If true, I'm sure he will still get more caps (Scottish football is that bad he is still one the of best players we have for our country in midfield) as I doubt Burley will last much longer as we've no chance of making of the making the world cup have we? Maybe Burley was jealous of the guys having a good time on the bevy and he wasn't

Exclusive: Middlesbrough eye summer move for Rangers defender Sasa Papac Mar 28 2009 By Euan McArthur ENGLISH side Middlesbrough are on the trail of Rangers star Sasa Papac. The Premiership strugglers are weighing up a summer swoop for Papac as they bid to solve their troublesome left-back position. And boss Gareth Southgate is preparing to send a representative north of the border to run the rule over the 25-times capped Bosnia-Herzegovina defender when Rangers return to SPL business next weekend at Falkirk. Papac, who is preparing for his country's World Cup qualifier in Belgium today, was linked with a move to French club St Etienne last summer but opted to remain at Ibrox to fight for his first-team place. But the 29-year-old, signed by Frenchman Paul Le Guen during his ill-fated Rangers reign, could leave Govan at the end of the season as part of Walter Smith's much-anticipated Light Blues' clear-out. Papac joined Rangers from Austria Vienna for £450,000 in August 2006 when Le Guen also raided the Austrian side to snap up Libor Sionko and Filip Sebo. But his time in Scotland could be coming to an end should Boro believe he is the answer to their search for a new full-back. Southgate's side are involved in a relegation battle to stay in the top flight after last weekend's defeat away to Stoke left them in second-bottom spot. But they remain confident of staying up and are identifying possible signing targets for next season to boost their squad.

he's retired now and coaching with AZ IIRC.............

hopefully these guys will get a chance soon or they will be away. other teams play 17-19 year olds with no problem, it's only us that don't seem to !!!!
-
sad if he was to leave, some were saying he has been playing very well for the reserves but good luck to him wherever he goes.........
-
In hindsight I would have stuck with PLG if he was committed to the club but as Bluedell said he wasn't and he left without a pay-off. We all wanted change to win the league back but a manager will never be given 3-4 years to do that at a club like Rangers (and if he's good enough he shouldn't need to IMO). We are not any further forward now than when PLG took over IMO. I don't mean how many points we are closer to the scum but our long term future doesn't look good and we are much more in debt than when PLG was here.

he won't be that attacking

I was very excited when we signed Flo and he done OK for us. He didn't handle the price tag very well or all the hype which was a shame as it wasn't his fault but looked like he let it get to him..........

can't see Barry moving to Russia unless he gets megabucks. I doubt he would move his family there either but we can hope

Hundreds of players in the Championship, League One and League Two are in danger of being out of work this summer as up to 10 clubs could go bust because of the economic crisis. (Daily Mirror) This will be where we will get our summer signings from then

Rangers' Cyprus Under-21 international Georgios Efrem, who has impressed on loan at Dundee, is wanted by Fulham, Bolton, Middlesbrough and Reading. (Daily Star)

It's pretty sad he didn't even get a chance here as he wouldn't have done any worse than what we have at present and just maybe could have done really well but we'll never know. Why did the manager sign him in the first place? Oh he's done that with quite a few players hasn't he

where about m8, says he is raring to go on the BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/7959340.stm

I agree and I would not put it past SDM/Bain to bring in someone like Levein. I don't know if I would have the heart to go back if someone like him ever took charge of us...........

I think it's more about what we do just now, if we can't beat falkirk, st mirren away and motherwell at home then we don't really deserve to win the league IMO..........
-
have you been watching this season? we're more than a man short most of the time IMO, some of these players should be ashamed, as should the manager for some of his tactics/team selections in key games, it's certainly not the fans fault IMO. Fans will always respond to at least a team of players giving their all for the club, I would not say many are doing that would you? Until this happens the fans have every right to be on their backs expecting more from them.........If we do win, it will be FOR the fans will it not
-
We'll soon find out if the manager and players have the right attitude to win the league. They didn't in the cup final against our biggest rivals, they didn't in the last 2 league games against them either and didn't in quite a few other SPL games recently. If we saw more commitment from the club, manager and players I'm sure more if not all fans would have the belief you are talking about and want......is that too much to ask seeing as we're paying to watch them play while they receive handsome pay checks? You can't believe in a product no matter how much you love it if you don't think it's good enough can you
-
There is only so much negative football you can take and that is coming from the manager is it not? Going for draws in Europe is one thing but doing that against SPL teams and sometimes at home I never thought I would ever see that from Rangers..... Is it OK for the manager and players to talk about being positive but being the total opposite on the pitch? No wonder so many fans are so negative when they are watching the dire performances on the pitch these days with not much commitment from many well paid players and also hearing the news coming from the chairman about the state of our club, the state he has put us in!!!

MADJID BOUGHERRA is expected to hand Rangers a major boost by declaring himself fit for Saturday's SPL clash against Hearts at Ibrox. The Algerian defender missed the Co-operative Insurance Cup Final defeat by Celtic with a calf injury and, with David Weir suspended for the game against the Tynecastle side, there were fears that Rangers would have a huge defensive headache. However, Bougherra is expected to declare himself fit and Kirk Broadfoot, who was red-carded against Celtic on Sunday, is fit and available for selection despite struggling with a foot ligament problem. Broadfoot's dismissal will result in a one-match suspension in next season's League Cup competition. The game against Hearts comes hard on the heels of the Old Firm defeat and gives Rangers the chance to return to the top of the table. Celtic do not play until Sunday when they face a testing journey to Tannadice and Rangers will want to put them under as much pressure as possible. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/display.var.2496028.0.0.php
