  1. Great post once again D'Art. I couldn't think of a better use for the RFFF than to have a QC look into the whole affair. Did certain office bearers act culpably outwith the terms of their office? Would there be a case for suing Regan et al personally? I would like to think so. I just think as regards the SPL, we should move quickly. They are soon to be something else probably.
  2. Thanks for correcting me PA. So - as Frankie says, it's just musical chairs. Or is it? Now that Walter is the chairman, a lot of fans will make it very, very difficult to get rid of him. Also a lot of fans will take umbrage if he walks. So I think he wields a lot of power. Let's see if he uses it wisely. I'm interested firstly to see how he deals with Blue Pitch and the Easedales.
  3. I'm happy. It's a good option. Could have gone a lot worse. I believe that Murray is an executive director. Is that correct? If so, wonder where this leaves Cartmel - and also the Easdales and the guy that Blue Pitch wanted on board. Seems the good guys have got one more vote now?
  4. So I take it Timmy Thomson will be scrambling to write an update as we speak.
  5. Not sure. I'm still also not sure if the Club owns them, or if it's a company we've not heard of yet. We're mixed up with some people who very much put money ahead of Rangers, morals, you and I.
  6. And what about the assets? All well if they remain with the Club. But if not?
  7. Jumbotrons, shit catering, mirrors and moonbeams. And some of the worst performances I can remember in a Rangers jersey. All these things cost money, didn't you know. They certainly don't come cheap.
  8. Which reminds me. Would be great to have some clarity over our economy and who's earning what , getting cuts for what etc. Just so that we feel confident ahead of ST time.
  9. Good on you. I'd love to read his words of encouragement to us.
  10. We certainly don't look like a Club in turmoil today.
  11. As I've said, I think this is quite a bit to do with sponsorship. It certainly doesn't make it easier for the SFL to attract decent sponsorship. They also would only have us for one season. However as long as everything is fluid, nobody will be getting sponsorship. Agreed that this could be Armageddon and I think the SFL should quite rightly sue the arse off the likes of Grey and Hutton.
  12. Great work D'Art - as always. I wouldn't have been able to resist presenting your MP with the evidence that he was wrong. I take it that it's Jim McGovern we're talking about.
  13. As far as I'm aware, historically the biggest earners in Scottish football have played for that mob - such as Bellamy etc. panda I'd still like to find out how they were paid.
  14. We keep mentioning the TV deal. I think the key issue is sponsorship. We have the biggest fan base, the largest attendance and the largest viewing figures. That's what it's about. But I agree that the SPL will desperately be working out press lines to say thanks, but no thanks.
  15. Superb. Didn't think this one was going to happen.
  16. Excellent. Wonder how long it will take for the letters and emails to arrive on UEFA's doorstep. You just know they will.
  17. So the SFA sit idly on their hands while member Clubs act against their rules a articles? Wonder what Yoofa will say about that? Wonder what history will say about this?
  18. Quote: If it was blackmail, why didn't we call the police? I'm sure blackmail is still against the law in this country. Alright - I stand corrected - slightly. It was blackmail in all but name. Let's fudge it and say it was corporate blackmail. It was a shameless abuse of power whatever you want to call it.
  19. That had bugger all to do with due process. That was blackmail and will be seen historically as one of the most shameful episodes in Scottish football.
  20. Agreed. We commissioned an external investigation by Pinsent Masons and Deloitte, overseen by a highly respected QC. What are the SFA going to do? Get Rod to show off his bigotry and bias in the courtroom? He'd be a laughing stock - and he knows it too. He already got put in his place by Nimmo Smith. No - this was a good move - well worth it.
  21. As some have said, I would also not pass the full report to Regan. It'll end up getting dissected and examined on the Internet and being used against us. No regan said they had asked specific questions and wanted specific answers. Let them have those answers. Nothing more.
  22. All good news if true. Regan was vocal enough about reserving the right to ask further questions of Rangers if the investigation turned anything up. Given his stated sympathy for the fans, I'm sure we are all waiting for him to hold a press conference exonerating us and telling the world how happy he is that he can put everything behind him and move on.
  23. As far as I'm aware, ECHR does 't deal with corporate bodies. Not as victims anyway. Maybe an open letter to Regan might be a start. Surely some papers would publish it?
  24. BM, same thing crossed my mind today, that there is now a sense of enough is enough. If they try it on, I can see Regan and Doncaster on the next coach out of Dodge. I like the tentative sounds of unity amongst ourselves - even it's temporary. We do really need solidarity and unity of action just now. That might just be the way to put a stop to all this nonsense.
