Whatever the numbers that have signed up, I have yet to hear of a movement of fans who are against this. So, we have 6k to 10k signed up, and the remainder either not renewing or apathetic. Hats off TB, you're certainly not apathetic. So, have you sat down, taken a breath and worked out why you're in the minority?

The Meeting Between S Easdale and SOS at Full Time
bluebear54 replied to chilledbear's topic in Rangers Chat
Breach of the DPA is indeed a serious criminal offence. -
Following your logic then, no football board in the world would sell their biggest assets to a third party in order that they could be leased back to that Board? Is that the way you see things?

The Meeting Between S Easdale and SOS at Full Time

Rather than putting all this in the public domain, it would be a better idea to provide a summary of events to the Information Commissioner asking for an investigation. http://www.itspublicknowledge.info/ContactSIC/Contact.aspx Data protection is a very serious issue, and to my layman's eyes, there would appear to be a case of offences having being committed under the Data Protection Act (1998) -

King to set out pay-as-they-play scheme to Rangers fans
bluebear54 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
King seems to play his cards close to his chest. The Board seem to do so also - almost to the point of secrecy. At some stage, there is a need for some kind of concrete information, and not the present fluff and puff. That goes for both parties.- 78 replies

Should Rangers get the plaudits for their League One success?

Sigh! I miss Davie Weir. Wish he was our defensive coach. We don't have anyone who has his savoir faire and wisdom. -
Very often, there's a very thin line between libel and the truth. If this goes to the Court of Session, it would be interesting to see what they make of the then-contractee Toxic Jack's public threat.

The First Annual Gersnet Dinner (The Bears Picnic)
bluebear54 replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
BH - That's me just paid up in full. £18.00 Bank Transfer Ref: bluebear53 Name: Craig Whyte Just joking about the name! All details supplied in PM. Thanks for all the good work setting this up. -
No matter which way you cut it, a duopoly is infinitely better than a monopoly. If I read between your lines, you would like to see some kind of truly independent governance for our game. However, that will never happen. Look at Lunny, Regan, Doncaster as examples of true independent thought. What we have suffered under those three has been nothing short of criminal. I'm merely pointing out that we need very savvy political movers and shakers there to counter the CFC influence. And there's no paranoia there.

You going to be wearing a sombrero too? -
Scottish football desperately needs us back in a position where we can contribute to its governance.

Has anyone ever met the guy? Or was he just a Toxic mirage?
-
Thanks Ian. I thought it was so full of sour grapes that I wouldn't post it. But you're right. We should all judge for ourselves.

In the aftermath of Toxic disappearing into the undergrowth, I was wondering if Merlin would be going the same way. This because I've always held a suspicion that there was some kind of connection between them both. Therefore it's a wee bit interesting to note that his rather sordid blog from today should have the sign off "For the time being I will not be blogging about Rangers." Great days. Champions last night and today Merlin hangs up his crayons.

Thanks BH. No - my daughter would certainly have better things to do, although she enjoys going to games. I'll see how things pan out and probably go down the PM route. -
The First Annual Gersnet Dinner (The Bears Picnic)
bluebear54 replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
Thanks BD. I probably didn't explain properly. If the intention is for it to last longer, I would arrange accomodation, not drive, and arrange for my daughter to overnight with family. Otherwise, I would just drive home and not need to make substantial plans. -
I thought it was a really nice touch from Ally to bring him on the pitch for the celebrations and the lap of honour. Well done Super.

A long time ago, some fans were extremely worried about CW and the threat to our very existence. Lots of other fans weren't all that bothered, and some took the same line as you are taking here. In another place and time, when Charles Green and Imrad Khan were openly running and raping the Club, some fans were extremely worried and again took the same line as you are taking here. Now that there is a serious threat that Laxey are attempting to increase their stake in the Club by dubious means, and/or take ownership of Edmiston House or the car park, some are obviously concerned about asset stripping and lease back, which would probably kill the Club off, or, at the very least, cripple it forever. In the absence of any Board member behaving like a responsible custodian for future generations, and instead making legal threats against certain fans, I can honestly share the concerns of the UOF, who I believe are being reasonable in the circumstances. I can understand that you would like to persuade fans who are sitting on the fence to side with your agenda, but terms like ""repeat their mantra time and time again" and "King's previous role is far from good for Rangers" are certainly neither evidenced nor reasonable. As you say "people should be reasonable about this."

The First Annual Gersnet Dinner (The Bears Picnic)
bluebear54 replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
Just a minor question, BH. Is that all the festivities over at 7:30, or are there other plans. This is purely to know if I should plan to stay over in Glasgow or drive home. -
I'm pretty slow these days. Not wanting to dampen the feeling of success with regards to the petition, but would this have anything to do with Toxic's ill-advised threat? See this thread: http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?62306-Toxic-Jack-Threatening-SOS!

Absolutely, Scott. As has been previously mentioned, there were no complaints (apart from us) when this was originally announced. I'd love us to get to the final so that we can hear the bleating about CP and hear what excuses are rolled out. Because make no mistake, Timmy despises us winning trophies at the midden.

Difficult to see how this will pan out. We need to maintain some kind of momentum from last night and certainly increase it for both Cups. I wouldn't predict how it will go - I didn't even see last night coming.
