  4. FROM THE SFA:- Falkirk FCs Claim of Wrongful Dismissal in respect of the sending off of its player Patrick Cregg in the match against Rangers FC on 17th January has been dismissed, following a review by referee William Collum. Having reviewed the circumstances of the player's sending off, the referee indicated that he is content with his decision and, in accordance with the Disciplinary Procedures, the Claim is dismissed automatically. In explanation of the referee's decision, the following definition of serious foul play as detailed in the FIFA Laws of the Game is provided: "Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force and endangering the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play." Cregg will be suspended for Falkirk FC's next match against Motherwell FC on 24th January. The player has also incurred a 1 match fixed suspension with effect from 31st January as a result of his breaching the 18 disciplinary point threshold.
  5. RANGERS have won their appeal over Sasa Papac's red card in Saturday's 3-1 win over Falkirk and he is now free to play at Aberdeen this weekend. Referee Willie Collum looked at the incident again and decided that it should not have been an instant dismissal after Papac challenged Falkirk substitute Mark Stewart on the halfway line. The matter will now be referred to the Review Panel who will decide if a yellow card should be issued instead. The Panel, which consists of an ex-referee, an ex-manager and an ex-player, is due to meet before the end of the week. If it decides that a yellow card is appropriate then three points will be added to Papac's disciplinary record. He currently has 12 points and would therefore move to 15 which is three short of the threshhold where suspension kicks in. It's a welcome boost for manager Walter Smith as Papac has been one of the most consistent performers in the side this season. http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,5~1527618,00.html

    welcome to gersnet m8......
  8. the world has gone mad............
  9. I don't think I will be renewing my membership this year!
  10. You can tell he something special and I agree if he was to go without being given a chance here first would sum up the state we are in and what kind of people are running our club at present. Fans have been waiting for years to see him play regularly for Rangers but they may never get the chance if this story is true and he is another player they want to push out the door for money. I certainly hope it's not true but it wouldn't surprise me if it was to happen.
  11. Fleck and Wilson being linked to EPL clubs in the papers today!! http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/article2137500.ece
  12. A response from SDM.......he just keeps repeating himself...... http://sport.scotsman.com/football/David-Murray-interview-39We-deserve.4877879.jp
  13. This is in the past m8 last year but we all enjoyed it we done great to get to the final. But we've just had one of the most embarrassing exits in our history this year have we not are you happy about that? We've only won 2 titles in 8 years, they are going for 4 in a row, so how can you say we are as good as them? Most fans are but is that it after all the money we've spent, not a great advert for us is it? If there was another we'd probably buy him as well. :fish: We still have a slim chance yes but the players and manager don't seem to be helping much!! I think you need to open your eyes a bit more if you think we are in good hands and things are going to be OK in the near future. What is it about us that you are optimistic about? Being second in the league to our average rivals again? Or the manager who keeps picking his favourites or playing players out of position and hardly giving youth a chance? Or the fact our chairman and board have again got us into so much debt that we need to sell our best players for virtually the same kind of money we bought players in and haven't even played them? I used to enjoy watching Rangers play football and players fighting/playing for the jersey, not the long ball crap we play now with no passion whatsover. But good on you for being so optimistic well done.
  14. 1-1 lucky buggers..........
  15. I never heard the phone in but if some fans believe that then we're never going to unite and move forward. If they have read the protest campaign surely it would start to sink in a little bit what SDM has not done in the last decade or more and him and his supporters are living of the past glories.........
  16. And another tricky game for us the way we are playing
  17. Shroomz, are you happy with the team we have just now and the way we are playing? Also being so much in debt and having to sell our best players to get some money? Most of your posts seem to say you are, sorry if I am wrong!
  18. I don't think he's great either m8 and have said similar in the past but at present I would play him before Barry everytime as he is giving us nothing at all but as Hemdani has disappeared of this planet Barry gets the armband straight back and will never be dropped no matter how bad he plays or how little he does. Barry, Mendes and Davis sounds a decent midfield but they certainly don't show it..........
  19. Since he has came back IMO he brings nothing to the team now. For a captain he should be ashamed and made to watch his performances to prove it. Last night Mendes IMO was doing the work of 3 players in there, similar to what Barry used to do but against a first divison side him and davis were shocking and hardly seen until near the end of the game and even then it wasn't long!! Edu or Hemdani can't be any worse then he is just now but he will never get dropped by Walter and that for a start is wrong......
  20. I can't see him moving to Man City but for some money talks, however he is already rich and settled and has said numerous times he would never leave for the money and I actually believe him...........

    Beasley

I'd play him at home but certainly not in a hard away fixture (which is everyone these days for us). Another who drifts in and out of games which is not good enough. He is however the best corner taker and crosser for us IMO (although that is not saying much either as I don't think we practice set pieces do we)!!!

    Chris Burke

Like most of our youngsters, they start off great, full of energy and promise but rarely do they improve much and most move on to lesser clubs. I don't know if it's the players fault/attitude or what is going on at the club or training ground but not many really make it. I hope Fleck bucks the trend and becomes a very good player for us but he needs to be getting more games before he can ever do that and we also need better players beside him for him to improve also............
  23. Not seen it yet, but it's a woeful game and performance by us again!!!
  24. I would amazed to think that the majority of fans still think that SDM will help us get back on top but I do know there is still a good percentage that do. I agree even if they did think there is a big problem most would never actively protest as they don't care enough or would have something else better to do!
  25. Just saw Boyd's agent on SSN there saying the Boyd deal to Brum is dead.....lets hope so!!!
