  1. When we have more or less lorded it over Scottish football for 20 years, I suppose we should expect articles like these from Celtic supporting journalists.
  2. If they get their hands on these assets, never mind Ibrox and Auchenhowie, the fall out will be colossal. And not only for Rangers.
  3. Exactly what I was thinking TM. If journalists sought him out, he could have said no, but why search out Green anyway? However, my take is that he did the searching out, and that he's still behind us. They're running scared and have brought out Brigadier Bullshit.
  4. BD, I agree. I have a feeling that the outrage from some is tied to the traumatic memories of Whyte and Ticketus. Where this spin is coming from is more interesting.
  5. I'm not aware of him having blatantly lied. However, I'm at the stage now where I don't trust him. He appears to be very economical with the truth.
  6. Nothing wrong with a 'selfie' in my opinion.
  7. I'm of an age (and have been for a long time) where I don't wear football tops.
  8. I don't think even this board would want to actively discourage, upset and disenfranchise a sizeable proportion of its fan base.
  9. If - and I say if - season ticket sales were to drop anyway next season (say by 5k) and we factor in the 5k already pledged, that's significant.
  10. The away is quite subtle - particularly the shorts. But the third is classy too.
  11. Apologies, bud. Totally agree with your sentiments on uniting and moving on.
  12. A gentle reminder that the doyen of investigative journalists, Alex Thomson, got it wrong. Wednesday has come and gone, and unless he knows something we don't, Rangers are not in administration. We should remember how accurate he is when he makes his next scoop.
  13. Barca - chill, please. If you care to read posts #6,#7 and #8 again, I hope you see that Davie P and I were having a friendly poke at Andy. Nothing to do with Sandy Easdale or Dave King. It was about puns. I've previously posted about not underestimating the Board, and I certainly can't recall accusing anyone of being dense - on the forum or in real life. It's not my style.
  14. Good call PapaBear. And its impossible to make a coherent strategy to protect all of them. It may well be "I'm alright Jack, take away the ladder."
  15. Does anyone know if this is 5400 fans plus 30 RSCs, or 5400 fans including 30 RSCs? I suspect the latter. Still, its not shabby, but a pile of work to be done yet before it's the type of numbers that will give the board sleepless nights.
  16. Any retreat on 1000 words?
  17. Excellent Andy. We should certainly consider using the above diplomatic pearl when the time comes. Regarding your post, there are positives and negatives in both approaches. I'm just a bit miffed about how emasculated we've become. I'd like to see that addressed as soon as practicable. This line that everyone hates us and wants to ignore us is pathetic. Our fan base is so big that we cannot fail to have clout - be it within domestic/international football, or politics. It just takes belief, then a lot more belief.
  18. Back to the CFC statement, arguably it may be a good idea to get a letter of response off to the usual suspects putting forward the thoughts of Rangers fans. Our present Board seem too preoccupied with their own priorities, and don't seem to care about the domestic or international politics of the game. This despite the fact that we are the largest supporter base in Scotland, and one of the largest in Europe.
  19. Of note, Sky won't be the motivator - in this country at least. That'll be BT, who I think will become major players as regards media.
  20. Although it's certainly gathering momentum, and things appear to be more optimistic, it's going to take a monumental effort to to sever all ties with the present mob.
  21. It's just struck me that we're perhaps overcomplicating Lawwell's statement. Now that Celtic's unbeaten record is no longer attainable, the league is won and they're out of Europe and the domestic Cups, this is merely a shameful attempt to encourage ticket sales by promoting those most favourite of Celtic pastimes - a sense of victimisation and a cause.
  22. Like it or not, this is now a form of electioneering. Dave King will need to reach as many fans as possible and persuade them of the benefits of his plans. The way I see it is that no one else is coming forward, and we couldn't do this on our own. Or at least not in a timeous fashion. I fear for the future of our Club, and in my eyes there is only one option at present to secure our future. So more power to Dave King's elbow.
  23. Phoah! That's a an old memory. Knew the guys well. Never ceases to amuse me what this forum digs up sometimes.
