  1. Is that good? I don't know. There is a threat some rabble rousers will have signed up and a threat that some well meaning Bears - who don't buy season tickets - sign up. I would hate it to stall, but it'll be interesting to see how the figures will look over the coming weeks. Also how it goes when King arrives.
  2. Zappa will be gathering the clips for the out takes show.
  3. Aye BH. Picked it up immediately too. It's quite easy to come out with anachronisms and non sequiturs when a wee bit nervous during interviews. I thought they both did OK. It wasn't exactly sympathetic questioning afterall.
  4. Absolutely. A pretty long winded way of saying nada. I see nothing in that statement to put anyone off paying their ST money into a trust. If the Club comes good, fair enough. They can get the money. Though I have a feeling the short term will be fraught with difficulties - albeit necessary ones.
  5. Never know. He might score 4 goals in the group stages! Would add a few quid on to his asking price.
  6. Frankly, how many fans do RM represent?
  7. Excellent. I'm becoming a tad more optimistic to see this joint statement. Of course it's all online, so there will need to be a significant effort to offer the chance to sign up to other fans who don't go online. Don't know if that can be approached by advertising or canvassing at games. On a positive side I've just seen it mentioned on BBC news, so it's certainly got out into the public domain. Well done to all concerned.
  8. I really think we are in a similar time and place to when Whyte was shafting us over. And equally, I don't think there's too long to go before we're in a lose/lose situation. I'm extremely concerned about Laxey wanting more shares. I think the next season book tranche is the do or die moment and I think DK is right in his suggestions on how to handle it. It's a matter of bringing power back to the fans. Alone we can't take these leeches on. They hold too many cards. Dave King is offering a last chance saloon moment. No one else is as far as I can see. I truly believe that we have no alternative to grasp that straw. Because we truly are drowning.
  9. Not the way I see it, GS. Anyway, be great if we got the discussion back on track. I only made an observation. It wasn't meant to be a discussion point.
  10. The way I see it, this is just like the pre AGM threads. A lot of good debate and points were lost and stifled in the noise and filibustering from the usual suspects. And so it happens again.
  11. This is a bit surreal. I don't really have very many on my ignore list, but the ones who are justify my decision every time. It's so easy to spot when threads like this open up. And then we have the usual suspects who only post when something like this crops up.
  12. No. Should we go to the next one?
  13. That mob wouldn't listen to him unless he had them by the short and curlies. There's not enough shares available for him to do that.
  14. I think they're concerned that they end up with nothing.
  15. What a puerile piece of writing that is. Is this numpty a Tim then? He's certainly no Bear, and he's certainly no mastermind. Why do we even bother giving him space?
  16. That's a strange one. Not garrulous enough to be Toxic. Is he out on the town? Tied up? Board not able to afford him?
  17. Has the Buffoon said something without Toxic working the levers? Certainly doesn't sound like toxic! or even a Toxic holding statement. I would imagine Toxic is getting through some G&Ts right now trying to channel his vindictiveness into some form of media statement. As a matter of interest, are the fans groups preparing a statement, because they should - and in time for tomorrow's press.
  18. Agreed. What's the figures for Edmiston & the Albion? When you put £1m against that, I wouldn't imagine there is much difference between that and £11m against Ibrox.
  19. Albion & Edmiston could be sorted I think, particularly with Dave King's backing. With the income of the Club being essentially secured by the fans against Ibrox and Auchenhowie, the power base would shift. And quite rightly too.
  20. That's how I read it. That would mean two seasons in the championship. No? There are a lot of prices worth paying to get shot of this mob.
  21. And the fans, and the fans, GS. No matter whether they watch games from overseas, buy a solitary shirt every year for the kid's Xmas present, buy tickets on a game at a time basis or whatever. They might have a lot of clout, economically, but we can't have season ticket holders pretending they are the "true" fans to the disenfranchisement of others.
  22. Don't forget the membership scheme that the Club were pursuing. That could go into a trust too, under similar terms, perhaps secured against Auchenhowie. Time to act.
  23. DB, I believe you're correct. An important error in the thinking of those who believe in fan ownership is that "they" will run the show. My view is somewhat different. No matter if this Board, the last Board, a custodian, RST or whoever runs the show, we should still have an all-encompassing membership scheme and and all encompassing properly constituted fans governance and accountability board to look after the people who are looking after us. Just because a group of fans feel they are doing the right thing, it doesn't necessarily follow that they are. After all that we've been through, you know it makes sense folks. This is where we should be starting. And now is when we should be starting. Little acorns etc.
