  1. While I agree, GS, now is not the time for innovation or new radical navel-scratching. Now's the time for regrouping and making sure those who run us have our best interests at heart. It's also a time for trying to find areas of solidarity between fans.
  2. The Club wouldn't need King's reported £30m all at once. However, from Kings perspective, he would be wanting some element of control so that investment would need to be a one-off affair.
  3. I wonder how much KJ really knows. It's built on "those close to King" opinions and a bit lacking in direct quotes, so really a fluff piece built on yesterday's news. However, better media coverage than the last couple of years.
  4. Agree that the bit about SOS shouldn't have been there. It's got nothing to do with the statement. I've no objections to another poll being taken and chase this issue on another platform if that's what's mandated. I'm wary of people getting an initial mandate from me then assuming I go along with everything they decide. It's the 21st century. Dead easy to take polls.
  5. I trust that's not some kind of euphemism, GS.
  6. Peralta looked OK the last time he played. But he was playing in his natural position.
  7. When banks lend money, and try to recover bad debt, there's always bad feeling. Although a Rangers bank/credit union sounds like a good idea, there are some unforeseen risks. No doubt the media would love this - and they wouldn't be able to resist their innuendo and disinformation. I guess what I'm trying to say is that in most other countries this would be welcomed, but here I fear it would be even more morsels for a rabid pack.
  8. Milton Keynes is the nearest branch. No wonder we went through £22m. The books'll show astronomical travel costs.
  9. He'll be Nr 9. Nothing surer. Ally's been bought.
  10. Take it you mean a loan/facility? We must have a bank. We need to write cheques, cash cheques, take DDs etc. Unless we're paying people with carrier bags full of cash?
  11. Can't say I've given much thought to how people look but it'll still be interesting to meet the people behind the avatars.
  12. Not a bad result.
  13. I'm surprised at you using the word "regime " but I welcome your change of heart. Quoted from Wiki: While the word regime originates as a synonym for any form of government, modern usage often gives the term a negative connotation, implying an authoritarian government or dictatorship. Webster's definition states that the word regime refers simply to a form of government, while Oxford English Dictionary defines regime as "a government, especially an authoritarian one". Nowadays the political use of the word regime is most commonly applied to any government that is most of the time not democratically elected and imposes strict and often arbitrary rules and laws on the people that are, because of the undemocratic nature of the government, non-negotiable. English language press journalists deploy it selectively to cue their news audiences to view particular foreign governments negatively. For example, in a September 1, 2013 news story, Huffington Post reporter Christina Wilkie refers to the Syrian government as the "regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad"
  14. HT 0-0 according to FF. Better than nothing, but three points would put us in the driving seat.
  15. See Finnie's on the team sheet.
  16. This, I suppose, is a clear example of both how and why we are divided as a support. Nothing in that statement speaks for me, and some of what the undertones assume makes my blood boil. However, in order to all move forward, a lot of people will need to delete a few things from their shopping list. It would be pointless having all your wishes, yet being left with a decimated core support of 5,000. Is that really what some want? A smaller Rangers but built in their own image? There is a distinct need to find some common ground and drop the more controversial demands. Perhaps as a start, one area of common ground could be the sustainable future of Rangers?
  17. What time's kick off?
  18. I think the pressure should continue to be applied. Remember back to pre-AGM. The foot was taken off the gas, and they we asked their way into a successful position.
  19. Disagree. I think they're starting to feel like they're between a rock and a hard place. My suspicion is that the game is up, and they don't have many answers.
  20. So if a burglar broke into your home and was on his way out with the family silver, but you stopped him, and he put all the stuff back, he would deserve credit?
  21. Was just going to post this. Here's the LSE statement:- http://m.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/mobile/news/detail.html?announcementId=11903443
  22. What kind of world awaits us in the SPFL? CFC with the GB out of control? Dundee Utd feeling that Ibrox is dangerous for their supporters?
  23. Don't you like him SC? Or do you just not like what we haven't read yet?
  24. The bill for policing an Old Firm game would make your eyes water. If you got a crowd of - say 10,000 @ £10 per head, that wouldn't come near it mate.
  25. The police presence that Police Scotland would insist on would very probably make it unprofitable.
