling what is happening before it's too late. Maybe it is too late. Talk about being gang banged. Two questions. Why and How? I fear for the future.
-
Or Ticketus? Just a thought.
-
Agreed. But the original takeover is subject to a police investigation. Is there no way of stalling things until we sort things out. Not sure about this fans buy out, and would prefer some Bear friendly types to buy the Club in the meantime. When there's more calm, we can all scope out what sort of fan ownership model we want etc. But it'll be messy if we do it within a couple of weeks.
-
I'm starting to get the impression that Green can't decide anything. He would have to ask others. Just wonder who is really behind him and who owns the assets.
-
Who gives the info to the press? The guys that make the wonga. Agents. When the football's gone, they'll still have the yacht and the island. Our money. My money. I'm a mug and I know it.
