  14. 2-1 for the gers.........
  15. Half the team seem to have picked up his 'flicking' of the ball with the outside of their foot. It's not as if he's that good at it but the rest are just hopeless, it just gives away possession very cheaply and we can't afford to do that!!! He rarely holds on to the ball and it's usually a first time pass back to the defender or a flick on to someone.......... I would much rather have Barry there than Mendes........
  16. good goal but their defence and keeper are shite, we need to go at them right from kick off.......
  17. I agree with Ian that there is no point in bringing in someone else (or who would take it) if no or very little money was made available to them. Walter is the best man for the job at under the present circumstances. I don't however know how much longer I can pay to watch what I am watching. Winning trophies is the aim and Walter has done great since he's been back but there has not been many games that I have enjoyed watching in the last so many years, results mainly good, performances mainly poor, average at best. IMO I am not getting my moneys worth when I go. Most of players don't seem to care enough about the team and we are meant to have many so called Gers fans playing for us!! I did want to start taking my wee boy to the games but christ he's not going to enjoy watching that type of football or be entertained for 90 minutes is he? I don't think I would put him through that or pay the money for him to watch that. It's not like there is anything for young kids to do before, or after games in or around Ibrox so that doesn't help matters.
  18. People can surely leave when they want, especially if you're 4-0 down at home!! First half we were good but the defending was woeful in the 2nd half. We should've had a penalty yes but the way they created chances and how they took them it might not have made much difference but we will never know, but it certainly didn't help us. Naismith moaned at the ref the rest of the game which didn't help him or the team. But the ref was shocking, why do we keep getting these prats? I don't see why fans should stay until the end, are Rangers going to score 4 or 5 goals? Do they deserve to be clapped off by fans who have spent a fortune being at the game? I don't think so......... Good on the fans who stayed till the end but no need to slag others who can't watch their team getting stuffed at home......
  19. Not the worst but certainly not the best!!! Ref - Craig Thomson Assts - Martin Cryans & Tom Murphy 4th official - Steve Conroy http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/documents/RefereeAppointments/4.October2009/SPL/Round%207_3-4%20OCT_.pdf
  20. he's 6/4 to score at anytime tonight, i'll be having a bet on him at that price, if he doesn't i of course hope we get a result and if he does i'll be getting cash back......
  21. WALTER Smith will walk away from Rangers if the club don't give him money to strengthen his squad. Talks opened over the weekend with the Ibrox manager and the club's new chairman Alastair Johnston, who sees Smith as a crucial player in his vision for Rangers. But Smith will require guarantees from the board before committing himself to any new deal. Having had to watch two transfer windows open and close without being able to buy a player, Smith will be reluctant to continue without investment in front-line personnel. Jerome Rothen was dragged through the summer window just as it was closing but cost Rangers nothing and Smith believes the club cannot afford to stagnate any longer. That's why Johnston will have a difficult task to keep Smith onside. But at least the new man has opened negotiations to hold on to the manager and assistants, Ally McCoist and Kenny McDowall. All three will be out of contract in January but when asked if he wanted to keep the manager in place the chairman was emphatic. "I want to give them new contracts," he replied and now he hopes to persuade the trio they should sign new deals. However, without transfer guarantees it might prove impossible to keep Smith, who experienced serious downsizing twice at Everton. Now he is going through something similar at Ibrox and although he wouldn't elaborate on his thinking he did say: "The chairman indicated he would want us to sign new deals but a lot of things have to be considered. "A lot has been happening at the club and so there is a lot more to it than just saying okay and signing a new contract. The direction we all want the club to take has to be considered as well as various other issues." Johnston admitted he doesn't have any idea how long he will be chairman because Rangers are still for sale. However, his plans include the current management team and although he suggested it was too early to worry about January transfers, he hopes it will be possible to make signings. Smith's concerns centre around whether or not Rangers will be in a position to release funds for new players and Johnston seems to agree the team and standard of play need to be enhanced. The chairman said: "The board are very supportive of the management team." http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/2009/09/29/walter-smith-warns-rangers-give-me-transfer-funds-or-i-ll-quit-club-86908-21708804/ Another negative story from the media on the day of a massive game for us, what a shock!!!
  22. then fabiano scores after 2 mins and we all sit down again with our head in our hands only joking c'mon the Gers :spl:
  23. 3-0 rangers............boyd hat-trick..............
  24. ok i said that wrong, but i thought murray park was meant to be mainly a conveyer belt for some of the countries best youngsters to eventually break into the first team. what's the point if they are hardly going to get a chance, I think even youngsters now know they are better off elsewhere such as Motherwell, Hibs, Hearts.......... As for the training side they don't seem to be busting a gut everyweek during the game, maybe they need more training sessions or dare I say staying back in their own time to improve their game in any way they can!!! They have the best facilities available to them but nothing that I can see is improving us as a team......
  25. we all know Walter won't change. The only chance we have of playing youngsters is with a new manager in charge. I like WS but the football is not going to get any better under him and at present there is actually no need for us to have murray park. hopefully we can get a new manager who would use it to our advantage sooner rather than later.........
